  1. could be,i must admit hareide had been missed by me,but  i always liked as a player.  and i would be very happy with him!!!!!!!!!!!
  2. i agree he is becoming a bit like shearer was at the toon!  and his comments dont help himself or the club.and just like shearer i think who ever is our next manager will have to sort huks out once and for all.  no player should be bigger then the club!
  3. out of all the ones in the running on the pink-un,(apart from bruce/jewel.  these two despite there lack of management in england. give me good vibes, between them they must know loads of players who would come to the c/ship. so unless duffy does remarkably well in the next 2 games.then you have to look at these 2 as good appointments.  lack of english league or not.at least they have managed clubs and done well!!!!!!!!
  4. if we appoint sammy lee, the club can have all my season tickets back!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and with every manager now coming out and saying they dont want the job, just who were the high profile candidates in the first place, also a BIG NO TO PETER RIED!!!!!!!!!!!! lets face it we are left with the club letting duffy/gunn having ago or littbaski crook!  and barring a 4-0 win this weekend its littbaski/crook for me!
  5. i have got a feelng it will be littbaski/crook. which is why we have heard nothing from the club. they will wait untill the weekend for littbaski/crook to fly over for an interview. and if all goes well than there appointment will be made nextweek! i would be happy with littbaski/crook!!!!!!!!
  6. i posted this a week ago, sullivan wants a new club, one that is closer to essex, and last year he raved about a great support despite having yet another poor season. when all brum were getting was 18,000  and he and bruce were getting lots of stick after there poor start to last season. so yes i belive if the club would sell to him. then this could happen. but i cant see delia selling to an outsider, and we need a manager asap. so probible not.
  7. me to wizz, he has a great record, oldham promotion-everton f.a cup-mancity promotion twice, and ipswich in the play-offs two years running and having to sell his best players at the end of each season.  for me its littbaski/crook or royle. jewal/bruce wont come, allen to much like grant. pullis unlikly to leave stoke. hoddle maybe?  so it leaves us with 3 options, littbaski/crook -royal or hoddle.  and i would support all of them!!!!!!!!!
  8. i would be happy to give littbaski/crook ago, i mean its a bit more exciteting than any previous appointment. and the two of them work well together, will know of loads of players around the globe who would come here. hopefully inspire the players here and with crook at his side the is the possibility crook taken over thr helm if littbaski moves on. yes it could be a risk but so is every appointment/signing in football.thats the nature of the game.  so out of all the names mentioned so far this is the one that stands out, bruce /jewal wont come so forget them, allen/pullis/royal,hoddle maybe. but are they better than littbaski/crook,is there list of players/contacts bigger than these two.NO.  so we could do alot worse. littbaski/crook a BIG YES!
  9. pulis would be a great choice, very much in the warnock mould. gets players playing for him, just ask chadders, rusty. as well as hendrie and co last year.who all came in on loan and so nearly got them in the play-offs. and i think this is his second stint at stoke, the first time i think he got them promoted to the championship, before being forced out by the icelandics who took controll.
  10.   the mope i think about it the more i want royle, great track record, good with players plays nice football, the last time he managed town against us they played us of the park!  jewal is unlikely will wait for the bolton job.  bruce would be nice, but we dont know whats he doing, and mad dog my original first choice is probibly a bit to much like grant. so its BIG JOE FOR ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. yes like that one mark, bring in royle as manager, and crook as coach!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  12. totaly agree, he has done well in all his jobs,oldham-promotion,everton f.a.cup,man city promotion , and somehow kept ipswich in the play-offs 2 years on the trot, and had to sell all there best players at the end of every season. and your right his teams do play good football. so i would be happy with big joe!!!!!!!!
  13. sorry jc.but you are wrong, lucky green trainers called it spot on.brown was behind curo/hucks lappin was centre, and we where crap!
  14. now dont get me wrong,as i like to moan about a sloppie pass as anyone else would. but why do so many on here hit the panic button and start posting such rubbish so early in the season. i have been to every game home and away this season, and yesturday was the best we have played all season, and apart from 2 bad mistakes in concentration we would have won,and played good attacking football. i know some posters on here cant always attend matches,so they reley on others to post to give them a acuate assement of events.and belive me you can not judge anyone in this league untill november(look at sunderland last year). SO WHILE I GET AS PEED OF AS THE REST OF YOU. lets support the team untill the time when they need to be judged. i for one still expect us to challange top 6 this year and grant has done a great job in clearing out the dead wood.and bringing in new players,so i say to you all.SUPPORT THE TEAM NOW! THATS WHAT SUPPORTERS ARE SUPPOSED TO DO!
  15. strange though it may be,but today was the best we have played all season, created lots of chances(pity we did not put them away)but at least we did create them. i have to say the 2 goals conceded were poor, and if you give goals away like that then there will only be one outcome. and its a shame because there were more goodthings then bad,but only the bad will be highlighted.  but we must stick together and i will still say that a top six place will be had this season.  rome was not built in a day,and nether will promotion.
  16. hi i have just got back, stayed overnight. and yes we were lucky, but its nice to be lucky for once.and just look how many other clubs came unstuck last night. i thought brellier had his best game yet,and came close to scoring two wonder goals, hucks was brill and lappin /russell worked there socks off. marshall kept us in the game(and won it). in the first half we looked poor, but grant changed that at halftime.switching russel back to centre mid and lappin at left back, with chadders playing central.and then we looked qaulity and had them pinned back.only in extra time did rochdale find a second wind and give it a real go. so lucky yes.but happy we won a shoot out,and a keeper who saves pens!
  17. its a good decision to give him a short contract, that way just like fozzy last year. the club can see if he fits the bill and is over his illness.
  18. who is going, i have managed to get a delivery to heckmondwyke just down the m62 so i will be there, not sure if to stay there the night or drive back to gorleston..i might have a spare seat if i do come back if anyones interested.
  19. yes it was over, but things even themselves out. i mean in the first half at o-o the ref should have sent safri off. giving us a one man advantage. so in the end grant was right the final score read NORWICH 2-SOUTHAMPTON 1 end of story.
  20. just like to wish fozzy well, looks like a bad injury and he will be a big loss. the first half against barnet and again today when he came on at half time in place of brellier. fozzy gave us an attcking option and looked busy on the ball. SO GET WELL SOON FOZZY!
  21. very happy tricky place to go and get any result, and we only had a half fit curo,no hucks ect.and its just so pleasing not to concead a goal. so a BIG WELL DONE FROM ME!
  22. thanks for post,my wifes a hammer and i made her make her own way there tonight, despite me having a 8 seater car,and now im going to sleep in the spare room as i cant stand her smug face!  but apart from that we are a friendly bunch!
  23. yes very good signings made by the club, and for the first time in years we have cover in all positions. marshall/gilks-drury/lappin-otsomber/hughes-shackle/spillane-dublin/docs-brellier/safri(if still here)fozzy-russell/smith-croft/chadwick-huks/lappin or chadwick.-big dave/brown-curo/martin.   thats nearly two players for every position that will slot straight into the team WELL DONE GRANTY!!!!!!!!
  24. right with the season just 2 weeks away, its now time to put all differences away and back the boys to the hilt! we as fans can make all the difference to a team.WE ARE THE 13TH PLAYER!. and no matter what happens early doors in the season(just look at sunderland last year) we must stay utd.  an army is only strong when we its fighting as one unit.so lets close ranks now and start making our voices heard on the pitch. COME ON YOU YELLOWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
