Who’d Win?

Yobo or Hoggy in a race to sniff Stuart’s stench trench tonight? We have had polls before but this is the one that counts. Vote now.

I swear, whenever the weekend hits its like dealing with a kid drinking his first WKD with Midlands. The guy most certainly lives alone.

It is what it is, it’s a shame he could have a really valid point re: Webber but resorts to this kind of behaviour, sad really

If people cannot take any positives from that interview, then there really is bigger problems than Webber at this football club!

There's plenty of positives to take from Webber's rein at the club, just sadly not many at all from the last 12 months.

The interview I was on about. It’s nice to hear what goes on behind the scenes. Ref. Scouting in South America, how many full time members are staff there are, the new data analysis etc. I just can’t help but feel the clubs hands are tied by the owners putting absolutely nothing in.

Agree with this, the interview was weird though, half like you say very informative and interesting but the other half full of woe is me and incoherent rambling.

As for Midlands question Hoggy by a mile, he's the pro club defender (this isn't a criticism), Yobo says stuff for the reactions....😏

What were they?

I saw a very defensive interview full of unnecessary passive aggressive swipes- write what you want I don’t care and I don’t read it. Almost petulant. No real vision imparted- news that we must sell our best players - news that there is no fresh investment and admission that we can’t compete with the likes of brentford hence the confirmation that the ageing soon to be 34 yr old is the Pukki replacement. Depressing no?

Some people struggled for positives when we finished 11th in the PL after finishing 12th the season before. I think we’d take that now.

Not really-thriving academy, the advanced South American scouting, the freshening of the squad, what signings we are looking at (not just a soon to be 34 year old).
He was defensive, why shouldn’t he be. How would you like the abuse he takes? That’s his only platform to speak out.
Webber isn’t the root cause of the issue and it’s plain to see.

Im not depressed with a league winner coming in to replace our 2nd leading scorer.

I find the devotion of Webber's acolytes difficult to understand as well as slightly nauseating. When I was a lad and first started watching City, I loved Kevin Drinkell. Later on Disco was my hero. But as you get older, this hero worship obviously fades some what and while you still have your favourite players you don't continue to dote after them like you once did. These days however, it seems to be sporting directors that are the new heroes, not with kids obviously, but with grown men; they charge to his defense like the Light Brigade whenever his divine authority is questioned.

Anyway, to answer your question, I think they would forgo the r1mming and take a ball each, suckling like a new born calf getting their first taste of mother's milk. Ultimately, I think Yobo would come out on top as he'd be able to sustain the sucking for a longer period. Hoggy would have to stop every so often to have a go at Yobo over something he didn't agree with him about (maybe his choice of socks?) or to remind Yobo that he posted something on the forum 3 years ago that proves he's better than him in some way.

But the stability they provide has been invaluable over the last couple of decades. In relative terms, we've been very successful, compared to other similar-sized clubs, who were often lurching from one madcap owner to the next.

Feel I've been done a disservice not being included even as an honourable mention, frankly.

I will note however that folks who appear to be on the Webber side (or at least not fiercely anti-Webber) don't feel the need to start new threads to prove it and prove it again. There's usually something you can glean from that 😊

It’s probably something to do with maturity and being able to handle the intense banter of the ‘stench trench’

I’m absolutely delighted that I’ve provoked them enough that they’ve put this kind of message on a forum read by woman and children - shows what kind of character we’re and ultimately the club are having to deal with

Not every rich club has a madcap owner

It takes all sorts to make the world go round so it figures that there would be some absolute nutters as part of this forum makeup....

The crazy thing is, saying "I think we'd struggle to replace him with better and I think the Americans like him, but if they could find better then great" is now akin to some form of **** devotion to the guy.

Been on this forum long enough to know that when it gets to that sort of level it's because they've lost any vague ability to debate because they kinda know they're wrong 😀

Oh come off it! It’s hardly X rated stuff. Juvenile of course and it was merlot actually and not WKD that aided the post. To answer my own question though it would probably be a dead heat.

You’ve led a sheltered life if you’re worried about kids or women being shocked by the post.

DCB in ‘I saw no positives. It’s all so depressing’ shock.

If you didn’t find any positives in the interview you don’t listen to what’s being said. Never more clear that you have a fixed agenda. Completely verified why most on here feel your posts are entirely lacking in credibility.

Listen to it again with a note pad in hand and two columns, you might surprise yourself. Although I suspect you’re more likely to complain about the ink from the NCFC souvenir pen being blotchy

No, but the ones that do generally suffer. We've had a stable ownership for the last couple of decades and have benefitted from that.

Football is getting richer and given the mess we were in 6 years ago, we need some help. Webber even admitted that in his interview! Webber compared our outlay with premier league clubs and each one he mentioned had owners who had chipped in. If we want to keep that up, we need to ensure we don’t fall behind and teeter with administrators again!

Oh come on now Yobo lad! Playing the 'won't anyone please think of the children?' card! You're turning into a Simpson's meme! And why single out 'women'? Tad sexist. It's 2023 not 1823! I think they can handle a bit of ball sucking; the ones I know certainly can. Including my sisters.

But, to be fair, you're probably correct - I'm sure there are now an army of offended women and children crying in their cornflakes unable to cleanse from their mind the thought of you sucking Webber's sack.

I apologise to anyone else living in 1823 who may have been upset by the offending tea-bagging visualisation that I forced upon them.

Tbh I'm just a bad man in a bad world. Don't hate me Yobo. ;)

Imo we’ve been paying for the 12 months prior to that - dreadful PL return, the signings were mostly poor. Last summer’s were pretty good and stand us in far better stead, whereas are still looking to offload Rashica, Tzolis is still overwhelmingly meh.

Whereas Tzolis and Rashica were introduced into the EPL and Sara and Nunez were introduced to a league lower where Coventry and Luton have emerged as play of finalists and we finished in the bottom half.

The point I’m making being lost on you, clearly. Rashica, Tzolis and Sargent were bought for a PL season and we’re not up to it, hence we are still paying for that.
