I agree that we''re lacking one or two very able defensive / holding / deep lying midfielders. However, a strong aspect of our squad is the options we have more advanced in midfield. Hoolahan (not gonna play forever), Brady, Redmond, Howson (once in 5 matches), Jarvis are all talented enough for the Prem. Tettey, Mulumbu and O''Neill can all do a job but they don''t set the world alight. They are functional though... At this point, our strikers and defenders are the weakest area of the pitch. We have far more Championship standard defenders and strikers than midfielders IMO.

Seems shocking overall management to be going down to the final day of the transfer window making rash bids for centre backs.
