1. He was an away supporter sitting in a home section from what I can gather - what are the rules there? From NCFC''s perspective is that a bannable offence?
2. JF wrote ''To be honest it would be harder for a manager not to get our squad in the top 6 of this league.'' That basically sums up my exact feelings regarding this season. I like Alex Neil, and haven''t been banging on for him to get the boot whatsoever, but come May this is what I''ll have judged him on. This season was the one to get us back up to the Premier League - for a variety of factors, I can assure you it will only get more difficult to achieve promotion from next season, and that is the concern for me.
3.
Everyone was saying they had bad feelings about this game Ricardo. But the binners were riculously poor and without a Murphy up front they were toothless too. Pleasing that we didnt hoof it back and continually played our football and we were the best side by a country mile. Agree Dijks was our MOM but the player who had most influence on the match was their keeper. Dropping home points to them in these circumstances isnt why we''re not in the top six.
Exactly that Eddie, a bang on round up of the game I feel mate 👍
4. They are on a good run of form, don''t like to admit it but it''s true. Seems they have found cohesion with being stubborn at the back whilst also offering better forward movement, so this derby is no formality. We desperately need to guard against a quick start from them ala Newcastle. What worries me is we''re due a sending off against them, or a game where we dominate and smack the crossbar 6 times, then they nick one with a Dean Coney style goal. This is not the time to allow that to happen. One other point - they are also on a good run of ''doing us a favour of late'' form, so in that respect, let''s hope they keep that up 😉
5. Maybe it did feel bigger Bob, I suppose it had to be given we were 1 game away from Wembley, just at this moment in time it feels like it''s going to be a real make or break game for us. It is very pleasing that a win will guarantee seeing us closer to either Sheff Weds or Leeds, possibly both if they draw. I won''t be attending but I have good reason for this - bar a handful of draws, I''m on an 18 month losing spell when I attend, and having this weekend off I could indeed go. But given I feel like a really unlucky omen, I didn''t feel it was fair on my fellow City supporters to jinx it, I want to give us the best chance of winning so everybody is happy on here and we get ourselves into a much better position. Sounds stupid, but it''s true, I''m simply not risking it mate. I am on for Sheff Weds and Bristol City but if we win against Ipshite then I may even hold off going to the Wednesday game. Re Sheff Weds - I think they''re a good team, but agreed, we should really be tearing them a new one, like yourself, I feel this squad could be doing so much better, but at least we know we''ve got it in the locker. I honestly didn''t feel confident about Burton Albion, we have come up short against such teams so the result didn''t surprise me, and although our track record against the top 6 has been far from impressive, I think playing more open teams like SW and Leeds will suit us better. Their fans are getting nervous, and Leeds are already showing clear signs they''re bottling it - we need to respond to that and turn the screw. I believe we can do it, and with a win against Ipshite, well, that would do wonders for both club and supporters whilst, as stated, undeniably putting even more pressure on those above us, that I will confidently state as ''fact''. A look at the SW message board shows quite a high proportion are unhappy with recent performances and feel that, despite some wins, their performances are going downhill. That is a very good sign to me mate 👍
6. Ipshite seem to be playing better, with more ''flair'', dare I say it. 6-1 Norwich then 👍 Btw, worth having a look on the Sheff Weds forum - quite a few fans are getting a little nervous about the next 10 days or so, so let''s make Sunday count - weirdly this home derby feels even bigger than the last one in the playoff semis for some reason, bring on the next pitch invasion 😉
7. Jim, you must be out of your mind if you think clubs are going to take legal action every time a newspaper publishes an inaccurate piece of speculation - they''d never leave the High Magistrates!. Think you''ll find they reserve that action solely for only the most damaging of accusations.
8.
Fair enough Alex. I agree he will be here until the end of the season, I just disagree it''s the right thing to do. I will always want the team to do well and I really hope we get into the play offs. We''ll see..
👍 Must stress that I''m not saying ''it''s the right thing to do'', just my feeling is that this is how it will play out. So with that in mind, we just have to put our frustrations aside as we''re still in the hunt, there will be twists and turns, just have to hope that those ''twists and turns'' go in our favour - I know AN should be able to gee the players up but my feeling is that supporters can motivate players better than anyone, I''ve lost count of how many players have said that themselves at their respective clubs including ours, and I''m a firm believer of that. We HAVE to make the playoffs and not accept Championship football next season, as that would be a bit ''happy clappy'' in my eyes - so let''s do our bit and complain when the times right, no point now as the board won''t appease Jim Smith, Broadstairs etc with a change now, there is no chance of that.
9. Ah, I thought you meant ''away games THIS season''. Been to a lot of grounds but Sheff Weds will be a new one for me, and am looking forward to it.
10. Hi Fiery Zac, I totally get that, and respect that - that could be the answer but you know as well as I do that AN will be here till the end of the season - as you have no belief in those at the top, what makes you think they will make a managerial change anyway?. I''m of the opinion that Alex Neil will be here till the end of the season regardless, that is how I see it, no matter however many rants take place on here, I just can''t see a change being made now. So for that reason, something that is completely out of my hands, I feel the best thing to do is get behind the players and trust that we can show that Burton was a blip and not a return to the bad patch we endured a few months back, because it really could go either way at this point. It''s not a question of ''I told you so'' for me, or Mystic Meg style message board point scoring - I simply want to see the team do well regardless of who''s running the show as that is irrelevant to me.
11. Depends season to season as my work varies but a paltry 3 so far, though I''m going to Sheff Wed and Bristol City, and hopefully more, I''m thinking Wembley 😉
12. Totally respect those that want Alex out etc, but let''s face it - worry about that at the end of the season, if needs be. Right now there is still a chance, but there won''t be if we all down tools now - nobody can pick the team up better than the supporters so don''t underestimate your contribution folks. We should never be losing to Burton Albion, even Brighton and Hove Albion either really, but we were never going to go unbeaten for the rest of the season either. It does show how quickly the table alters from week to week, so I''m hopeful that the good folk will roar us on to victory against Ipshite and we can make some gains on Sheff Weds and Leeds before we have to play them as then we will at least put a little pressure back on those teams. The fact is that it certainly isn''t over, but as supporters, let''s not underestimate the effect we can have on the players too. Alex Neil isn''t going anywhere before the end of the season so those that wish him out need to accept that for now, I just can''t see any benefit whatsoever to us creating bad feeling at this stage of the season.
13. Ricardo, I thought in the good spell leading up until Newcastle, Martin and Klose were keeping the goals conceded to a minimum, no? Not that I think conceding 2 to Newcastle is shameful or anything anyway.
14.
Not an excuse, but the run of games and injuries is definitely a factor.I wouldn''t be surprised if there weren''t a few players not even close to 100% fit today.
It is a very reasonable and fair point. Gutted we didn''t get anything out of this game, but having a half a brain, I already understood why Hoolahan wasn''t going to start today.
15. Hank, truth be told, if the penalty incident had happened on Paul Lambert''s watch then I''m sure for many it wouldn''t be an excuse. Read into that what you will...
16. With Leeds losing, and I had a feeling this might (may) happen, 3 points today would be massive, although we could still make the points up it''ll certainly be a lot easier for us if we could help force their hand by giving a good performance and 3 points at Burton, we need to give them the jitters, not ourselves!
17. Peter Jay And The Jaywalkers - my late Dad''s band formed in Norwich. The Cure - my mates band, and I was handsomely paid for a bit of work back in 2005 by Robert. John Mayer - that boy can really play. Jeff Buckley - that boy could really play. Led Zeppelin - John Bonham, that''s all. Beth Orton - a fine singer songwriter from Norfolk. Bruce Springsteen, and that''s all I can think of.
18.

Did he do it picking up his wages or picking up the kids from school? He didn''t do it playing.
What a mean-minded comment. Turner is a good pro who deserves better than this. You think that just because a player isn''t featuring for the first team he contributes nothing? Try asking the younger players about him. And if I''m not mistaken, I believe he did pick the injury up playing -- for the U23s where his experience and leadership make a difference.
Some people, it makes you wonder 😉
19. Why, Tilly? Sheff Wed are yet to win, or even draw, their game in hand, they play Leeds, Newcastle etc before long, not to mention us. So, yes, ''if'' therefore remains very achievable if we do the business.
20. Jim, I guess we all see things differently, I personally don''t think Tettey has been at his best by his standards, as other people have also noted, and I''ve been impressed with Mulumbu when called upon. However, it''s not a serious criticism as I''m not one to slate players whatsoever when they''re not on form I.e like the treatment Naismith was getting, all players dip in and out which to me is natural, ultimately I think that it''s always best policy to play the players who are ''on it'' at the time - they all wear the yellow and green, and I have no favourites, they''re all my favourites!.
21. I suppose it''d be better for us if he didn''t get a ban given that Newcastle have to play some of our rivals for the playoffs, no? Not his biggest fan by any stretch of the imagination, and had done nothing to impress me in games against us previously but it sounds like he had a good game last night.
22. We could really do with an international break, is one coming up?
