TeemuVanBasten 3,328 Posted October 25, 2022 2 points in 6 games in the Championship, is actually a worst return than any 6 game spell under Bryan Gunn. He had 2 x runs of 6 games with 3 point returns, but none with 2 points. I think we'd need to go back to Peter Grant September & October 2006 to match that. I believe I'm correct in saying that this is our worst run of 6 games for points outside of the Premier League since October 2006.

We had a run of one point in six games during the 2016-17 season under Alex Neil (including five consecutive defeats). We also had a run of two points in seven games in 2017-18 under Daniel Farke. GJL Mid-Norfolk Canary 2,035 Posted October 25, 2022 This is an unacceptable run of results in this league....for a team at the bottom, let alone one who's supposedly going for promotion. To achieve this run in this standard of league is almost impossible and definitely sackable
Branston Pickle 4,150 Posted October 25, 2022 Odd to include wba and blackpool, as those were +ve results. Surely the run excluding them is worse (2pts in 6 games). I don’t think I’ll ever quite understand how people (mis)use stats….

League 1 is where we are heading on this form. 8 points off of 22nd, and the team in 22nd has two games in hand. We've lost more games this season than the teams in 22nd and 23rd, and the same number as the teams in 17th, 18th, 19th, and 21st. None of them have gone and spend an eight figure sum on two centre midfielders this summer. We're in a complete mess, and you are in stuck in deep denial. Edited October 26, 2022 by TeemuVanBasten

You call out other people for making statements that they don't provide evidence for, then make statements like that.Where were your statements suggesting automatic promotion when we had 23 points out of 27? You pick and choose everything to paint the most negative picture possible. Edited October 26, 2022 by littleyellowbirdie

If we’d not got lambert we’d probably still be floundering around in league 1. Butterfly effect I guess.

Had we beat Preston (we should have done) and Luton (didn't deserve to, but had we done) we would be second in the league. If's but's and maybe's obviously, but it does demonstrate how quickly things change in this league.

Not as much as a maniac as you looked when you just bumped a thread from 2008 to try and point score against another poster mind.
