Congratulations on becoming EPL Young Player of the Month.

He should be performing in our team, let alone squad.

Where would you play him?

This the question. I've always said he seems a little too frail to be a fullback, but whenever he has played up top and further forward he's looked great.

First proper week-in, week-out season for him is very important. Little point having him sat on our bench most of the season, getting promoted and then having no spot for him.

Yep I agree with that and here he has about 5 players ahead of him for the LB position including Sorensen and McLean.

Possibly one for the future but no guarantees at all.

Yeah but if we get promoted, there will still not be a spot for him because a lot of the current side will either have been replaced or sat on the bench.

Maybe, maybe not. But he needs games if he's going to develop- if we deem him Lg1 level at the start of the season, and he doesn't play any games, he will still be deemed Lg1 level in May regardless.

Loan is a big chance to really push on and it sounds like Mumba is doing that.

To be fair, Argyle are top of the table and playing good football. He is spending most of his time as a winger/wide midfield player. And he is thriving. He scores and puts plenty of balls in the danger areas.

Quite honestly, our left back position, where he has been playing, is relying on two players who aren't attack minded full backs. I know you cannot legislate for Dimi but we were left with more defensive minded players after his injury.

Exactly this, when everyone is fit, he isn't going to get in the team so he's not going to develop. You can't really rely on keeping him around on the off chance that there's an injury crisis, although of course there has been one a left back as it turns out.

It's similar to the Adam Idah situation; he has always been good enough to be a backup, but not good enough to get a regular run of games, so he has never had a loan spell or a run of regular professional football in his career. In hindsight, we probably should've loaned him out a couple of years ago, even if it meant relying on someone like Drmic or Hugill a little bit more.

For a bit of comparison, Jon Otsemobor was the chosen right back in the League One team of the year before we signed him.

Pleased for Mumba, but let's not pretend it means he should be in a team with Premier League promotion ambitions.

Right winger, right side of the 3 in a 4 3 3.

He is so direct, exactly what we want, whether is actually good enough is a different question.  Seems like a good alternative to Onel, but his development will be much quicker if he plays every week.

Bali Mumba reminds me of Bakary Saka and I think he will end up playing the same role that Saka does.

Said the same months ago, long may his development continue , ok Saka is way ahead of him but the kid defo has something...and of course, he's ours. Defenders hate players like them.

It does not matter if he comes back and gets in the side if he plays well on loan we will sell him for a good fee

a lot of clubs do it to make money we were a bit slow on the uptake but this is a example of the club progress

signing a player hope he develops into a 1st teamer if not low cost and make a profit on him even if he does not make it here
