Today's Games - Good Friday!
Orly replied to norfolkbroadslim's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I'll be glad to get out of the championship. The refs worry me more than Tim Krul doing keepy ups in the centre circle mid game. -
He'll be useful in the Prem for defensively-minded cameos when we're 1-0 up at the Etihad & Anfield with 3 minutes to go.
-
Hughton's approach makes a lot of sense. However, I don't watch or follow football or support Norwich for logical reasons. There's barely a shred of logic in any of the reasons I like football. So long as if/when we are promoted, we continue to try and play our own brand of football, rather than concentrating purely on negating the impact of the opponents, I honestly won't mind if we're relegated. I was gutted when Alex Neil went from his "up and at them" philosophy to his more cautious approach after that Newcastle loss.

How utterly poor was Tod Cantwell today

This thread is making me sad, so here's 'that' pic ture of Grant Holt to cheer everyone up and get everyone back on side: -
Hennessey that thick? Or a liar
Orly replied to keelansgrandad's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I always thought it was a bit ironically-authoritarian for him to be charged in the first place, with zero evidence of intent, other than a blurry photo with little to no context. He's doing exactly the same thing here, but I didn't see anyone accuse him of being Himmler then: -
I stand by my 2-pints-of-cider-fuelled accusation yesterday, he was a w@nker. Even the (very few) decisions he gave to us were wrong more than half the time. Worst refereeing performance I've seen live for over a decade. Plus, anyone who awards penalities in such an extravagant and self-important posing manner clearly has ego issues. Conference for you pls, ref. Don't drop your cards on the way down.

Steady on. I like Todd and will continue to give him a bit of leeway due to his age, but 'extremely effective' isn't really backed up with any of his stats. -
It was quiet in brief parts, but generally I thought the support was pretty decent, particularly considering what we were being served up for most of the game.

He didn't play particularly well, but Hernandez and Stiepermann were markedly worse, so not particularly fair to single Todd out in the context of that scrappy game. That said, I hope Farke takes Todd out for the next game, patience is one thing, delusion is another. -
*****Official Match Thread v Wigan*****
Orly replied to lappinitup's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Referee is absolute ****e. Pedantic when he's right and blind when he's wrong. Missed blatant handball in centre circle against wigan then suddenly he has slow mo replays on his brain olin out box. W#nker. -
I hope Wednesday are this cr@p against us.
-
I'll swear whenever I darn-diddily-a-tootin' like, and no c@#t will tell me otherwise. Sorry, I've had a beer, I should have censored the darn-diddily too.
-
Dean Ashton had the potential to be our best ever (ex) player, but in the end, he only played a smidge more games than Jens Berthel Askou, and currently has about the same relevance to Norwich as a football club. I do wish him well in general however, because I'm not (that much of) a #@!'.
-
Yeh, that sounds about right. I just vaguely remembering it happening.
-
He was supposed to be watching from the stands, but came down at half time and told Phelan to sling his hook, and went into the dugout for the second half to take over from the sidelines. Seems more a determination to win and innate competitiveness, more than 'ego' to me, but that's what happened.
-
MOM difficult call. Godfrey I think for me.
-
The Reading goalkeeper has the worst barnet I've seen in professional football this decade.
-
Get FKN in.
-
We were overdue being a bit ****e, and we have been - and even then, Reading scored from their one attack (ok, two attacks) and I guarantee that bloke isn't scoring from that cross 9 times out of 10 or he wouldn't be playing for Reading.
-
I'd get Vrancic on for Cantwell, and push McLean on the wing. Mind you I'd have done that to start off with. Obviously, Daniel Farke doesn't know what he's doing. Farke out. (heavy sarcasm).
-
Big call by Farke and big chance for Todd. Am a little surprised, but Farke clearly doesn't want to change the system.
-
Let's hope there's none of this tonight

Curse my excellent footballing knowledge. Just kidding, I just pick names off the teamsheet at random.

Considering his technical ability only, Bamford would fit in very well with our system - more so than when he joined us a couple of years ago. Cliche ALERT: Question marks over his attitude though. Cliche ALERT ALL CLEAR.
