  2. Thanks CUSDP. Any inside news on other moves, in or out please?
  3. I agree with all the sentiments and would be gutted if we did sell. However, there are rumours his agent is/was working overtime to manufacture a move and Middlesbrough seem to be splashing the cash, he may have his head turned. I think our new board and Manager have shown their hand in wanting to keep him, but market forces may mean we have to sell, he may want to go. With that in mind, Gary McSheffrey is available at Birmingham and it may be that we could get £2.5-3m for Wes and buy Sheffs for £1m. As I said, not what I would want as a fan but we need to be realistic.
  4. Have to say Spain boy I agree with you. Leeds will attract a forward purely on their league placing, let alone ability to cut it next year in the Championship. I do however, believe this will also apply to us now we are in an automatic promotion slot and can only see the two clubs pulling away from the rest. Here''s a thought; If we beat Exeter tomorrow, win at Walsall, if it''s on and at Col U we will be 12 clear of them... I know they will have 3 in hand but you have to win them.......
  5. Exeter would only bring approx 200 to the game in normal conditions so it seems ridiculous if that reason is given. I think there are direct Flybe flights from Exeter to Norwich, perhaps an opportunity for them to make some money on Saturday morning, weather permitting.
  6. The games wasn''t regional in the 60''s, 70''s and 80''s........ All teams have always had to travel, leave more time, drive sensibly or walk........
  7. He just does not cut it as a presenter of anything to do with Norwich City. Tonight the conversation focusses on the Wolves selection policy and its merits. Mr Gudgeon comes out with the real winner,"Can you imagine Mike Walker not picking his beat team in that last game of the season at Liverpool in front of the Kop stand" Er, no, he left some three months before, numbnuts. It''s every bloody week, surely there must be somebody at Auntie Beeb who is also a norwich supporter, with a bit of knowledge on the club, it''s so embarrassing.
  8. Sorry, completely disagree. Our potential downfall thsi season could be our inability to beat teams around us. i.e Leeds, Charlton, ColU, MK Dons. It is vital in my eyes we win Saturday. If we were playing Wycombe may be I would be happier with a near full strength line up, but not tonight. As I said elsewhere, we should treat this as Man Utd, Arsenal treat the League Cup. Hopefully for one season. I do not want to put up with another season of these games, we deserve better.
  9. He has also just conducted Paul Lambert''s team talk......... If any more reasons were needed.
  10. Take a point against Huddersfield and win tonight? Are you mad? If Charlton win on Saturday we will then be 8 behind... We HAVE to get promoted this season at all costs, treat the JPT like Arsenal, Man Utd, Chelsea treat the League Cup. Nice to win, play some of the fringe players, blood some youth, but never at the sacrifice of league points. Cannot believe our club or supporters would think any other way. Have our expectations dropped that much?
  11. Cam, Any response, you seem awfully quiet after sending your provocative post.
  12. Weakened team, lose 3-1/3-0, win Saturday 2-0, with Holt, Askou back in team Job done.................
  13. My team; Steer Semmy dumic Nelson Wiggins Gill Hughes Adeyemi McVeigh McDonald Cureton
  14. Played several drinking games with messrs Newsome and Polston. Newsome could not hold his drink, threw up over his fried breakfast the next morning....
  15. When was Neil Emblen in the side against Man Utd?
  16. Premiership season, Chelsea at home, week after Delia''s half time entertainment. "We''ve got Abramovich, you''ve got a drunken bitch"
  17. Personally can''t stand the "We f**$$g love Grant Holt" song, not when you have a seven year old who idolises him. When he started to watch Norwich, Hucks was in his prime and he loved the chant, singing it all the time at home. This song is just neandathol, feed the horse is a much better option, in my opinion. Prepared to be abused for having an opinion different to others.......

  19. League rules allow Ipswich to sign a keeper on loan, still funny but they won''t be massively inconvenienced, unless no one wants to play for Keano that is.........
  20. On Sky Sports News, about 5.50pm last night. Simon Thomas, devout chirpy, delivering the "Just In" news that Richard Wright would be out of action for 4 months, leaving Town with no goalkeeper cover. Facial expression said it all... He was really struggling to hold the smile back, had one of those "Got to hold it in" faces. Absolute classic. About time we see some anti Ipswich presenters on national media, love Talk Sport but what an Ipswich love in. Anyway, classic moment and we luv ya Simon.
  21. Neil Adams was shoes, dont know why. Chippy Crook is because he looks like Chippy Minton in Trumpton/Camberwick Green. Butterworth was Spartacus, because of physique. Sutton was trigger.
  22. Forster Martin Doc Askou Dreary Russell Hughes Lappin Hoolahan Holt Martin Subs; Steer Semmy Nelson Smith Adeyemi McDonald McNamee
  23. Hope - 3-0, Holt x 2, Hughes. Think - 1-1 Holt.
