1. Johnson''s contract has not expired yet and Ken Bates is being a tit by not letting the move happen earlier. THAT is why we don''t have Johnson yet despite having brought in free transfers before their contracts have expired
2. "If he does come it means one of Lansbury and Pacheco will definitely not be able to come on loan." Is there some sort of loan limit I''m not aware of?
3. Well done everyone, another thread descending into bickering. This makes GREAT reading. I love reading about whose opinion is better. Really, I do. End of sarcasm.
4. I seem to remember that Lambert said at the start of the last January transfer window he had targetted three players who would ''be massive'' for the club. Given that we have learned Lambert was in for Vaughan (on loan) and Morison in January, who do you think the three were that he had in mind? I''m going for: 1. Tierney 2. Bennett 3. Morison Obviously we only got 1 of those three at the time, meaning we probably settled for Wilbraham and renewing Lansbury''s loan. What do people think?
5. I''d keep Holt, Martin, Vaughan, Jackson and Morison available for first team selection, send Cody out on a half season loan to a lower championship team with a 24 hour recall provision in the contract and offload all others as they realistically aren''t useful to us even in the Championship. As for everyone who thinks Martin''s time is up, I think Lambert will stand by him as he did Jackson. Martin has suffered a dip in form followed by a lengthy absence through injury. This doesn''t mean he is now not good enough for us
6. Ok, that video has got me excited. He shows a variety of important skills - pace, deft touch, good head, powerful and accurate. Can''t wait to see him turn out in yellow
7. I''d love to see CMS join. He oozes everything that Lambert looks for - hungry, not a Billy big name.
8.

Jesus wept mate, thats hair splitting, give him a break eh?
No it isn''t, one is simple-past, the other is present-continuous.;-)
Yeh, my point was that never want to leave and never wanted to leave are two very different statements - the former commits to the future, the latter is only a statement about the past. Anyway. Whatever. A great day for NCFC
9. As much as I would love to hear him say he never wants to leave, I think you''ll find he said he never wantED to leave
10. I wouldn''t mind if we got him in. To say he isn''t hungry enough I think is rubbish - he''ll be desperate to add to his one cap for England and clearly has the talent to realise this ambition.
11. Grant Holt didn''t exactly impress last time he was in the Championship - now look at him. To suggest CMS isn''t worth bringing in because of his last season in the Championship is a little naive.
12. http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/news-and-comment/the-20-best-players-outside-the-premier-league-1234196.html?action=Gallery&ino=24 This was published in 2009. Interesting to see numbers 1 & 2 on that list and also who was the best player in the conference. Lower leagues = hotbeds of talent!
13. Just realised I''ve got a bit excited and carried away. Clearly I''m over the 10m budget
14. I was quite impressed with Middlesbrough yesterday. Their captain I thought played very well. He might be worth a look. In terms of right back, we should stick with Martin and bring someone in who is maybe getting towards the end of their career with a wise head, kind of how Drury is now Tierney''s back-up. Strikers: Graham, Nugent, Pacheco Midfield: McGugan, Bennett, Lansbury loan, Middlesbrough''s captain (I think he was called Thomson) Defence: Chambers, Carr (or someone in that ilk) Keeper: I''m happy with what we have
15. Whether or not things descend into chaos should not be taken into account when the decision is made. The FA/FL have an opportunity here to lay down the law and show what the sanctions are for breaching the rules. If QPR fall into the playoffs, that will not negatively displace any team already there. Other clubs wouldn''t have any real grounds to appeal. QPR have been in this league all season, and if it is decided that a fair league position for them is in the playoffs then so be it. If QPR don''t like what is dished out, they will want to appeal, and a week has been set aside for this to happen. That, I think, will be the extent of the chaos.
16. I''d bring in the following: Chambers and McGugan from Forest, Borini on a free from Chelsea, assuming Swansea don''t go up, Elliot Bennett and a right back as cover for the Norfolk Cafu. These are in addition to renewed loan deals for Lansbury and Pacheco
17. Can see why he might have thought we were nervous, taking the lead twice only to be pegged back by two softish goals and seconds away from drawing a match we needed to win.
18. Was there soundat the beamback? We were all singing for everyone at Carra!
19. I find it interesting to see what our rivals think of us as a team, club, bunch of fans etc. Not just Ipswich, other teams too. Sometimes they have interesting points to make and generally the points made on here about other forums are more interesting and informative than the countless threads on this board which just moan about the use of this message board. This is a boring thread and is an utterly pointless read for anyone who visits.
20. Let''s not beat ourselves up over this result. We lost to two brilliant goals, which on another day, wouldn''t go in. The third was just a result of us chasing a goal. We weren''t woeful. We showed some brilliant moves and pieces of mastery around the box. Their goalie made a couple of double saves that, again, on another day, would have gone in. Don''t get all pissy about this result and realise that Swansea are a good team. I think that a win apiece this season is fair. Listen to Lambert - stay positive. Second place is still ours
21. Can''t help but wonder whether the ''goalposts were moved'' after Dion got involved on telly on Monday. Just a thought that Posh may have literally been trying to make us pay for Dion''s interference in the deal.
22. I''m getting a bit tired of people qualifying what their booing means. Players don''t consider what the f*uck it is the fans are booing about - they don''t have time. They just know that booing creates a negative atmosphere. Fair enough if you''re booing a particular refereeing decision because it is obvious to everyone that the referee is being booed. However, against Preston, the boos at the end could have been interpreted as being against the team, the manger, the board. Don''t come on here afterwards and say like a told off child "well I was booing the ref". Grow up.
23. We have only lost twice in the league since the end of October. I haven''t looked into it myself, but if there is a team in the top four leagues who can match that, I''d like to know!
24. I''m pretty sure he went out on loan to an Italian club in the last window
25. Did anyone watch Kebe and think that maybe this is the kind of player we missed out on with Bennett? I thought he looked great, and if he happens to be nearing the end of his contract come the summer, might be a player we should go for, whether or not we get promoted. Perhaps he''d be too pricey though. I do think his success against us on Saturday was a result of Drury bombing forward and generally being more advanced throughout the game than he would have been had we played a system with a wider midfield.
