1.
Very interested to see if they stay on. would be a massive boost to the team. Just a thought but would they not have been on a similar one year rolling contract with lambert? in which case might they just let their contracts run out in a month or so then run to the midlands? Hoping not
A one year rolling contract means the contract always has a year in advance, it doesn''t run out, that''s the point of it.
2. Where did you find this? I doubt it. It''s a shame that Culverhouse isn''t staying instead of Calderwood who''s arrival may well seal Holt''s departure.
3.
Was it me, or did the person introducing chris hughton say " welcome..Norwich city''s first..erm..Norwich city''s new manager"?
How didn''t you recognise McNally?!
4. I''d much rather have Lambert, but that doesn''t mean I''m unhappy with Hughton''s appointment.
5. It''d be nice if he''d repeat this quote from a couple of weeks ago"Aston Villa is not my team. Norwich is" [;)]
6.
I do know, and it''s come from the Villa end Press conference at Villa tmrw at 1pm to unveil Lambert and no doubt discuss back room staff changes etc There''s another Norwich/Villa story about to break too Well, ex Villa as he''s just left but could be on his way East according to my source
Alex McLeish our new manager?
7. This is what he said in a Birmingham Mail article from a few months ago“I have a lot of time for Norwich,” he said.“They did brilliantly to get into the Premiership and I think they will be there for some time but I am good friends with Chris and the chance to come and work with him was too great. This is also a bigger club. Norwich have done superbly but, no disrespect to them, there is a ceiling to what they can achieve.“And after the clubs I have been at, like Rangers and Fulham, I have spent a lot of time in big cities. I like that.“Norwich is a quiet way of life and to come back to a big city was a big attraction.“The fans are more passionate – and the football more important.
8.

Karl Robinson
Why? Surely this is an unnecessary risk for a Premiership club?   He''s only managed a League One side for two seasons - to limited success!
I know it''s a big risk, but then what Premier League experience did Lambert have before this season? So Curbishley, someone who has been out of the game for 4 years isn''t a risk? The least risky, realistic approach in my opinion would be Hughton, who is another one that I''d be very happy with instead.
9. If the bookies knew anything he would be a lot less than 5/1 or 7/1, you wouldn''t be able to bet on him if they did.
10. I''m not sure about that but I don''t think Brendan would have gone to Villa or even Liverpool if he wasn''t their number one target, I wish that Lambert also decided that instead of going to a club where he was third choice.
11. If that was true then why did he talk a week ago about how much he loves it here, has a special relationship with the fans, how he''s never once said he wanted to leave, how he''s delighted to be at Norwich etc.
12.
Yes, his contract is a three year one. I still think financially at the time, us having him on a rolling one year deal was the best way to go, we just didn''t have the funds to give him a massive deal sadly
Yeah and if we did have the funds I still don''t think he''d have commited to it (even if he did stay here 3 years), especially if the so called ''If another Premier League club comes in for me, I can talk to them'' clause is true.
13. I saw this on the Sky Sports website and thought it summarised things quite well!
14. That''s what a rolling contract gets you unfortunately. I heard he''s signed a 3 year one at Villa?
15. Not only that, but Culverhouse knows our players well, would have planned player targets with Lambert that maybe Lambert won''t be going after now (bigger budget you''d assume), and it would be the smoothest, quickest transition to allow Norwich to get on with preparing for next season.
16. As much as I want them to I doubt they''ll stay, but you never know, maybe they''re settled in Norfolk and don''t want to leave just because Lambert does.
17. No. I''d ignore him but should we beat Villa I''d happily join in with any ''what''s the score'' chants.
18. We could really do with a player like Diame but I''d say they''re all out of our wage budget.
19. Looking at the candidates available to replace him, no. I trust McNally to find the best replacement available to us but I just don''t think we''ll find anyone anywhere nearly as good.
20. I''m not worried because I think he''ll stay and even if he can''t there''s nothing we can do about it.
21.
No one is signing anyone at the moment! Any half decent, self-respecting manager/chief exec/player/agent is either A) on holiday! or B) getting ready for the Euro''s! Oh and one other small factor, the Transfer Window doesn''t even open until July 1st!! Seasons not even been over a month, get a grip!
But we only have 3 days to make signings as nobody does business in June.
