Francis Lee RIP

Recommended Posts

Dynamic player, tough as hell, good enough to play for England several times.

Franny Lee, RIP

I appreciate the pitches were awful, but boy did I enjoy that era. I remember going to watch Norwich away to Derby at the Baseball Ground, both wings were covered in sand because it was so muddy. John Robertson was playing for Derby, he could play, but boy was he a dirty player. I think we lost 2-1.

Remember him feigning a dive after had fouled George Best. 3-3 on the day and he was arguably the best player on the pitch. Had that little bit about him. Probs get booked 20 timescales season now with several reds thrown in......proper football though

A great, inventive player from the days when Man City was an actual football club. RIP
