  1. "You are addressing a completely different incident NWC" Indeed, that was when he had to change his shirt. IMO the club should discipline Snodgrass for that act, it was a much worse case of lack of sportsmanship than the "goal" Fer scored against Cardiff...
  2. For me, Redmond coming on made a big difference. Although Snodgrass scored with a great free kick, and defends with commitment, I''d rather see Redmond and Martin working the right side and Olsson and Pilkington on the left. Still, a very welcome 3 points.
  3. Two counter attacks from Villa then? …
  4. Yeah, imagine if we''d scored a penalty v Villa, and hadn''t hit the post v Cardiff...
  5. Well they must be doing a lot of passing between their center backs then … 60% possession for Cardiff...
  6. I may be wrong but I believe the rolling 1 year contract was Lambert''s idea …
  7. BS, Yes Lambert was always going to be a hard act to follow. But right from the start of CH''s tenure we turned from a attack minded, and never say die team, into a cautious, play it sideways and hope for a goal team. If you saw the Ajax friendly it was enough to make you weep. The team plays with no pace (Snodgrass being the example I have cited way too often), individuals come to the rescue every now and again, but there is never any confidence we are going to win…now that may be a case of unrealistic expectations, but you all know what I mean; some teams just exude confidence and determination, this one does not. So what to do? Well the first and most important thing is to instill confidence and aggression. I really hope that Redmond is fit for West Ham, and we can start to put some decent service into the box for the forwards. (personally I''d also dump that stupid pajama''s kit and go back to the classic v collar design we wore our first season, we''d at least look like a proper football team… rather than the clown at a birthday party) A new approach and crowd behind the team and we can still rescue this season. If the manager does not go, then Trollope should. Whether that is fair or not fair, there needs to be a scapegoat to help lance the poison that''s currently running through the veins of this club. 8. Look on the bright side. At least 2 own goals, butter fingered keeper, 1 clearly offside… all of that couldn''t happen again could it …
  9. "Can''t see us getting a point now" Indeed running out of time. Shame thought we had them worried for a bit there….
  10. So we''ve lost Snoddy who has no pace but (sometimes) can pass, and we''ve lost Redmond who has stacks of pace. Time for Hoolahan to play the Snodgrass role or one of the Murphy twins? Or do we change formation ?
  11. Let''s just see how Saturday goes shall we?
  12. "Instead of this nonsense we should be concerned about a deepening injury crisis and what looks like something quite serious for Snoddy" Agreed. As the saying goes, be careful what you wish for. In my case I have argued for Snodgrass to be replaced by Redmond and tonight''s unfortunate injuries may mean we have neither of them for some time. Wish Snoddy the very best outcome and both of them a quick recovery.... who''s up next for that right wing spot, or do we change our formation?
  13. I meant to say ...but it would also be churlish not to recognize that our performances have improved recently :-)
  14. "We had 31 shots. More than anyone else in the PL. And we didn''t score. That''s stupid. Some of it was plain bad luck sure, but some of it was down to slow build up and inevitable blocked/easy save/impossible chances because Cardiff had so much time to organise their defence" Agreed. This is what we need to work on IMO - the pace of the attack. At the moment we are so slow that the defence can organize and crowd us out of a clear shooting or heading chance. My proposed solution is to drop Snodgrass for Redmond, but it would also be churlish not to recognize that our performances have not improved recently.
  15. Send out the team that finished the game v Watford, except put Ruddy in goal...and go for the juggler. Their defense was all over the shop at the weekend we should test that with pace on both wings.
  16. " When teams like Southampton and Swansea who have spent nothing compared to us" Go check your facts son ... a very poor troll post.
  17. Much, but we''d be so much more so if Snodgrass either picked up his game a notch or two or was swapped for Redmond or Bennett(when fit)/ Otherwise we are still below painfully slow to develop our attacks and especially counter attacks - can you imagine us scoring like Sunderland did today?
  18. The original post is one of the worst trolls we had in a long time...
  19. (At the moment) the guy is absolutely pants. Yes you can double up on him because he doesn''t have the pace to run past you on the outside, so you just have to block an inside run or cross. One time he did get outside the fullback the cross was straight into the keeper''s hands... all Marshal had to do was stand straight up and catch the ball - thanks very much! Most of our shots were from a long way out, yes we had at least two goal mouth scrambles, hit the post etc and yes we should have won 3 -1 or so anyway, but it''s pretty obvious we have no fluidity, and without wanting to pick on him, he''s the prime culprit.
  20. It''s too late already, this season smells of relegation with a whimper. On reflection it was probably obvious we were going to get relegated when they launched that poxy pyjamas kit, and it''s obvious we''ll never score with Snodgrass on the wing because he''s the best defender on the pitch for the other team. One more loss and scoreless draw to West Ham and Crystal Palace and that''ll be it...
  21. Snoddy just has to be dropped. Yes we had lots of possession but (It seemed like every time) Snoddy touches the ball the pace of our attack drops to zero. Also today his close control was horrible, and so very few passes could be run on to. IMO drop him and put Redmond on the right wing and maybe, just maybe the attack will start to click as RvW, Fer, Howson, Pilkington, Martin and Olsson all seem to know what to do..
  22. " Agree that RVW could have come on earlier and before Elmander but the right subs were made. Snoddy may give the ball away but at least he''s actively involved in the game unlike Pilks." Snoddy just has to be dropped. Yes we had lots of possession but (It seemed like every time) Snoddy touches the ball and the pace of our attack drops to zero. Also today his close control was horrible, and so very few passes could be run on to. 23. Palace going to have to go for it to get anything out of this game now...
  24. "Malky''s not an idiot like Hughton, he''ll go for it" Umm, we did go for it - what''s debatable is the two substitutions used to try and achieve that. Redmond for Pilkington (not Snodgrass) and Hoolahan for Tettey. The first IMO left the out of form winger on the pitch and upset what was working well on the left, the second IMO pushed Howson back to a more defensive and much less effective position. Unless the two changes were driven by injuries - which is possible - IMO they were wrong; we needed Redmond''s pace and enthusiasm on the right to compliment the existing threat on the left, and Tettey was providing great cover at the back. I would have swapped Redmond for Snodgrass and Johnson for Tettey, and maybe gone three at the back and added Becchio into the mix. But then again I''m not the manager :-)
