Buendia international debut

Ah well, no-one knows then?  Strange that.  Yet there are hundreds of threads on here where all sorts of inside financial knowledge has been "shared" by people.  But one simple little request for a fact here and ...... 🤔😉😆

On for Lo Celso cameo and Norwich  mentioned. Like everything in life Google is always there to help or hinder. For everthing else there's Mastercard.

Argentina 1-0 Columbia

78. Ex-Norwich City star Emi Buendia makes his first competitive appearance for his nation.

He replaces Lo Celso, who seems buoyed by his move to Villareal.

OFF Lo Celso

On Buendia

I sent an email to Neil Doncaster once to congratulate him on securing Ryan Bertrand on loan for a second season.

He thanked me.

Then we got relegated.

I sent a letter to Robert Chase, urging him not to break up the squad and in particular sell Sutton. Actually got a nice letter back saying that wasn’t on the agenda…hmmm

Na then, i assume you are not prevaricating / deflecting like Boris.  The question was not the fact he made his debut, the fact wanted was about whether a clause in the sale contract with Villa means we have more cash coming as a result.  That is, does this mean the initial fee of £33m quoted in the summer has passed another milestone and people on here can now quote a higher number?

I am fairly certain there would be a clause in the transfer regarding international appearances. It is a fairly standard occurrence, though how much is anybodys guess/

Ah. Sorry I deviated from the original thread. But I was just answering to Lakey about the game. Because he asked how he played. Should have put the answer addressed to his thread. I made a genuine mistake. Please don't beat me up about it . I'll try harder next time. You guys just carry on with your number crunching and I'll just watch football as I did with the game last night, live from my living room. 👍

My apologies back - I wasn't trying to have a go, just pushing my tongue in my cheek a little bit too hard perhaps.  As you say, skip the number crunching, back to the football with a win on Saturday.  😀

Strange they named him as that, and mentioned us rather than being a Villa player?

Strange that an ex-Norwich City player gets his international debut months after leaving Norwich.

Dunno, I suspect the jury was out on Emi until he proved he could 'cut it'  in more than one premier league Club's system.  Being Norwichs stand out player probably wasnt enough. Sadly.

He was called up to the Argentina squad for the first time when he was with us in the Championship last season - remember the pictures of him and Messi?

I do, but he wasnt capped, which was kinda my point. That trip was more of a meet n greet id say. See him close up, get to know his style/attributes etc. The second trip, while he was at Villa  didnt do anyone any favours. His performances since then are what has got him game time.

The more time heals the wound, the more pleased I am that we let Emi go at the right time. His class is really showing now at Villa and already a fan's favourite there. At 25 still has a chance of a good run with national team, especially with a good team around him  at Villa to let him play to his strengths. Sad to say we could not provide that in the prem. (Nor the salary)

I was more hinting with regard to this happen many many times with Norwich players after they were sold.
