Bizarre to think it, but.....
Making Plans replied to lake district canary's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
In LDC's bizzare fantasy World we still have a chance of avoiding relegation from the PL. -
Even if it's not over what would be the point? If we got to the play-offs we would only embarrass ourselves more than we already have the last 2 seasons. Whatever happens, it really is time to realise that for this season at least, there is absolutely no hope. From top to bottom, we are a rabble.

And that, as they say, is the end of that. Please, no more positive, hopeful posts, we are crap. BTW, playing at home and we have only had 24% possession. We have hit rock bottom and I fear there will be worse to come next season. -
Worst Norwich squad since..
Making Plans replied to By Hook or Ian crook's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Crap squad + crap manager = perfect storm You have to change something and you can't get rid or replace a whole squad in mid season -
Dean Smith in talks with?

Wagner would suit them down to the ground Please -
There is no point in "making it", whatever that means. If "it" means Play-Offs or heaven forbid Promotion, then forget it. If we achieved either then we would only embarras ourselves more than we already have the last two seasons. Time to face facts. We have found our level as a slightly better than average mid table Champioship Club and our flirtations with the PL over the last few seasons, are unlikely to be repeated anytime soon. We are where we are because we have a few slightly better than average Championship players but as long as we continue to sell any player who is half decent for a profit, we will never have a good enough squad to be contenders to win the Champioship. We have recently been exampled as a Club that was not good enough for the PL but too good for the Championship. Now, we are not good enough to even be called serious contenders to win the Championship.

Just caught a bit of this programme this morning - it was on but I wasn't relly watching it. Some Australian actor on there says he wants to buy Norwich City. He mentioned something about a partnership with Stephen Fry. Didn't get his name but it will be on iPlayer later. It was towards the end of the program.

Making Plans replied to CANARYKING's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Assuming of course we get there. I have severe doubts that we're good enough -
Step up Torsten Lieberknecht...

After tonight's crap it will be a long while (as in "not this season") before we see 3rd.

Maybe we should try it

With this squad of Players, we will not win promotion this season no matter who the Manager is no matter how much money we spend in January no matter who the Owner is no matter if Webber is here or not The squad of players we have, both individually and collectively, are simply not good enough.

I think it was a lot louder then and not because there were nearly 18,000 more people than what you get now. I think back then nearly everybody would sing and make a noise almost continuously where as now a lot of the people who go only really bother when we score. I think being able to stand up had a lot to do with it. Standing definitely produces a better atmosphere With 44,000 in Carrow Road you were packed in pretty much like sardines. If you're tightly jammed in next to people, and they're all singing then, whoever you are, you tend to join in more.

I was, about 10 rows back in the South Stand just to the right of the half way line. I was 14 at the time, not very tall so couldn't actually see a lot.
