BroadstairsR 2,273 Posted August 24, 2018 What a star, what an absolute absolute star.Is there any Canary fan who has a bad word to say about ''the cheating, pie-eating, lard arse'' (TWTD) who terrorised defences and always gave us hope of success, even in the Premier League. ron obvious 1,711 Posted August 24, 2018 A Load of Squit: On 9 minutes a chorus of ''We f**king love Grant Holt'' on Saturday please.Absolutely this. Gotta happen.
BroadstairsR 2,273 Posted August 24, 2018 All this singing stuff goes over my head and, being a Dylan/Neil Young fan, I do find the lyrics a bit simple, even stupid. However, there is nothing more stirring than, when on an away ground, to hear the boys in yellow singing their hearts out."Jingle bells, jingle bells jingle all the way,Oh what fun it is to see, City win away."(Palace c.1995 on a very boozed up Boxing Day and with a Mark Robins winner.)Keep it up boys It helps. It works.
andrew norwichcity 8 Posted August 24, 2018 Will be a while before we have a striker who can score like him. Rhodes might have a good season but I genuinely don''t see us getting someone capable of scoring 20+ goals in a season with the way we play now. Holt will always be a legend after his goals against Ipswich.
lake district canary 4,823 Posted August 24, 2018 Defenders across the world will give a sigh of relief to hear this news [:O] . Onwards and upwards with his coaching career, one day Canaries head coach.....
dylanisabaddog 6,131 Posted August 24, 2018 Not just a great player but a great captain as well.
Herman 11,136 Posted August 24, 2018 I agree. His captaincy was that extra special ingredient that is very hard to find and helped propel Lambert''s team even further.

ZLF 334 Posted August 24, 2018 soon to be Grant "The Scumbuster" Holt for WAW. I hope he ends up with a 9-2 winning record at the end of his wrestling career
Indy 3,471 Posted August 24, 2018 To be honest I thought he hung his boots up once he left us! Most underated and probably best value for money player in recent history.Long may he coach youngsters in how to focus their attitude to football as he applied himself......legend. Fiery Zac 1,066 Posted August 24, 2018 Should’ve played for England. Worked so hard at being the best he could possibly be and was wrongly overlooked at a time when Rickie Lambert got in!

AJ 1,358 Posted August 24, 2018 I feel sorry for Holt that he never got a look in for England. Everyone accepts he would only be a back up but deserved it on merit alone with a fantastic season for us. Good luck to him with the coaching, nice to have him back here
kick it off 2,062 Posted August 24, 2018 A storied career no doubt, but he will be best remembered for his time with us. An absolute talisman and far better player than he is given credit for (outside of Norfolk). Really should have played for England. Thrived on being the one that the opposition hated.Gave us some great memories that will never be forgotten. I don''t think anyone will ever forget his one man demolition of the scum in the 4-1 home win whilst sporting "that" moustache!!!Proper footballer, top bloke, Norwich legend.
