cambridgeshire canary 6,792 Posted April 21 (edited) And just like that the relegation battle is looking different, first time since August that Sheffield Wednesday are out of the relegation zone  Birmingham fans must be pretty mad right about now Edited April 21 by cambridgeshire canary
canarybubbles 1,939 Posted April 21 It looks like Sheff Wed are going to escape. Since when they tried to play football in the first half against us they were utterly dreadful and looked to be heading for a 0-5 defeat, so in the second half they clearly decided to kick lumps out of our players and hoof the ball up in old Wimbledon style, I really hope they go down. The last thing the Championship needs is another bunch of thugs who play like the other half of Sheffield when they come back down.

dylanisabaddog 4,975 Posted April 21 Another awful decision in the Everton game. Ashley Young did shoot the Forest player but the ref decided the gun went off accidentally

Their two goals were simply straightforward headers from corners that we had no ability to deal with. Nothing to do with 'old Wimbledon style'.

GodlyOtsemobor 2,377 Posted April 21 It's about time the corruption of the PL started getting called out more often, it can't be a coincidence that the same sides get " the rub of the green " more often than not. It's been going on years, with the open secret of the big teams getting the decisions etc. But now it's though the powers that be have already decided who is welcome and who isn't when promoted sides come up, I fully expect if Leicester make it back up they'll stay up and get some decisions going for them to make sure they do stay up ( ex PL+fa cup champs, fairytale story etc. ) whereas the rest of us are just there to make the numbers each year, if someone like us manages to stay up, its usually against ALL odds. Of course they're making sure Everton don't go down, they're one of those clubs that are seen by the higher ups of having the " right " to be a top division team and they really don't want them dropping out of it.
Indy 3,315 Posted April 21 (edited) 7 minutes ago, Branston Pickle said: Coo - that will surely get them into trouble, but 3 pens not given is rather on the harsh side. Yeh I’m no lover of Forest but two of those were clear and obvious, third probably was too! I’d be fuming too to be honest, what’s the point of VAR! The trouble I have is that the soft penalty given to the big sides given all the time by refs and yet here they don’t give all! Surely it should be a constant of give all close call penalties and review the VAR, because each one was a clear penalty! Edited April 21 by Indy
Pyro Pete 1,917 Posted April 21 Had a look at the highlights, and the first one where the Forest player is kicked from behind is definite penalty. The handball one seems pretty clear too. Not so sure about the third one though.
