Massive poster of Duncan Forbes

That’s magnificent to see .

What an absolute legend Duncan Forbes was. Footballer and man.
My Dad knew him and as a young boy I was lucky enough to meet him a few times post match with my Dad for a drink. He would shout (loudly) .. Duck … low flying haggis. I did .  It got me every time !  Much to his amusement.

Brilliant !
Just out of interest Nutty , was little Duncan named after big Duncan . Or THE Duncan Edwards , best English footballer ever according to my Dad .
Or maybe you just liked the name Duncan ? And why not !

Quote from the Daily Mirror years ago - “ if it moves, he’ll kick it. If it doesn’t move, he’ll kick it to make it move, then kick it “

But never been sent off !

Definitely after big Dunc and of course an agreement that we liked the name. My first suggestion Martin Peter never came close to agreement. But can't imagine little Dunc as Martin Peter so the wife was right (again) 🙃

Wonderful. He's back to collect his customary booking !

I know he never got a red but did he get many yellows ?

Dare I say it, the club may have actually done something right? I guess the law of averages was that they would hit the mark eventually.

Duncan back in the  days of him running Club Canary would often stand at the back of the queue when the coaches stopped at the usual refreshment locations and boom out ....Crocodile sandwich and make it snappy.

Oh yes ! "Forbes collected his customary booking" is a quote from a newspaper report on a Norwich match. It was also suggested that the referee should book Forbes in the dressing room before the match, to save time on the pitch !

Indeed. Good to see a commemoration of the 50th anniversary of our first promotion to the top division.

Sh*t it must be Christmas. A vaguely positive post from Buh.
