  1. I think the myth that this squad is premier league standard has been fully laid to rest. They''ve proved these past few months that they are barely Championship standard. I can''t imagine for one minute that Brighton, Newcastle and whoever else gets promoted, will be sniffing around Carrow Road to strengthen their squads ahead of next season. Maybe the Murphys at a stretch, but plenty of work to be done on their inconsistencies. I would say on paper, with the last two seasons on their cv, this squad is looking threadbare, gutless, and grossly over-rated, with players earning sums of money far in excess of their ability and contribution on the field of play. In fact half the squad (too many to mention) have been a complete joke this season and would have been better used inside a cracker this Christmas gone......
  2. This squad of players are nowhere near good enough to play a formation with one up front and two marauding full-backs - a formation destined to fail when your one forward is not free-scoring and your fullbacks can''t defend for toffee. Here''s hoping the new manager has a plan ''B'', ''C'' and ''D'', and manages to bring players to the club that will show far more bottle than the current motley crew.
  3. Exactly the performance and result that was needed in front of Webber......wouldn''t want the wool pulled over his eyes two weeks running....
  4. Liking the cut of Webber''s jib already. Norwich''s recruitment policy over recent years has been shambolic. This bodes well for the dross to be identified and extracted from the first team squad without any sentiment.
  5. To say that Ruddy ( 8 goals conceded with 8 shots) is better than McGovern, although true, is saying very little. Norwich''s tradition of great keepers - Nethercott, Keelan, Woods and Green, to name a few, has been sullied by these two clowns this season, and neither should be considered suitable moving forward. How are clubs like Burnley, Sunderland and Hull able to recruit the likes of Heaton, Pickford and Jakupovic, when all we seem to obtain are keepers unfit for purpose? We need to build from the back. Retain Pinto and start again from scratch.
  6. That was a slick move. Wildschut finally showing something.
  7. Should Bennett be playing with lead in his boots?
  8. Throw him in the deep end and play him in goal on Wednesday night..... Nothing wrong with him getting ''on the job'' experience of just how carp our defenders are, and how quickly they need replacing....
  9. For a team that has shown so little fight and bottle this season, six red cards is a commendable achievement. Is it possible that we top the '' red card '' league?
  10. How the hell have we managed to accumulate so many useless tools that masquerade as footballers? You''d be hard pushed to get a return on this squad at a local car boot sale....
  11. Have we gone a goal down and ended up winning a game this season? I suspect not.....so looks like we''re now playing for a solitary point.
  12. This would be as big a gamble as the appointment of Alex Neil. Really not the time or the place for another inexperienced manager.
  13. Watching Gillette Soccer Saturday and a damning appraisal of Karanka by the ''pundits''......... Played just one up front.....substitutes just like for like......blame pretty much squarely on the players......for Katanga, read Neil. Neither manager or set of players PL quality.
  14. Options dwindling by the hour...... .....I guess that''s the price you pay when you take the time to scour Europe for your main man.....whilst others just rush in....
  15. Derby fans seem to think that the blame lays squarely with the players rather than McClaren. Our under-performing, over-paid, underwhelming, overrated bunch of losers (unless they''re in the cosy confines of Carrow Road) seem to have got off rather lightly.
  16. " no leaders or characters in the dressing-room", bemoaned McClaren about his Derby County squad..... Thankfully, he won''t be applying for the Norwich job, then......unless he wants to walk into an identical environment.
  17. The timing very much suggests to me that AN''s sacking was triggered by his ramblings at his press conference. He was yet again emphasising his closeness to DS and MWJ, and thereby trying to cement his position. There was one sure fire way for them to respond.
  18. The timing speaks volumes for the level of incompetence running through the boardroom.
  19. '' The gut'' hits nail on the head. Nothing wrong with Greavsy in my book - just defends his corner when he feels the need......something he shouldn''t have to do. Especially now this message board has been disinfected.
  20. Prior to this game, last eight shots on target resulted in eight goals?!?! No wonder Ruddy was dropped for tonight''s game.....
