  1. In fairness, international break or not, this forum LOVES to bicker, disagree, pick an argument or whatever. I am just glad I am one of the more optimistic supporters :D
  2. Reall tough but I would agree with teh Ruddy, Pilks and Tierney scenario! Ruddy on the whole has been solid as a rock this season as has Tierney and Pilks is developing into one of our most influential players.
  3. When was at training ground Friday before Blackburn game I only saw Whitbread, and even he was not yet training with the team.
  4. Aw thats really nice - I noticed at the final whistle some of their fans turned to us an applauded. Thought that was a nice touch too.
  5. Just my thought on it.. Absolutely pointless thing to do. As their is a risk of being banned surely these people arent big enough fans to dare take the risk?! I would be absolutely devastated if I was banned from even 1 match let alone more... is it really worth the risk? Plus the fact its doesnt bring anything extra apart from impaired vision of the pitch!!
  6. I can see the point of it - however they let me take in my threatening carton of tropical juice!! I am sure if I chucked that at someone it would bloomin'' hurt... possibly more than a bottle if the corner hit first!
  7. I was also in the upper tier and I also thought the same as you canarycol - the space behind the stands was tiny. Popped out for the toilet at half time and nearly got crushed!! Makes me laugh about some health and safety regs and that somehow managed to pass?! The tannoy was pretty useless - people had to ''shhhh'' before the minutes silence as some people were unaware of it about to happen as they couldnt hear the tannoy!
  8. I forgot to mention... I thought Lawrenson looked great with the Movember look :P Lol made me chuckle.
  9. Yes I agree - I assumed it was to do with the head cos he was down for a fair while and he doesnt strike me to be the sort of player to roll around on the floor predenting to be half dead! (Not that he was rolling on the floor, he was lying worryingly still!)
  10. I was up in the upper tier also to the left of the dreaded smoke bomb. Personally I thought it was a stupid thing to do, so if you are the culprit - dont bother next time!
  11. I am glad they dont say too much - it seems that while we were out down our perfomances were better however since the pundits seem to have started praising us our performances have slipped. Probably just a coincidence but I am happy to be seen as a push over to the oppossition - that is exactly what we want!
  12. I am not sure how far Ward, Whitbread and Ayala are away? I think Whitbread will be a great asset when he is back. Ward will also be but strikes me to get more nervous than perhaps the others? I cant really comment on Ayala - only saw him after that screamer against MK Dons but every one was pretty dire that day... I am sure PL knows where he needs strengthening and he has already said he has his eye on some people. I am pretty sure Barnett would have learnt pretty quick after that game yesterday. Its a shame because in some games this season he has been superb.
  13. I am not the manager and would not like to be in his predicament. However I though Holt did very well yesterday. Obviously Morison scored but the way I saw it, Holt brough more to the game yesterday (I am not saying Holt is better, I am just basing it on how I saw it yesterday so please dont shoot me down!). Yes we lost yesterday, and greatly due to some defensive errors (I cant help but think the game may have been different if Barney didnt scuff the backpass!). I dont think we can judge the 442 formation on just one game. I know Fox was dropped but I didnt think he was very effective when he came on.
  14. Hiya I was at the game yesterday and wondered why Johnson went off? Was it due to the bang on the head he got earlier in the game or another injury? Or was it tactical - thought it was quite early to make a tactical change though?
  15. I am too just back from Villa. The alst away game I was at was Wigan and I must say I forgot how much noise we can make! I would be embarrassed had I have been a Villa supporter. Ok so they might not be selling their allocation but if we werent there it would have been like sitting in a library as our fans faithfully were happy to point out... "Is this a library?!"
  16. Personally I think ours is the best (not biased at all ;) lol) as its simple and eye catching.
  17. Hiya everyone, I am now ready to leave for Carrow Road to get the coach. Just wanted to wish everyone a safe journey. For those at home, enjoy watching at the pub or on the radio :) Lets hope for a point or 3! Onwards and Upwards OTBC!
  18. Time to change those stats a bit then! So lets start today! Onwards and Upwards OTBC!
  19. This is just the sort of comments we want to read. Villa fans clearly expect a win. Hopefully the longer Norwich can go without conceeding a goal the more rattled and anxious the villa fans will become. And with the Norwich faithful and the team spirit of the lads who knows :)
  20. Thanks for posting that. A very interesting watch indeed.Just shows he was clearly born with massive amounts of passion that he uses to influence others. There is only one Paul Lambert!
  21. All I can say is I bet Villa are delighted we have bothered to turn up if they can actually get full price for the ticket and sell the allocation! Bet they are a bit peeved they cant get this support from their own fans tho... Makes me really proud to be yellow!! Onwards and Upwards!! OTBC!
  22. I like it! I am quite looking forward to the evening entertainment on the way home by seeing all of the fireworks! Now I have said that I probably wont see many!
  23. I much prefer these positive threads! After a crappy week its good to read!
