ca 1 Posted August 28, 2006 Hello from one of the hundreds of idiots, backsliders and fairweather fans, as Ralph Wright describes us protestors from last season. [:D]Just wondered if I could ask all you fans who''ve defended Worthy through thick and thin just one simple question, you too Ralph. When will you start chanting his name? Heard the Barnsley fans sing Andy Ritchie''s name loud and clear but didn''t hear any chants of support for Worthy, so just wondered why not.
nutty nigel 7,902 Posted August 28, 2006 Where I sit in Lower Barclay E Block some chant his name, but they are all muppets up there and tried to support the team last season too!!! Heard it at Torquay on Tuesday too!! You would think they would have more sense!! Rubbish football!!! Rubbish signings!!! Worthy Out!!!![;)]
xxxx 0 Posted August 28, 2006 The turnaround is all to do with Martin Hunter , if it was down to Worthingtons ability why did he not stop the rot last season ?

kev g 0 Posted August 28, 2006 Funny. But i am sure i heard "we are norwich suprer norwich and worthy is our king" chanted a few times saturday maybe my hearing is playing tricks
John Boubepo 0 Posted August 28, 2006 I actually heard a small rendition of Martin Hunter''s green n Yella army which seems very apt given the circumstances
sts 0 Posted August 28, 2006 I don''t thing (or hope) we will hear chants to any extent for Worthington. That would make him more arrogant than ever. Hunter is the man who has made the difference so it is he who will get the chants.

A fair old few don''t sing that last line.
nutty nigel 7,902 Posted August 29, 2006 Then why don''t we all chant worthy out again like last season??? We could drown out the few who chant his name!! [;)]

A fair old few don''t sing that last line.
I noticed the same thing, I sat listening with interest while that chant was in progress thinking "I wonder what will be said when it comes to the end?" but as you say, it totally tailed off, and most people just shut up before having to mention Worthington''s name. Not surprising really, as this turn around is nothing to do with him.
Herb 0 Posted August 29, 2006
Not surprising really, as this turn around is nothing to do with him.
No, its totally down to the hardy souls who spent the tail end of last season cheering opposition goals.''Cos they didn''t renew their season tickets...Good riddance to bad rubbish. Marty 0 Posted August 29, 2006
The turnaround is all to do with Martin Hunter , if it was down to Worthingtons ability why did he not stop the rot last season ?
oh yes of course every manager has identical seasons, I mean it''s not as if any other circumastances changed! oh it also has nothing to do with the 11 players on the pitch. For Christ sake give the guy some credit. So if we do well it is Martin Hunter and then if it goes pear shaped it is Worthy, this logic is banal.
Rustyboy 2 Posted August 29, 2006 In my section of the Snakepit we changed the words to "Earnie is our King" Perhaps some of you heard this.
Faded Jaded Semi Plastic SOB 1,220 Posted August 29, 2006 Herb please not that old myth again, it was an opposition goal that was applaued, not opposition goals that were cheered. Not sure what the point of this post is City Angel, other than to open up old wounds.....
ca 1 Posted August 29, 2006 No, not trying to open old wounds S.O.B. just getting fed up of last seasons protestors being called everything under the sun in virtually every post Ralph Wright has made these past 2 weeks.I just wanted to know why he and others supports him on this message board but dont do it verbally at the footy.I think we should all move on and enjoy the success we are experiencing at the moment whether we are Worthy fans or not, but he just wont let it be. nutty nigel 7,902 Posted August 29, 2006 Well I''m glad City Angel started this post, it''s not pointless because we all want worthy out don''t we?? He is a horrible man and nothing good that happens is down to him but everything bad is his fault! I''m gonna tell my kids about him if they don''t eat up their veg, he is like the bogey man!! Maybe we could get up a petition or something to have him removed, if there arent enough people to sign we could maybe sign it a few times each!! Thankyou for this thread City Angel, our voices must be heard!! Worthy Out!!! [;)]

nutty nigel 7,902 Posted August 29, 2006 I''m not chanting his name cuz i want him gone, just like you!!! Some do chant his name near my seat but they are the same people who did last season!!! They think he makes good signings too!! One actually said Etuhu looked a bargain at £500,000!!!! What Rubbish!!!! Worthy Out!! [;)]
xxxx 0 Posted August 29, 2006 Things have only changed because of the protests , if everybody had stuck their head in the sand like some on here things would be no different now . Maybe Worthington is being kept as far away from training and tactics as he can be that would certainly explain the improvement.
nutty nigel 7,902 Posted August 29, 2006 Too right NotWorthy!! But we should carry on protesting and maybe we will get our wish and have him out!! Thats three of us now!! Howabout a protest after the Palace game!! Worthy Out!!!! [;)]
The Great Drinkell 51 Posted August 29, 2006 The man is an example to us all, he has stuck to his principles and handle him self with dignity .The appointment of Hunter and the capture of Croft are really the only differences to last year but what a difference. Maybe Worthy didn''t want to waste money on "any" player after the unfortunate injury to Marney last season -who is hardly excelling at Hull dispite demands for Worthington to buy him.I also think the expectation is a lot lower this season - which must help? I feel that Worthington has been very strong during this out cry for his head. IMO the problem is with the "oversensitve few" who feel that every comment - normally spoken after the heat of battle - is aimed directly at them. I for one admire Worthington - the man- even if I don''t always agree with his footballing actions. Having said that I sit near a lot of football "experts" and don''t always agree with there views either, and i''m sure them, mine. After all the games easy from where I/We sit. During the Premiership season Worthington handled himself with a proffessional dignity and did the same last year, I now wish him every success this season and many more to come (if successful)Just as a point of interest I spoke to a Ipswich fan the other week ( after the Hull at home game) his comments were " we played the worst football i''ve seen for years we just tried to boot it up to the front men!" Ring any bells - just a co-incidence?
Ramrod 258 Posted August 29, 2006 Yep, like him or not Worthington deserves respect for his strength of character.
Faded Jaded Semi Plastic SOB 1,220 Posted August 29, 2006 Mr Drinkell - What you are suggesting is that now Foley has gone to Ippo as coach they are playing it long, taking your suggestion to its logical conclusion it means that both Jim Magilton and Nigel Worthington are just "figureheads", with all of the footballing decisions (team/tactics) being taken by the coach, that last years terrible showing was down to Foley and this years improvement is down to Hunter......not sure I believe all of this so I will say its just a coincidence.City Angel - Now what you mean regarding Ralph Wright, now that their is unity amongst the fans he wants to conduct a witch hunt with his own brand of "McCarthyism". Do you ever have anything positive to say that doesn''t involve some personal attack on our manager? I expect more balanced and intelligent views on this board, an to be honest we norrmally get them, but not here.
Carrow89 182 Posted August 30, 2006 " now that their is unity amongst the fan "Yep, no one on here wanting Worthington sacked, no thread lambasting the board and no anti club placard wavers claiming ''it was all down to them''. There''s not still an anti club website wanting the manager sacked and there''s no booing of City players. There''s unity amongst the supporters I grant you but as to the assorted riffraff that attached thereselves to our club and are still finding fault with anything they can invent then no, there''s no unity.Odd how in their warped world of thought a rebuttal of their lies is a called a witch hunt whereas a relentlass and demonised attack upon our club manager was termed a crusade. Faded Jaded Semi Plastic SOB 1,220 Posted August 30, 2006 Ralph - So what "rebuttal" ? have you offered ? (all you are really doing is offering an alternative opinion) only the people being attacked can offer a "rebuttal" (So Ralph are you Nigel Worthington?, a Norwich City player?, a member of the Norwich City coaching staff?, or member of the Norwich City board?. Attacking other posters that have a different opinion is not a "rebuttal". I used the term "witchhunt" so apparently you now see me as one of the Worthy Out brigade ("odd how in their warped world of thought...."), which if you read my posts you will see that nothing could be further from the truth, which begs the question which one of us really is "warped!!".
