Big Vince 318 Posted January 3, 2017
Minimum of £10 mill and I think we should be happy with that. Wouldn''t have been in the summer but half a season of poor form is going to reduce the value somewhat.
That''s the difference between Chase and Delia in a nutshell.Chase would have sold in the summer for £15 million +Delia will dither around then sell for much less and so the club is out of pocket as a result. Chase would not have waited for the player to lose form because he doesn''t fancy the Championship. Chase had a much better feel for how football operates and would have circumvented that scenario for the financial benefit of the club.
Buh 0 Posted January 3, 2017 Do you think Delia is on the phone to Crystal Palace?
Creative Midfielder 1,996 Posted January 3, 2017 Yes that''s exactly the difference - Chase would have sold Brady, Klose and Naismith and bought nobody because he would be trying to fill the massive hole in our finances that he''d created.
Yellowbeagle 0 Posted January 3, 2017 If Gestede is worth 6 mill then Brady has to worth at least 10m.

Chase bought plenty of good players in his time and that was the reason the club was so successful on and off the pitch because when those players were sold on for profit it enabled the club to balance the books and improve the ground, buy land and develop the training ground at Colney. This was the formula that worked for 9 out of 10 years. Everyone knows what happened in the last year and the Delia apologists on this board like to keep repeating it to cover over her failings and deny Chase his proper place in history. SwindonCanary 455 Posted January 3, 2017 Chase did a lot of good things whilst in charge, but he''s always remembered for the end of his time here. Delia Beware !
kick it off 1,952 Posted January 3, 2017 Leicester allegedly interested in Brady and looking to offload Kapustka. If that interest is genuine then I''d be demanding Kapustka on loan for the rest of the season as part of the deal. Class player.
Tommo 51 Posted January 3, 2017 Worth looking at a cash plus Sako deal with PalCe. Impressive winger who can definitely perform at champ level and would give us a different option
Move Klose 303 Posted January 3, 2017 He has to be worth more than £7m. That''s what we paid for him with 12 months remaining on his contract. Even tho hes currently in the championship I would say his stock is higher now than when we signed him due to his performances in the euros. I dont remember there being much competition for us when signing him. Doubt we will take less than £10m.

It was actually the last two and a half years. And in that two and a half years Chase systematically destroyed what Watling and South had built. Mike Walker saw it coming and baled out at the end of 1993 but Chase carried on with his destruction throughout 1994, 1995 through to May 1996 by which time the club was in total disarray. That''s before we look at how he engineered the demise of Sir Arthur and the protests and that EGM in his first three seasons.
king canary 7,606 Posted January 3, 2017 @Tommo do we really need another winger?
shaunieboy77 73 Posted January 3, 2017 Was it not rumoured that Chase wanted to accept a £1m offer from Blackburn for Sutton and Fox?

Lessingham Canary 99 Posted January 3, 2017 Leicester supposedly interested again as well, should get £12m for him if 2 clubs are interested.

Where has all this Chase was wonderful nostalgia come from? Those too young to have been there or those not fans then?
Mr Angry 1,561 Posted January 3, 2017 Got it slightly wrong there Vinnie old boy, Chase would only have sold Brady once he had vowed that Brady would be leaving ''over my dead body''.
