1. Let it be on record I'' ve been happy with Adams being in charge from the start. I was pleased when the news broke (No inept morons like Sherwood/Zola yay!) He ticks every box except previous Championship experience and erm what experience did Lambert have? What did Rosler have before taking over Wigan etc? Just because he was possibly the cheapest option doesn''t mean he isn''t the best
2. I don''t remember one instance of Holt diving in the box to win a penalty, where did this popular myth come from? He went over easily, sure, but did we ever win a penalty from a Holt dive? Because I sure don''t remember one
3. Fu(k them! They know nothing about Adams or this club. They hailed QPR''s appointment of Redknapp as a master stroke , have been calling for Wengers head for years, thought Hughton was too good for us etc Who cares what they print?
4. I''m not happy because If Adams is good enough to be entrusted with one of the most important season in our history, why then wasn''t he good enough to take over from Hughton in December? I''m happy enough with his appointment now though, I''d have preferred Lennon, Malky has become less and less appealing to me as this has dragged on and I''d take Adams over crap like Zola, Sherwood, Warnock, Popovic etc every time. He''s a very, very good coach (apparently), knows the players, knows the club, has the right footballing philosophy, apparently has the backing of our most important players (Mick Dennis article/Martin interview) and will be desperate to succeed. I''m a bit worried for sure, because this could be a fatal mistake, but mostly I''m confident the board has made a clever decision
5. Had someone on the side and the C.E grassed him up? Is that what you meant?...would explain his divorce xD
6. Slightly more attacking. Which in his head was do everything the same except maybe stick another striker up front or give one winger a little bit of freedom. When i say more attacking i mean more attacking from ultra, ultra defensive. We did try to be a tiny bit more adventurous last year than the one before that but all it did was weaken our only half decent aspect, our defense. I reckon Allardyce would take a similar approach
7. If fans have to suffer bad football they should expect decent finishes in return. I fear for them next season, he might play more attacking football but in the same way Hughton did this year, still within the same rigid dogmatic framework. They''ll probably sacrifice a lot of defensive resolve for a few more goals and have a similar season to what we had this year. It should have been: Stay and get us in the top 10 or we''ll sack you and get a different manager who plays better football. They''re asking too much here
8. I just have a funny feeling Ricky would have weakly scuffed that straight at the keeper anyway. I don''t think our season hinged on that moment
9. Remember that gutted worried feeling you had when we kept Gunn on over the summer? Those poor WBA fans xD We''re possibly the most patient, placid set of fans in English football. I can''t imagine West Brom fans putting up with 30% possession each game, one shot on target if lucky, completely nonsensical ill suited signings and the most dour, depressing, rigid, predictable, ineffective football the English top flight has ever seen. I couldn''t care less about West Brom but I would honestly feel sorry for them!
10. I couldn''t, no matter what happened to us. I do know someone who changed from Newcastle to Chelsea in his mid teens. If you''re gonna change allegiances why on earth would you defect to probably the scummiest most unbearable club in world football? I''ve never understood that one!
11.
I can''t see him staying, I never thought he would since relegation was all but confirmed. He''s a decent lad but we''ll get some offers and if he continues to shine in games like this that only pushes the price up! Here''s hoping he bags a hat trick tonight :D
So a hat trick like I predicted! Sod Wiz and his pagan BS, the dark side reveals all.
12. I really don''t think it''s fair to label him as defensive! He came to Carrow road with a poor side and parked the bus because he knew that would almost guarantee a point with our woeful attack. Cardiff and Watfords default style was high pressing and direct, exactly like Lamberts was. Mackay is a tactically astute pragmatist, he won''t turn us into Swansea but a high energy game focused on getting the ball forward as quickly as possible is what I''ve always though ''the Norwich way'' to be
13. I can''t see him staying, I never thought he would since relegation was all but confirmed. He''s a decent lad but we''ll get some offers and if he continues to shine in games like this that only pushes the price up! Here''s hoping he bags a hat trick tonight :D
14.
Warnock, in my opinion, would have kept us up had we changed January.
I doubt it, he plays the same dour rubbish that Hughton does. We needed a change in style as much as a change in manager. I doubt replacing Hughton with angry Hughton would have made much difference
15. The board aren''t courting foreign ownership.....thank fu(k!!!!!!
16. I''d even take an FA cup win next year if it somehow meant that we wouldn''t get promoted for like the next 5 years. I am not a shareholder or director, football is about winning things! There are so many great things about this club but our honours list really isn''t one of them. Staying up last year I just felt relief that that horrible season was over. An FA cup win and I''d be celebrating and talking about it for years!
17. It''s one thing just telling an expensive and formally restricted Spurs side to just go out and play. It''s completely different to managing us on a game by game basis against the variety of challenges we''ll face in the Championship this year. He might talk well in the media but the guy is very much in the Harry Redknapp mould, sod tactics, just get some pace on the wings and tell players to play. It''s a recipe to get a squad to perform just about at their potential provided they''re all happy but we need someone with the nous to get us performing well above the sum of our parts consistently and someone who can out think and out manoeuvre the opposition. A pragmatist with proven experience of getting a team promoted is what we need, we need Mackay. He''s the best candidate to get us up at the first time of asking and poses very little risk. Also he is not a negative manager, Hughton was a negative manager who imposed a negative culture on the team, every game no matter what the opposition we sat back and attacked at a snails pace. Mackay comes up with game plans and sets the team up in the best way on a match by match basis. His default with Cardiff seemed to be a pressing game that focused on getting the ball forward as quickly as possible, much like us under.....Lambert ;)
18.
His decision to change Cardiff from blue to red was because of what those colours represent in Chinese culture.
Selfish, deluded w4nker. I''d despise him if I was a Cardiff fan. A colour change might seem trivial but he''s disrespecting their clubs history just because he feels like it. It''s not his club! I hope we never get taken over by one of those megalomaniac 4rseholes
19.
I''ve been a fan of his even before he came to norwich, but I think he lacks passion, I don''t fault his quality, just when we needed that extra he hasn''t delivered
This! and we''d have more chance of getting Lambert back than persuading Fer to stay in this league with us. He''d do well at an Everton or Newcastle where they can afford a few apathetic players but we need strong characters as much as anything else next year, he just wouldn''t be suited to the slog of a full Championship season
20.
Apologies for any ignorance, but what possible credentials has RM got for being a Director of Football?Wasn''t he just a youth coach for a while?
He oversaw the whole of the youth set up, I guess now he''d be promoted to over seeing all of teh first team set up so it makes sense. Considering the location of the club and that we''ve only very recently got a category 1 academy I''d say he''s done an outstanding job in his time in charge of the youth set up. They''ve produced a lot of top Championship level players
21. He''s head and shoulders above any of the other candidates if we couldn''t tempt Lennon or Rosler. He got Cardiff promoted with a poorer team than we currently have and was looking to just about keep them there despite the club making some horrible investments. I''m extremely happy with this especially after the rumors of Sherwood
22.
Would like to keep surman think he has a big part to play in championship. Little bit like Leon barnett, outstanding at that level but never really capable of making the step. As for fox, thanks for what you did in league 1 but bye. So much hype over a midfielder that occasionally pinged a decent ball in. Keeping hold of 3 from Howson Johnson tettey fer would be the main aim
That''s interesting you say we should keep hold of them. Personally I feel cm has been our weakest position since we came up and I''d be happy to see that back of all three of them. Tetty and Johnson are just ball winners and not much else, I like to think of them as roaming defenders, kind of the opposite of Hoolahan, there''s a reason we struggled to dictate play, get out of being pinned back and keep the ball because we lacked any presence in the center of the park. Fer is overrated simply by being much better than the other two. He could stand out at Championship level if he could sort his head out. He is one player the fans have had a right to call lazy, he has the ability to dominate teams and play some terrific balls but he seldom did and letting other players tackle and run past him while he stood still watching seems to be his favorite play. Plus he won''t stay, not a chance. Keep Fox as back up, offer him a one year contract as I think he could be useful at certain times and definitely keep Surman!
23. Phew! Anyone but Sherwood, Zola or Warnock! I''ve had my fill of mid table Championship mediocrity tyvm! We currently have a better team than the one Cardiff got promoted with and we have money to spend. Under Malky we will be guaranteed top 6 at the minimum so I''m happy enough if this turns out true. I did want Lennon though but it seems that was always unlikely
24. Looks like more a case of extreme bitterness and a lack of social development than any kind of mental handicap. I imagine he''s barely left his computer since he left school and spends all his time seething over Norwich or people in general...so I don''t feel bad for p1ssing myself laughing xD
25. Okay now I''m getting really worried it''s 442 get stuck in lads Sherwood :/ That would be possibly our worst management appointment ever. Please anyone but this self important, tactically clueless clown! I''m not religious but I''m now praying it''s Lennon
