1. I heard it was the Scum that have been linked with Lee Camp???? [:^)]
 2.
We''re signing no one imho, Hughton''s buying himself some time until the window shuts, then its ''we go with what we''ve got''...oh, and then. ..relegation!
I see that normal service has been resumed! [:D]
 3.
Luton Fan In Peace Coming to the game on the 26th, just wondering the best place to have a pre-match drink and something to eat etc. Also any chance of some more tickets please as looks like we have already sold out
Nice to have a sane and sensible Hatters fan on here!  Hope you enjoy your day out.  Coach and Horses food very good as is beer.  The Fat Cat and Canary also excellent and the ''burger van'' is there every game and does more than just burgers - not full blown meals though.
 4.
I don''t think Tettey is overrated. But the system as a whole is too negative against teams like Newcastle who we stand a chance of beating.
Don''t disagree with this.  Certainly don''t think Tettey is overrated.  In fact most of those around me yesterday couldn''t believe that he wasn''t given our MOTM accolade.
 5.
When City lost at West Brom (just) after an epic run of form I was concerned because the two Christmas home games were as tough as could have been thrown at us. As Bethnal pointed out elsewhere, the exertions of our players took its toll on them cumulatively and some were now picking up injuries and others could not reach the levels their quality required them to play at to be competitive. We have coped admirably with the loss of Ruddy although I am convinced it has cost us. Top that with losing Holt and replacing him with a not fully fit Moro, who eventually broke down. The loss of both meant we had no one to hold the ball up as our system requires. As a result, our players gave their all, lost narrowly to a Chelsea side in top form and came back big heartedly against Man City. Two games where our players gave everything and got nothing. In the meantime, a player who has been a results talisman, Steven Whittaker, suffered injury absence and BJ gets a suspension. We then face a West Ham side on New Year''s Day and get the dreaded early set-back from a seldom given decision which changes games from early in the piece as happened against Man City. This was a West Ham side shorn of strikers but who played a game less over the Christmas period. Due to the time of year our four losses came in a very short spell making the poor run harder to arrest. Like a low tide this period has exposed the small squad CH has had to work with in terms of quality. Our striker deficiency has been highlighted and I am convinced we lost out big time to a summer target. I am also convinced we have one of the weakest squads in the league to go with the loss of promotion momentum that carried us last season and three new sides this season. We are also trying to wing it a bit this season as we have a restricted budget. Pull it off and CH will have performed a miracle and be fully justified with his prosaic methods. Not so long ago supporters were getting carried away. Now, the disappointment sees an equally adverse change in attitude. What we should do is put Christmas in context and be glad for that points accumulating run which preceded it. While the Newcastle result felt like two points lost to some it didn''t to me. Had we been pulled back by a Newcastle equaliser, maybe. But this was an ugly battling draw with a depleted squad against a side in the same position. A loss would have hit us hard, a draw does not. We go to Anfield knowing we can defend in games but also knowing this fails when early goals against changes the dynamic inevitably in a terminal way. The Liverpool home game being the classic example. With any luck we will have a fit Holt to hold the ball up. So, a dose of reality and things are still okay provided we stay solid and chip out results, essentially, stop losing matches. Lets regroup and go again.
Totally agree with this.  Points in the bag have helped us in a difficult period.  Think that we can get going again and realistically avoid the dreaded drop.  Any better that that this season is a bonus.
 6.
Is Kevan Platt still at your dump?
Think he is and also possibly Leon Blackburn.
 7. Haha brilliant trolling thread as surely Delia is immortal.  You''ll be telling me that there''s no Father Christmas next  [:D]
 8. And I forgot to add, I fully expect that those who live in Luton will be scurrying back to the Beach Huts at Meccano Lane with their tails between their legs.
 9. I predict that Mungo will pop up in a minute asking the OP why he doesn''t support his local team!!!
 10. Blofield - 6 miles east of FCR.  Born in the Fine City but also lived in Harleston, Colchester, Salford and London.
 11.
Are you alright there?  Seeing as old David Bowie has come out of retirement, I reckoned I''d follow him.   Now I have two question about our majority shareholders that I reckon we ought to chew over for a bit and see if we can fathom what''s been going on.    1. How did they come about all those shares in the first place?   2. Do you reckon that our current majority shareholders have taken our lovely old club about as far as that''s possible to go without all that foreign money?  Or do you reckon we can still compete and achieve something special with what we have?   Let''s be having you, and all that.
Could you possible go back into retirement???????
 12.

Portsmouth .....
Impressive post!
Visually that is!

 14.
If you are writing/reading out a list of scores or putting the result at the head of a report then you would always read the home team first. So in your example Manchester United 1 Norwich City 4 would be correct. But if you are referring to a score within the main body of a report/article I think it is perfectly fine to say ''Norwich beat Manchester United 4-1''.
Totally agree but I totally refuse to follow this concept when filling Norwich scores in on my fixture list - don''t care whether we are home or away an ''F'' on our fixture list should always relate to goals scored by us and an ''A'' to goals against us.  I hate it when the PInk Un or other sites record our scores like for example Norwich winning away 4-3 at Swansea: Saturday December 8th   Swansea     Away  3-4 Does this annoy other people or just me????  I''m sure that''s only started happening in recent years???
 15.
According to BBC all fixtures except Oldham v Liverpool Sunday 16.00 on at 15.00 Saturday, therefore 2 games at least still to be advised for ITV Sat?Sun am likely to be potential giant killing.  ESPN Sunday 16.00 Liverpool live must have shares in the club, surprised to see our game v Liverpool Saturday after next not on ESPN after all might be Suarez hat trick. Hope City Luton on box couldn''t pay to watch Luton.
Obviously not on the box if its a 3pm kick off  [:^)]
 16.
A few questions... Does it only last for this season? If so,what month do they start to sell the shirts at a reduced price? How much usually is that price? Cheers for any help :-)
Was in the shop in Chapelfield last week and I think it is already in the sale....can''t remember how much though... £19 rings a bell.
 17.
http://www.canaries.co.uk/news/article/luton-fa-cup-585204.aspx   It''ll be announced when the tv games have been picked. If it''s picked for tv I guess it could even be a Monday evening...
Unlikely as we''re playing Spurs on the Tuesday night!
 18.
On the plus side for transport, it ws a spectacularly easy drive with tons of parking near the ground. Back in the Fine City by 6.45. Clear message is - don''t let the train take the strain.
Though I hate to admit it Mungo I went on ''Club Cabbage'' but got us there before 1pm and home just after 7.15pm (despite someone having to tell the driver the way out of Peterborough!!!) - plenty of drinking time before game and no hassle getting there or home!
 19.
We were only offered tickets in the seating area as the terrace had sold out! This was also the case with the guys who sit next to us at Carrow Road and some of my work colleagues. Having said that, despite wanting to stand , when purchasing the tickets we accepted that we may be required to sit. As stated earlier, it has almost become accepted practice that the away fans stand during the match. Whilst not officially wanting to condone such, little attempt , if any, is made by grounds staff to get people seated. Any success is quickly undone by a free kick, corner, attack or in the case of NCFC a chant of."stand up if you hate the s**m!" Maybe, more clubs should look into creating family areas for away fans with strict control over standing, abusive behaviour etc. and controls over entry, i.e must be over 65 or accompanied by a child! There is something like that down at that Suffolk club and I think it works well. This would give everyone the opportunity to enjoy the game in the way they wish.
Sorry but like others on here I found that the seats had sold out before the terrace tickets (not that I wanted to sit) - guy in front of me in the queue at Carrow Road at Midday on the Friday the tickets went on sale wanted 2 seat tickets but they''d sold out hours beforehand.  At that point still plenty of terrace tickets available.  Have to agree however that if you have bought a seat ticket when the option to stand is available then it is a conscious decision to sit.
 20.
Adrian Durham - talksport presenter and hater or Norwich
Aha - no wonder I couldn''t find him on Wiki - although he might easily be confused with South Wales child molester Adrian Durrant! Thanks for clearing that one up as I don''t listen to Talksport - I obviously understood the references to Alan Brazil! As for the Michael Turner song - very funny but wonder if he likes it!
 21. Can someone tell me who Adrian Durrant is? Great day - excellent atmosphere - antique toilets!!!
 22.
Hart''s performance was yet further confirmation IMO that it won''t be long until FF gets his chance in an England shirt !!! [:D]
As No. 2 to Ruddy of course!
 23.
Looks like Hoots first January target is CMS. Not sure about this!!!! Certainly no upgrade on Holt, not sure if he is an upgrade on anybody else except maybe Chrissy Martin.
....... and he looks a bit too much like Jimmy Bullard   [:D]
 24.

The land at the back of the UEA is simply not viable to the building of something such as a massive stadium. The land is mainly part of a nature reserve, and would go against motives to keep the area wildlife friendly and very much green. The rest of UEA land is largely being planned for the development of new Eco-Friendly accommodation. As for the sports side of things, I see no reason for UEA to ever affiliate with NCFC, because they are two franchises that could be of no benefit to each other both as a brand or financially. Finally, the major thing for this to never be possible is the traffic around the hospital. Match days would cause mayhem and with there only being one way into the hospital it would cause major disruption to already suffering ambulance services. Aside of this, public transport in the area is already struggling and/or limited. The area just isn''t designed to be able to take the additional heavy traffic that a stadium would bring. Also, apart from Bluewater, there is very little in the way of retail shops etc. that help the city''s economy like the current location of Carrow Road does.
This is the first time I''ve heard of a University referred to as a "franchise". We really do live in a different world. In regards to the actual idea, I don''t think it''s as stupid as many on here make it out to be. Sure, there are loads of issues with it, but what Tom is trying to do is think outside of the square as a way to fund stadium development. Norwich City would be stupid not to look at all options as to how to do this, no matter how left-field the ideas are. Personally, like most fans, I''d hate Norwich City playing in any other location other than Carrow Road. That doesn''t mean other options shouldn''t be explored and debated.
Moving from a city centre site to a ''greenfield'' location is totally unsustainable and totally contrary to long running (and existing) national and local planning policies......end of
