Hartsons Gut 0 Posted November 9, 2007 We still avereage 24000 fans each home match. How long before we see 14000 like the Hamilton/Rioch era?

Barclay Boy 0 Posted November 9, 2007 Hopefully not again, those were not the best of times. For my sins I will probably still go. What about everyone else, what will it take for people to stop going to games?Relegation to League One perhaps?

Stevie Wonder 0 Posted November 9, 2007 As around 20,000 of them have season tickets it won''t be this year!If relegation occurs or if we avoid relegation but the performances don''t improve you can see a significant drop in season tickets being sold. I''m not getting much enjoyment out of my £400 and haven''t for most of the last 3 years. I had to chose between a season ticket and Sky Sports this season and unless things improve then I will not be renewing and will just go to games as and when. nutty nigel 7,536 Posted November 9, 2007 We are due a good old I''m not renewing rant thread! We have too many season tickety holders. It''s not healthy. I hope people mean it this year and then the club cap the number at whatever it drops to.

The Fish Seller 0 Posted November 9, 2007 I don''t think any fans will give up per se but it would not surprise me in the least if a fairly large number of fans stopped going to matches so regularly for a while. Say until the Smiths are no longer in control. Obviously as 20k approx are signed up for better or for worse ''til next May you would not see the effect of this until next August.Give up? Never!!!!!Fed up? Suspect it''s not just me.

Cluck 0 Posted November 10, 2007 There is a vast difference between giving up the club and losing faith in the team. The club has been around for over a century and no doubt will be around for the next....but the present incumbents are barely a decade old and it is these people many of us have no interest in. This appalling squad has been assembled by Smith and her cronies...so the sooner they leave and hand the club back to the City of Norwich the better. It''s true what has been said in that "once a Canary fan...always a Canary fan"....but there are different ideas of how to protect it...and some of us see withdrawing our financial input in the short term as a strike against the Board...not the club........NCFC will outlast Smith and Co....and will no doubt outlast every single one of us on here...... Mello Yello 2,294 Posted November 10, 2007 If I were ever to give up.........My moderate Guinness drinkin'' KFC, Pizza, Kebab (mixed) and family pie scoffing habits (including my hectic Saturday socialising) will be seriously affected. I can tolerate around 100+ minutes of sheer frustration and nausea, with the happy thought of slurpin'' an'' a scoffin'' - and more slurpin'' (an'' a scoffin'') after the game.[B][pi]I voluntarily attend the ''Betty Lard'' clinic during the close-season.......when I''m suffering from ''cold turkey''......But, it don''t taste that bad..... ricky knight 0 Posted November 10, 2007 if you think only glory hunters are the ones to give up you need a reality check. I have many pals who have followed city over decades who are choosing not to go as they are frustrated at whats going on, i certainly wont go till HRH is gone and as i have said before i am a FAN of 40 yrs standing. Rudolph Hucker 0 Posted November 10, 2007 I wonder how much the attitude of supporters is affected by age and experience?Norwich are my Club but I gave up my season ticket two seasons ago and have been to occasional games because I am fed up with the underacheivement.I love my Club.....but it is not unconditional. canarychris 0 Posted November 10, 2007 You support your team through thick and thin, it doesn''t matter how performances go on the pich. You take the good times with the bad, that is what being a football supporter is about.
