Which player will we re-sign next?

Fernando Derveld -
It seems that McNally is doing the interviewing for this job - I doubt Delia has ever directly been involved in the actual interview process! McNally has said some interesting things i.e 1) We have permission to speak to the manager (seems to rule out Adkins) 2) He seemed to indicate that a previous Norwich connection was unnecessary (seems to rule out Robins). Also I seem to recall Rotherham making it clear when Roeder was sacked that they didn''t want any approach from us for Robins. 3) Obviously in employment which rules out all the other suspects. All of this makes me wonder if we are looking at a coach rather than a manager or did McNally specifically say he was a manager?

Who DONT You Want As City Manager?
Stevie Wonder replied to Arthur Whittle's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Turned over??..Here?? Keep that to yourselves boys.............and girls.....and Mums..Dads...Uncles..Aunts...etc Fact is you were shit over 46 games....... Division 3
Yep totally correct, we finished where we deserved. You won''t find many on here saying anything else. Just don''t get too big headed because with Keane in charge it could all pear shaped very quickly. Judging by his spell at Sunderland he pays an awful lot of money for average players and he looks like he is doing the same with you. Daryl Murphy 0 goals in 23 games - with that record he should be signing for us! -
Alan Gow? - Argyle fan in peace...
Stevie Wonder replied to Rob_GT4's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Bit of a luxury player. Came in and did very well in his first couple of games, tore Cardiff to pieces at Carrow Road. Then the clueless Gunn began playing him wide where he looked less effective. Failed to score in 10 odd games for us. -
What about Steve Coppell?
Wasted money??......We''ll see!........oh and its Tamas Priskin, not Tomas... Which players from Sunderland have turned us down because of Keane??.....Oh the ones who came down for a medical?? Yeah because they didn''t realise it was Keane who was after them?!! And yes you might have lost to Coventry on the first day, then got relegated at the end of the season.............difference being you were crap last year, and we won''t go down and you know it.... Thanks for your input though..
Doesn''t say much for the pile of shite you had then considering you got turned over down here last year!! Anyway, I think your brother has got his gimp mask on and is waiting for you upstairs...run along tractor boy... -
Brian Gunn, still a legend?? Yes / No
Stevie Wonder replied to Lennon7's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Yes. Was a key part of the teams that provided us with the best 10 year spell in the clubs history. Don''t forget that the decline of this club began the moment he broke his ankle at Forest. OK, he was not upto the job as manager but I don''t blame him for taking the job. Also an absolutely top bloke who has always carried himself with the utmost dignity. Not many people could cope with what life has thrown at Gunny. -

Ketts pre-match and the Wig & Pen post match. Tend to vary pre-match between the Ketts, Red Lion and the Coach & Horses but usually head for the Wig post game!
jas just p-iss off your a c-unt
Bless. What will he be like when he reaches puberty? -
i mentioned that in another post!!! theres been a couple of people saying hes not worth the price...but if i remember iwan cost the same or more and ended up being an icon, even after a 1st crap season!!! hopefully holt will not need the time iwan did to settle in!
Iwan cost us £850,000 if I remember rightly.
-
I love the sentiment of the post but we have to remember we''ve only played Fakenham, Dartford, Raith Rovers, St Johnstone, Airdrie, Dereham, a load of 17-year-olds from Manchester and Crystal Palace. When Crystal Palace stand out head-and-shoulders as the best team we''ve played so far, that says a lot. But yes, I am glad the winning mentality is coming back to the club and players are clicking. It''s also nice to beat Palace, whenever we play them.
A Palace side that should be better than any team we will play in the league this season! Pre-season games mean bugger all to be honest, I can remember before the 88-89 season we got hammered by Hull, Hereford & Ipswich and then went & won our first 4 games and led Divison 1 for half a season!

hahaha all the usual suspects...
Stevie Wonder replied to Smudger's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Talking up the chances of a squad seriously lacking in quality as promotion candidates. Dear oh dear oh dear... when will some of you lot learn??? [:$]
OK Smudge, who would you have signed then? Hughes & Holt look very good players at this level. Tudor Jones and Whaley also look fine for this level. The others are likely to be squad players. The simple fact is we are a third tier team and it will be difficult for any of our signings to raise pulses purely by them signing! We still need a couple more players, notably another striker. -
I''ve just learnt of a Luton fan that McVeigh could only play a certain amount of games (10) for them last season due to: either a) his contract - weekly wage went up b) Luton would''ve owed his old club money Its worth pointing out that when McVeigh was playing, Luton had the best form of the season. May seem like a bad signing as he was not a regular at a relegated League 2 side last season but the above puts it into context. Also we had discussions with a former Norwich player now working in Luton (Zema Abbey) who said that McVeigh would be going into a coaching role at Luton but didn''t work out so he came home to Norwich lol
Why would Luton owe his old club some money? Wasn''t he out of contract when he left here and then signed for Luton as an out of cntract free?
-
Can nobody remember when, under Worthington, McVeigh''s contract was running out? In order to get a new one, McVeigh played like a world beater, got a new contract, went down Delaneys with Mulryne to celebrate and played like he had celebrated the night before every match. The point I''m making is that yes, McVeigh will show willing, up his fitness levels and score a goal against the mighty Fakenham, but this is because there is a carrot being dangled in front of him. What happens IF he is offered a contract?
Offer him a 3 month deal with the proviso that if he pulls his "weight" then he''ll get a deal to the end of the season and if he again does the business he gets another year. Not sure I would bother as he couldn''t get in the Luton team for most of the last 2 years.

Might be to lightweight for League 1...some clod hopper of a defender will boot him out of the game inside 5 mins. He doesn''t seem to be a Hux who thrived on being kicked!

who replaces russell??
Stevie Wonder replied to england1966's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
It will also be a 2 match ban for Russell as well, as you get an extra game for a second sending off. Personally, I would go for Patty. Can''t rule out a new loanee arriving either! -
