Sara and Rowe; Both sold in January?

Recommended Posts

Sell off Our quality better players and then it will be the end of city hopes of ever reaching play offs and more to a drop into lower leagues and then watch our neighbours laugh at us

Fair to say that would be the nightmare scenario. But if our form continues to be poor, and we continue to slide to a midtable finish..

Can you see it happening?

No because we can't finish mid-table in January.

Sara would slot in very well at Fulham or similar.

Rowe has a feel of Crystal Palace about him.

Doubt either will leave in January. But, as has been said, the summer will spin a very different yarn

Plus we'll get someone on a free from Watford to soften the twin blow.

I think you've called that scenario well.

Is selling both such a bad idea? What if we put the money towards a manager so good that it doesn't matter whether our players are any good?

If it involves Webber choosing said manager…..

But in squad terms - we lose those two and we are battling relegation. That’s the reality

The only thing preventing Sargent being absent from this list is the fact that he got injured. Other clubs would surely have been sniffing, even those from the lower reaches of the Premier League.

Such a mess.

Let's hope the Knapper revolution proves to be just that and a gust of fresh air that blows the cobwebs away and exposes the current incumbents for the chancers/imposters that they clearly are.

The other problem is that the further into the rear window promotion recedes, the less attractive we will look to talented players and the less likely it is that our good ones remain. The club need to sort this fast or we will slide into a place where we no longer have talent to sell to plug the lack of investment and then we will discover where our natural place is in the economic order-

We are already in the bottom three teams in the 'most goals conceded' category with only Sara and Rowe scoring for us

God help us if they go.

It may turn out that the players themselves will push for a move. This could end up like the situation with Cantwell and Buendia a few seasons back. Club will have a tough  call to make. Need Napper to hit the ground running and do the right thing and make changes to the coaching side ASAP.

I think Knapper is the only ray of optimism going forward. I really hope he has a really fixed idea of what he wants to make this club have an identity and be successful, though I hope he is going into his job with his eyes very wide open.

Selling Sara or Rowe would be nonsensical, though I can see at least one or both sold in the summer depending how things go.
