Yes, Blackburn Derby, a bit lively straight out of the blocks - and free on Sky Showcase 🙂

Nah, watching the athletics, agonisingly close for KJT but a superb Silver.

Me too. Some cracking relays and always funny to see the Yanks naff it up.

Football starts tomorrow.

Yes, but for the main media it starts with the Community Shield, 3pm kick off.

Derby playing a very ambitious 4-1-4-1 relying on Palace loanee Ozoh as the single pivot. Struggling to get out for most of the half, but Blackburn have probably gone too early and have dropped off now.

Derby also with ex-bin Jackson up front which portends poorly for them.

Watching Sheffield Utd v Preston. Arblaster looks a player from Sheffield Utd, but lucky for the goal. Not much between these teams.

In other news, Gabby Sara made his debut for Galatasaray tonight in the opening match of the Turkish Super Lig.

He came on as a 57th minute sub with Gala 1-0 down to Hatayspor, and inspired his new side to a late 2-1 win.

Blackburn next week looks tougher by the  minute 4 - 1

Always best to be cautious. However I wouldn't discount the fact that Derby don't appear to have much of a Championship squad and set up very open. They will need to get smart right quick.

Blackburn didn't have to really do anything particularly special

Blackburn and Derby both bang average Championship teams from what I can see, especially when Blackburn lose their star striker next week (ideally before we face them)

BBC table has Sheffield Utd on one point after an opening-day win. Is that a glitch or have they had a two-point deduction? Hadn't seen that.

Edit: indeed they have, according to Sky, anyway.

I wondered what was going on there too...

Yeah they got a 2 point deduction but can't remember what for (presume financial), it all seemed to be done very quietly
