  1. Best goalkeeper never to be capped for England, a very loyal servant to NCFC and a nice chap off the field. Hope he has many more birthdays.
  2. Thinking about it, I agree Greavsy. Maybe make them do the gardening in just their football kit 🥶🥶🥶
  3. They should be fined the maximum amount allowed by law. Fined a months wages by their club which should be given to charity. Made to do xxx hours community service in a hospital or care home Fcuking ignorant (the rules don’t apply to us) morons.
  4. A big well done to everyone concerned 👍👍👍👏👏👏 Must admit I was hoping it was going to be news that Krul is fit for today 🤞🤞
  5. Nice to see 2 English players in the last 4 and all 4 players coming from the UK (reminds me of the Bristow, Lowe, Wilson, Rees days). After the players that went out in the early rounds I must admit I was expecting the Dutch to dominate. Lets hope for two good semi-finals and a great final.
  6. It still annoys me that a free kick is given for something that occurs outside the penalty area but when the same thing happens inside the box it’s not a foul. Even the commentators said the same thing last night. It’s either a foul or not and where it happens on the pitch is irrelevant. I didn’t think the ref was that bad last night but Sarr would have seen red with several other refs.
  7. This has been muted before but those in charge of referees won’t let it happen. We are all human and make mistakes and this includes refs and I for one would welcome them explaining certain decisions or admitting they made a mistake. However VAR was supposed to be used to rectify clear and obvious errors but is this really the case? It can award or rescind a penalty, turn a yellow card into a red or rescind a red card but how can the var referee decide when his fellow ref has made a clear and obvious error, surely it’s a matter of opinion. Technology is great in terms of, did the ball cross the goal line or is a player offside (if the set criteria is right and I don’t think it is yet) but for the rest surely it needs the on field ref to ask for the var ref to check something rather than the other way round, otherwise it’s a matter of the var ref potentially telling the on field ref he knows better than him.
  8. It does beg the question. Why did the authorities introduce VAR? Was it :- (a) They felt their referees (and assistants) weren’t up to scratch, or (b) They wanted to give them a bit of help. we all know what their official response would be but what is the real truth?
  9. Please don’t post any replies one this one. Thanks.
  10. Don’t know what happened but my post came up twice, sorry.
  11. Around the 70 minute mark. He had the ball, Emi tracked back (as he did well all game) in an attempt to tackle him. Olise jumped into the air screaming like he had been shot. When the slow motion reply was shown it was clear (well to me anyway) that Emi did NOT make contact with him. Looked to me like a clear case of trying to get an opposition player booked or sent off. Or do I need to go to Specsavers? Thoughts please.
  12. What about the goal saving tackle in the Sheffield Wed game. Possibly gained us 2 points. Swings and roundabouts me thinks.
  13. Left back needs to be the priority. Sorensen has done a good job (and I am not knocking him) but I feel opposition teams are starting to take advantage of the fact that we have a right footed, midfielder player there. In the last few games the majority of attacks and crosses seem to be coming from this area. Shame about Byram, because if fit he would be one of the best in the Championship.
  14. I think the fact that the Luton fans were spread around the ground made it a different atmosphere to what it would have been had they have all been in the same stand (if that is possible with social distancing at their ground). One thing it did do was influence that idiot (and that’s being very kind 😉) of a referee into making some shocking decisions.
  15. Good morning fellow NCFC fans. Great news this morning on the COVID vaccine 👍👍. However as it will be a while before we are all immunised could someone who has been through the process please tell me :- If you want to purchase tickets at the moment but have family and friends in your ‘ticket bubble’ who are NOT in your COVID bubble can you request that the tickets are socially distanced? Thank you in anticipation.
  16. Would be a good opportunity for our fringe/youngsters to play.......... oh wait a minute ..............
  17. Do you think that the loosening of “rules” over the 5 days of Xmas should go ahead considering what it could do in terms of new COVID cases and the likelihood of another ‘lockdown’ in January?
  18. You don’t have to put up with it and if you are a season ticket holder all home matches and non Saturday away games (most of them, anyway) are free. In response to Sky/BT pay per view games, I’m glad it’s being stopped, it was just pure greed.
  19. A real shame that someone gets this horrible disease for (potentially) earning a living doing something they enjoyed that brought enjoyment to others.
  20. Appreciate what you are saying Real Buh but why did it have to be sanctioned by the EFL then?
  21. According to the Canaries website this has been sanctioned by the EFL. 1. why did they decide to ask the govt for permission to do this? 2. who in the govt gave the permission? 3. surely the EFL didn’t just ask for permission for NCFC to do it? 4. with the new Tier 1, 2, 3 system coming in for the whole of England surely all the people involved in this ridiculous decision should be sacked?
  22. One for the oldies. Lets go for Steve Austin. Extremely quick, brilliant in the air and an excellent eye for goal. Would cost $6M. 😉😉
  23. Anyway, back to the original thread. Good luck Timm, a very good player until injuries got the better of him. I will always remember him acting as cheerleader from the sidelines when he was a substitute and his banter with the Snakepit was brilliant. Hope he stays fit and enjoys his football in future.
