McCallum contract update
KeiranShikari replied to city4eva's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Not sure Drury would do too well in Wagner's system. Think I only saw him cross the halfway line about 5 times. -
Didn't realise Owen Coyle was managing out in India. Wonder what we will consider the main benefits will be from this link up. I'm guessing it might be slightly more corporate than the more all encompassing Coratiba link up. If it was more about sharing scouting knowledge you'd think we'd be looking in East Asia or North Africa, less so the Indian Subcontinent.

Not sure about that, the players and entire structure of the team have changed significantly. Aarons, Skipp, Hanley and Krul were the main defensive players in the Covid season. I'd also suggest that Buendia offered a lot to that team defensively too. Of the same set of players Hanley has obviously only played 8 games. Giannoulis only played 16 in that season. Gibson has also already played 31 times this season whilst he only played 26 in the previous Farke promotion. Even if he was only used from the bench we also had Tettey that season, a second defensive minded midfielder whilst this season we have none.

Cov lead… and other games

Considering we were battered and the scum got a last minute winner that's a pretty decent day of football. -
We've conceded 28 in our last 25 and 6 of those have been in 2 particularly bad matches, one with 10 men for an hour. I'd suggest that a vast majority of the league wouldn't mind a record like that. Whilst Gunn is absolutely earning his money I don't think we've conceded a crazy amount of big chances during that run either. They're clearly doing something right.

Going to Chelsea games iirc.

The Ipswich run in
KeiranShikari replied to dylanisabaddog's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I do. I've been reading through some of his posts you'll get better football conversation from the scum on a garden pond. Come on Connor, I've seen you banning people for less. -
The Ipswich run in

14 years, 11 months, 12 days and counting. -
Pretty much my thoughts exactly. Even if Giannoulis was open to a new deal I could see Knapper choosing against it in order to lower the squad's average age. McCallum is indeed an interesting one and I think you're right, I can't see him signing unless he's the starter and honestly I'm not sure the club will see him as that. At this point I'd say the most likely outcome is both go and 1 or 2 come in depending on how Montoia does over the summer.

Schadenfrude and the fact that seeing a player take out 2 of his own teammates is a novelty that would have caught people off guard. A majority of people seeing it in the moment would have found it funny before quickly switching to a more empathetic mindset when one or both of them stays down. Human brain innit.

Ipswich and then West Brom. -
Nunez scores

I really like the player Nunez is becoming. Seems to have added more energy and bite to his game over the last few months. -
If Nike Did Hot Cross Buns.
KeiranShikari replied to TIL 1010's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
People complained about that one too. Think I read that Nike had considered doing a rainbow St. Georges before settling on what they did. I think that signals enough intent. I think people are getting fatigued with all the preaching. Let alone from a corporation that don't exactly put human rights at the top of their priority on their production lines. -

Exacerbating it, sure. I still think the designers at Nike knew what they were doing though. Probably just playful though. -

That's just not true though, plenty of people complained about the 2012 Olympic kits. Not enough red and all that. It certainly feels different to me though. The 2012 kits felt 'artsy' whilst the change to the St. George's Cross on the current shirt seems like straight up culture war bait. -
New England kit
KeiranShikari replied to cambridgeshire canary's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Yeah, that's pretty decent. I really enjoy the texturing on the white (if you'd call it that, I'm not a fashion). Collar is a bit weird but overall it's one of the best ones in my memory banks. -
He gives me bloke down the pub vibes, which I enjoy.

That's what they want us to think.
