1. Sky are televising two games on the final Sunday, which to my knowledge have not been chosen yet, so maybe the Charlton game will be on live depending on how the league stands. Most likely the scramble for a play off spot will take preference though.
2. Lets remember there are more ''older'' people alive now than say under 35s. So by definition more older football fans who will remember the likes of Peters and his career. So it depends who you are talking to, not the small sample of people on this board who I suspect are under 35.
3. Martin O''Neil is pretty famous, but it''s got to be Peters for me. Sutton for home grown.
4. If I remember correctly one of the penalties was really soft, with the Arsenal forward backing onto the Norwich defender and getting the decision.
5. When I lived in the Lowestoft area I knew several people who had season tickets for both Norwich and Ipswich. Though some of them were just general football fans some of them said they supported both teams equally! This maybe an extreme example but I wonder if this still goes on. I admit to having a soft spot for Peterborough ( my birthplace) but always hope Norwich thrash them when they meet.
6. He''s tall, he''s lean, he''s a freaky goal machine Peter Crouch, Peter Crouch. Paul Mc Veigh''s song was good and does the hiss from the snakepit count?
7. Keelan mills sullivan Bruce Watson Huckerby O''Neil Paddon Peters Sutton McDougal
8. He''s tall, he''s lean he''s a freaky goal machine - Peter crouch, Peter Crouch
9. I thought I had read that they had changed the ruling on this. Must have dreamed it. Or its another ruling that the refs ignore like the 6 second limit on the ''keeper holding the ball.
10. Well we all make mistakes, I thought we went 1-0 up in that game!
11. Huckerby is a city legend, I would also add M. O''Neil , Terry Alcock ,Townsend, Boyer, Peters and Sutton to those already mentioned as my city  heroes.
12.
Please tell me Lawrenson won''t be making any comments on us that night, however the result goes he''s sure to slate us, infact he''s only second to Smudger in terms of criticism of our club. Andy Townsend as well...Ex player yet never hear him pay us any compliments...Infact he never even makes comments about us!. N0n(e.
Alex, Townsend did a feature on City v Cardiff for ITV and was very complimentary about the club and said he had a great time as a player here. I must say I was suprised as I had heard he was very offhand about the club previously.
13. I remember being really annoyed that Jim Bone was transfered just before the final. We might have had a chance with him in the side, we were pretty toothless on the day. On a side note, does anyone remember the sun 3d football cards? Jim Bone''s is possibly the rarest and rarely surfaces even on ebay.
14. Sad news, a great player it was a thrill to see him in a Norwich shirt V West .Ham  in 1976. Unlucky to be at his peak during the Ramsey era otherwise would have surely won many more caps for England.
15. Putney, Allen, Rosario, Phelan and Linighan
16. If we are still keen on signing a young striker from the lower leagues why not go for Danny Crow of Peterborough he is averaging around a goal every other game he starts. Surely one for the future.
17. The lower leagues have had plenty of teams in them that were ''too good'' or ''too big'' to go down. Personally I dont''  think it will happen but no-one should be too complacent. If things do not improve after say, three or four games maybe something should be done.
18. Theres a copy for sale on ebay, auction ends in about two hours.
19. Combinations of results that keep up : WBA  8 Palace  14 Saints  16 Norwich  37!  Thats why the bookies have made us favourites.
20. Southamton are appealing against the Crouch sending off, looked clear cut to me. I suppose they have nothing to lose.
21. 1984 I think, Spurs in the FA cup was 26,000 plus.
22. A Martin O''Neil solo effort at Spurs in 1981 sticks in my memory, anyone else remember it?
23. Martin Peters could do everything Crook could and then some more. Andy Townesend was pretty good as well.
