DRURY OUT FOR MONTHS!!!

Recommended Posts

Drurys had an operation and will be out for months. This is bad, very very bad, Murray cant play there, Lappins no better. We need to get a Left Back in quick.

Wonder if Glenn will be able to pull something out of the bag and get a decent left back on loan in time for Sunday? I think so, he will get some one in today or Saturday, sure of it. Shame about Drury thou, he may have his doubters, but I still think he is decent.

Drury is a key player who copes with little cover in front of him and is the difference between our defence playing well or not. Name me one game where our defence did not look out of kilter or play poorly when Drury was out.

The man is a legend.

i do feel sorry for drury and i hope he does get better soon but hopefully someone else will come in and be a lot more assertive (if spelt right) at that position and actually get a tackle in before the opposition are sat on our goaline. but yeah get well soon adam

Yep, bad news.

As poor as Drury has been, at least he is a specialist left back. Lappin''s form has been appalling regardless of where he has played, so he shouldn''t be anywhere near the first team.  While Murray has shown that he is simply incapable of playing at left back, end of story.

So one big headache for Roeder, which once again highlights how poorly prepared this squad was for this season. Just how many loans players can we get?

He is always getting injured

i know most of them have been quite serious but the way lappin has been playing and the way murray plays left back its not lookin too good especially cos hux can''t defend the left side is going to be verty weak defensively

Hope its not too bad though

Possibly try and get someone in from West Ham, Spector or Davenport. Or possibly try and get Olivier Bernard in, did roeder manage him at Newcastle?

no chance! an injured adam Drury (or a 1 legged Adam Drury even) would be better than Olivier Bernard! infact im willing to bet my baby Daughter is better than Bernard! he''s crap!

not pleased to see anyone Injured but Adam being out could be a blessing.. allows someone else to come in and stake a claim for a 1st team place... I dont think Adam has been a great perfromer in the last 2 seasons and someone else coming in could become a regular in the position.. which might be a good thing

jas :)

What is this overpowering attitude towards anti- Lappin? Hes fine, a good player that is the best passer at the club! I would be frustrated being a left mid playing so often at left back, he has shown fathomless patience and is a player we would regret to lose.

Anyway, Roeder said in an interview that hes sees Lappin as a more offensive minded player so he appears to rate him so ya booo to all of you.

Am sure he is feeling as  gutted as I am that he wont be fit to play for probably the rest of the season. As much as many of you put down his performances he has been Mr reliable and consistant in my books. Everyone makes mistakes at some point but he less than most. He has made that position his own and we have no one as reliable to fill it despite some of the pre-nursery comments on here at present.Wish was filling that slot Sun. He more than most out there knows how important this game is to us and has the ability to keep a steady head.Wish you a speedy recovery.

Roeder said he felt tha Lappin is a bit attack minded for the kind of left beck he wants/needs, i dont really think its Lappin bashing more a need for as solid as possible defensive unit.IMO.
