1. Reading all the crazy rumours does help the day to pass quicker though!
2. That story is confusing, was it 4 or 5m they rejected? Does not look like he is going anywhere, just hope Boro don''t come back sniffing around Wes.
3. Would be a blow to lose him as do not think we could get a replacement in, even on loan. There are always going to be stories like this around successful players at a successful club. Makes a change to be at the centre of such speculation!
4. No offence meant Brendonio, but that did tickle me!
5. Extactics - weren''t they something Roeder employed?
6. Lambert has said he does not want people at the wrong end of their career or teenage premiership hopefuls. Cannot see this one happening thankfully.
7. Good point Morty, think promotion is valued at £10m which sobers the £3m he was being touted for. There is little chance of him staying past the summer so hopefully his mind will be on the move and not Leeds.
8. He has withdrawn his request and is staying until the end of the season http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/l/leeds_united/8464263.stm Not sure if this is good for us or not, would rather they relied on one player than had the cash to buy in a few but he is a threat.
9. I thought the only decent players we had were OTJ and Hoolahan. Agreed the latter did not have the end product last night but he put the effort in, tracking back etc. I thought Spillane looked quite poor but he was still the best of our defence. Doc was a shambles and Gill non-existent. I was in the home end after losing a bet with a friend and have to say I thought our support was great, until we went 1-0 down and then it quietened down a lot!
10. I think TJ looked alright last night. He is such a physical presence that he gives you some solidity in the middle. However Gill was anonymous and needs to be replaced with hughes on sat,
11. This was the first game I have got to this season as have been out of the country and have to admit I was hoping a lot of what I had read on here was overexageration. Alas no, we were shocking! Doc looked atrocious, Gill was anonymous and most of the others did not look up to it either. Think Lambert has a job ahead of him,
12. I hope the team can have a similar mentality under Lambert. I doubt Southampton are writing off their promotion chances just yet and we are in a better position than them in the league...
13. Possible. Until it is mathmatically not so, I will keep blindly hoping!
14. He was still under contract in the summer and would still have needed compensation to take him on board. I doubt this will lead to the sale of hoolahan, unless the lad wants to go.
15. I think Maric needs to get a game as he scored a few in pre-season. Will be up to the new boss of course but cannot see him playing 3 up front in his first game.
16. I was saying last season that Cody has the potential to be used as a winger as has pace to burn and can cause some real hassle. But then do we really want two wingers who can''t cross?
17. I think there is a real lack of confidence in the squad. When we went 1-0 down last night you could see the heads drop and knew we were not in the game anymore. I think there are some big changes required and hope Lambert is given the backing by the board to come in and make them.
18. Is it just me or is our new CEO already starting to look a bit like Victor Meldrew?
19. I am with you on this, particularly as he had to uproot and travel halfway around the world to help out his old club. Think the word has been positive on his coaching so hope a role can be found for him, surely Culverhouse would not mind working with him.
20.

Surely we are due a dead mans bounce anyway tonight? I am having to stand in the away end due to a lost bet but hope I have cause to upset the home fans!
Lets hope you have plenty of chances to do so then! Will be thinking of you there every time wes core lol
I have told my Brentford mate who I am sitting with that whilst I am not allowed to wear my NCFC shirt I will be singing even if it is on my own.

22. I think the problem is that a huge part of management nowadays is pr. We all saw the impact that bringing in Keane had down the road. I am not saying he is a better manager than any of the three I mentioned before, but being a ''name'' he brings with him a certain gravitas that reinvigorates the club. I just hope whoever we appoint is backed by the board a bit better than Gunn.
