1. Firstly, i also agree with Iwan that defensively Olsson isn''t anything special and would probably be better off keeping Taylor. Also, why is he a bad apple? I''ve never heard him do anything to upset the team, and being linked with moves away his hardly his fault. Maybe his agent is playing it up, but you can''t blame Olsson for it.
2. I think automatic promotion is still realistic for any club in the top 10. No club is breaking away from the rest, with all of the top clubs slipping up more than compared to previous seasons. I don''t think it will take as much as you''d think to get promoted
3.
I wonder if he pitches up at WBA now.
Good shout.
4. Maybe he couldn''t see himself having any kind of significant role at the club because of Neil bringing his own assistant from Hamilton. It would be a bit crazy to have an ex manager, two assistant managers and an actual manager all trying to run the team
5. What a complete shambles it has been behind the scenes this season. If this gamble on Neil doesn''t pay off, McNally is going to be in a pretty sticky situation
6. Brilliant news. I have no idea who their sub keeper is, but he can''t be anywhere near as good as him!
7. I have just realised that playing 12 players may be an issue... Oops
8. Ruddy Martin Turner Bassong Olsson O''Neil Redmond Tettey Johnson Lafferty Hooper Jerome I think Whittaker and Redmond on the same side is a recipe for disaster, just nowhere near enough defensive stability. And Lafferty also provides some defensive cover if Olsson goes bombing forward
9. just what ipswich need to recover from 2 defeats (fingers crossed) in a row......great
10. I think Olsson has been below par this season, so i think anything close to the £7m mark we should accept (as we have no need to sell, but a decent replacement in Garrido for Championship level).
11. I loved reading through the earlier comments trying to justify RVW in comparison to Bony. Those were the days....
12. It can be very hard to judge youth teams, as players are frequently moved about from one team to the next age up, so its nearly impossible to have a settled 11 every week. I''d be much more concerned if it was our U21s that were struggling that badly, but they''re doing well and have a number of promising players. Hopefully McGeehan will prove himself in League 2 with Cambridge
13. As said above, i don''t certain Hughton or Adams could be described as ''disasters''. But every new manager is a dent to McNallys reputation. Hopefully this will be the one that puts things right
14. He did alright, but not great. If we''re willing to accept being a lower mid-table championship club, then Gary Holt would be a brilliant appointment. We need better than him
15. Considering our game v Reading last week wasn''t deemed worthy of a stream, it''s extremely unlikely the PNE game will have one. I''m sure a few of the Cup games will, but it''ll be pure luck if there is one for us
16. I hope he gets subbed in the second half, so he can get a true send off. I''m sure he''ll get a standing ovation
17. Also i don''t know if you take suggestions, but feel free to check out Leiston FC. They''re a small club in a tiny rural town and pushing for promotion to the Conference South!
18. In recent years I''ve become a big fan of non-league football, so i''ll definitely check it out.
19. well i wouldn''t exactly say he''s ''firing them to the Champions League'', he''s only scored 3 goals. But i see your point. it does seem a strange situation for a club to be struggling so badly in the 2nd division, and having one of their own players in the top tier abroad playing very well. I''d love to see him come back and play for us, but i''ve accepted for a long time now its never going to happen for him in a yellow shirt.
20. Me too. He should at least get the Wigan and Huddersfield games to let the phelan factor have some kind of effect. And even if that fails, then theres still plenty of time for a new manager to turn it around.
21. Other than the top 8 of the Prem, most teams are vulnerable to these highs and lows over the seasons. It looks like its our turn again to be a mid-table championship team for the next 5/6 years, in the hope we get a wonder-manager who can get us up.
22. I saw his name on FIFA last week and forgot he played for us! It does seem like we''ve spent a large amount of money on a player who is only going to have a bit-part role. Assuming the whole squad was fully fit, I can''t imagine he is suppose to be replacing Howson/Tettey/Wes/Johnson. But it''s too early to judge the fella, he could turn into the norfolk Yaya Toure. But he wasn''t even mentioned in the pre-match Youtube interview last week, which suggests he won''t be back any time soon
