Number 9 0 Posted November 8, 2016 CHEERY JIM.He is not the kind that Worries, for he ain''t a-built that way, He can always raise a gain upon the very longest day. Though the grub is miles behind us, and the waterbottles dry, Still he grins and tells a story, he''s a cheery kind of guy. When there''s work to do before us and we''re lying on the sand, You can see old Jim a-grinning fit to beat the band. When tne shells are thick and heavy you can see old Jimmy smile, And his gran it seems to reassure the lot of us the while. When the word is passed along the line to fix our bits o'' steel, And "Jacko" soon will realise the argument is real, Old Jimmy fairly cackles, like a hen upon a nest, And to his section-leader tells a crimson-headed jest. With the day''s performance over, and we''re trekking on our way, Back to camp and beef and biscuits, Jimmy''s heart is blithe and gay. Though "the track be long and dreary and the stars be hard to find, If the journey had no ending, still, old Jimmy" wouldn''t mind. And when old Jimmy leaves us for to grow a pair of wings,Or shovel coal—I''m not too sure about these blooming things— I''ll bet with Peter or with Nick he''ll have a little joke; He simply has to smile or bust, he''s just that kind of bloke,

Alan 0 Posted November 9, 2016 How many of that team look good enough for the first team.If they got the chance they would put in 100% effort to try and keep their place . Something which does not always seem the case with some 1st team players.
AJ 1,221 Posted November 9, 2016 Without personally having seen all the games, it is hard to tell whether they are ready for first team - you''ve got to remember not all these sides they are playing are putting out their respective first teams either.AN was there watching, presumably keeping an eye on his first teamers in Oliviera, Canos and Whitts. So all these other players have a chance if they keep performing and performing well to get more game time in the upcoming FA Cup ties etc. I doubt any youngsters aside of Godfrey are in touching distance yet though. Paul Spector 0 Posted November 9, 2016 Thought Godfrey stood out as the star man last night. Will do him the world of good playing with someone with such a wealth of experience as Michael Turner.Kilip also looked pretty decent in goal. Made a number of smart saves. Adams & Grant both looked tidy in CM. As did Ramsey at LB.Can''t say any of the more senior players did anything to make me think they''re better than what we have in the first team at the moment. Nelson did score two, but one was a penalty and the other a tap in. Morris took his goal excellently, but didn''t really offer anything else and missed a couple of other good chances. Yorkshire Canary 118 Posted November 9, 2016 I was one of the 1042. They played well with spirit flair and organisation in total contrast to the first team
