I was under the impression that all referees were obliged to declare any allegiances to particular teams and, as such, were not allowed to officiate in matches involving these teams. Similarly, an Everton supporter, for example, would not be allowed to referee a Liverpool game.

I don''t know why anyone should be surprised with D''urso''s performance. Just as expected and he''s been like that for years. The speed with which the red card came out and the glee with which it was shown said it all. Turning down the most blatant penalty of the season was also par for the course. If a Bristol City player had punched the ball off the line, it still wouldn''t have been given. With D''urso, what you get is what you get - complete incompetence.

Andy D''urso has always been one of our most erratic officials and how he has ever got within a million miles of a Championship or Premiership game is anyone''s guess. Whilst his inability has always been generally recognised, an increasing number of people (I am not among them), have suggested that there is more to it than that, i.e. blatant bias towards certain teams and a lack of integrity.
Some players deserve it, some don''t. Fozzy is a terrible player with no quality. He''s obvious a good talker which is why he is captain. I would tell him to his face too. People who think he is a good player have no idea about football or what a central midfielder should be doing. Sometimes its like playing with 10 men. Cant pass, can''t tackle, doesnt score. 1 goal (so far) but he''s got a big mouth so he should get in the team????? + he''s Gunns bum buddy!
Yet another sheep for the "must have a scapegoat" bandwagon

I cant believe some people!

I''d like to have a moan about fans moaning about other fans moaning. Far too much moaning all round. -
The penalty "incident" in the Barnsley game summed it up. We have a designated penalty taker but Lupoli attempted to grab the ball so that he could take the penalty. To his credit, Clingan refused to go along with this. Result - penalty scored and Lupoli goes into a sulk. He also played a part in the fourth goal by Russell but was not inclined to join in the celebrations. Clearly, when we are looking to improve team spirit and commitment, this sort of attitude from an individual cannot be tolerated. It can be argued that he was never given a proper chance but has his attitude contributed to this situation? I guess only his former team-mates know the whole truth.

Bell will not be missed
Webbo118 replied to Yorkshire Canary's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Just an observation. We have seven threads on the sale of David Bell, all basically saying the same thing. Is this necessary? -
What is it with Norwich supporters? They always have to have a scapegoat - a player to moan at and criticise when things don''t go to plan. Last season it was Ginger Pele. This season it is Fozzy. Anyone in the frame yet for next season? Get off the bandwagon, stop acting like sheep and form your own opinions.

This is the most idiotic post i''ve seen yet and that''s saying a lot! -
I believe the annoying use of "of" instead of "have" started with abbreviations such as should''ve and could''ve which when pronounced quickly sound a bit like "should of " and "could of". With the use of text speak, it seems, unfortunately, to have made it more common. So please everyone, if nothing else, kick out OF and use HAVE.

We must have missed the trainee barrister''s brief tenure of an english dickshonehairy.

What happens in the summer ?
Webbo118 replied to norfolkchance1's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
To say that he will be given the job full-time, regardless of results, is clearly nonsense. If that was the case, why not give him a contract for 3 years plus now? He is on trial. If things go well for the rest of the season he gets a long-term contract. If they don''t, he doesn''t. Nothing could be more simple. -

As a general rule of thumb, I tend to ignore all rumours emanating from posters with over 2,900 posts.

If our 20,000 season ticket holders each stumped up £5,000, we could match Man City''s offer for Kaka.

Leadership is needed from the top
Webbo118 replied to The Voice of the Thorpe Area's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
It was all summed up by MWJ at the AGM when he asked if anyone had any ideas what they should do. It is frankly astonishing that the name of Nigel Worthington has even been mentioned - are memories that short? It is at times like this when true leaders come to the fore and show what they are worth. Our highly paid Chief Executive does not appear to be exactly covering himself in glory at the moment. Perhaps his mind is somewhere else! -
