Looks like we got lucky

Recommended Posts

Factor in the angle and the curvature of the ball, and it's likely still in play. Certainly not clear enough to suggest the assistant got it wrong.

Just for you, the player in the yellow shirt about to kick the ball is a Norwich playerĀ

Nah. Inconclusive . Canā€™t tell from that angle . Can see both posts. Put another pic up from the goal line and weā€™ll take another look. In due course. If we can be bothered .Ā

Whole ball has to be out, as you can clearly see the ball hiding a tiny bit of the line shows its in

That green bit in between the white line and the ball is definitely grassĀ

Look at the white line, it curves slightly with the ball, it's in play.

In play by a mile!

About time we got some luck, think we are owed it.

Yup. CircumferenceĀ Ā of the ball touches the plane of the line all day long . Nothing to see here.Ā

Difficult to believe people still think like this despite the furore at the last world cup.

Clue: ball is a sphere not a cuboid

If thatā€™s the precise moment he kicks the ball, imo it is a very close call andĀ possibly just in play. Ā In any case, the decision went our way for once - a very rare occurrence with Stroud as ref. I think we were due one.

The ball isn't on the ground is it?Ā  If it's on the way up after a bounce, so you need to imagine it to be lower to compare with the pitch boundaries.Ā  I'd say that's in, but by a gnats gonad.

This is a good point, the ball clearly has a gap from the boot so was this just before or after he kicked it? Just before it's probably out, just after it's 100% in

Ā EDIT: I think šŸ¤£

Who cares? We won that's what matters and we should have had a penaltyĀ

As per usual Sarge pushed over in pen area, and no foul, yet ref persisted in yellow carding for routine tacklesĀ
