1.
Answer me one question honestly, who at 6pm last night expected to get a result away to favourites for promotion Charlton? shhhhhhhh I can''t hear anyone so I''ll assume noone. [:)] So why has everyone gone into moaning overdrive as if the world has come to an end. Yes Grant is making mistakes, but he''s a new manager with a new team, lets hope he learns from them and quickly. But remember, we''ve played 6 games and we''ve lost 3, and  there are still 40 games to go. Lets keep positive and get behind the team and then if there''s no improvement by Xmas you''ll have something to moan about.
Whats the point of the question and no one able to answer. I for one fully expected us to go to any match this season with an expectation and at least an attempt to win. The way that Grant clearly does not feel that, with the team he has bought, there is any chance of winning is a disgrace. So weve bought players who he feels can at best compete for a draw against the likes of the mighty Charlton.
2.
"Brown works his a#/e of every match, sets goals up for every one else, chases down balls, hollds them up!! " "Brown brilliant! does as much as you could seeing as you had no one with you all night!!! Some fans dont have a clue"
Ben, sounds like you could point out to Grant the error of his ways. As you accurately identify Brown is only of use at holding the ball up for fellow strickers and creating flick ons fr his co-striker. Thats the point, there was no other forward so all that he offers was worthless, but thanks for pointing that out.
3. Anyone thought about maybe Gary Johnson. Done well in the West Country so far.
4. Thats just the only thing I can say over last nights fiasco. Doesnt matter when the goals came it was clear from the line up we had no intention than relying on a Huckerby piece of skill for a goal. Dont expect any improvement, remember Grants never done this before so quite rightly I can say "You don''t know what youre doing".
5. Well the title thread says it all, I really cant stand this dire rubbish to continue. Just bugger off Grant
6. You two must be having a laugh. There is no reaction just a continued damnation of Grants ineptitude, lack of ability and extremely poor team choice and tactics.
7.
As I''ve said many times, games need not be about defending. Go with a really attacking formation, get the goals first and then keep up the pressure, keep it up their end and then deploy more defensive players to give the attacking boys a rest. For example, against palace:                                                Marshall                      Speedy Jonzales    Dublin    Drury                                                 Brellier                                                 Russel                Croft                                                                Huckerby                                         Strihavka         Cureton     Give Russel the license to attack, let Brellier do his thing, have Croft and Hux get it as far up the pitch on the floor then they can pass to both forwards or cross to Dave.I suppose they could try crossing to Cureton but he''s unlikely to be able to jump as high as Daves upper lip.
Hey Bucketman, like the idea of all out attack but us having just 10 players is surely worse than having doc at the back, although......
8. I thought it was only Sky Sports that tried to claim that each individual game is massive for every single club. Lets keep some perspective, very rarely can you tell anything from one game alone.
9. yeah i remember recent prem teams talking about a side at our level which isnt allowed but im talking more about a non-league team which is still competitive.
10. Looks like Kings Lynn have some sort of first option on all our previous players, I see Fleming is likely to go there now. I wish them and Flem luck but was wondering, what with the lack of quality reserve football, couldnt we have a second team in lower level football or some deal that we can send players to a team like KL or cambridge united or such. I dont know if there are legalities but would allow our young players a chance for regular, competitive football where they can learn a style of football that Grant wants and whilst playing alongside each other. Any thoughts on this welcome.....
11.     Never easy to guess Grant''s thinking or fitness but my chosen line-up for Sat:                        MarshallOtsemobor, Dublin, Murray, Lappin            Croft, Brellier, Russell           Dave, Cureton, HuckerbySubs: Gilks, Docherty, Chadwick, Martin, SpillaneAm certain there wil be many objections but I have made these choices on the basis that is essential to win with difficult games to follow. Have used Murray rather than Doc based more on Doc''s weakness as have not seen Murray play. I also think this will allow both full backs to make the most of their attacking threat.
12. cant believe people want that song, more embarrasment for the club hurtling our way.
13. Looking forward to seeing Murray play but as with many players we get, not sure where his main postion is. I thought the idea was he would replace ginger p.
14.
You know, from that international break. OTBC
Hmmm, we''ll see.
15. Well I guess that the board were at least cleverer enough to realise that ticket sales would reduce so no need to expand the stadium, and hence the hotel.
16. At the moment I would actually rather Lappin at left back and Hucks in front of him. I agree that Lappin is playing well but think that he could offer all he does as an attacking force from left back. Obviously this raises the contentious issue of dropping Drury but I genuinely rate Lappin as a better left back than Mr Mediocre. Alternatively I like it when Huckerby is up front but really think him and Cureton would struggle as a pair and Grant has bought enough strickers that he must keep the faith with them.
17. I didnt hear it myself but if he did say there was a lack of passion I find that hilarious, when will the man realise that behaviour breeds behaviour?
18. he two main pros i can see of this very valid post are that the centre back and centre midfield pairing were consistent and much more balanced. They are the two areas we have since failed to replicate.
19. I dont see it as foreign talent, more a lack of english talent as its not as though we have loads of english players in top leagues over the world, obviosly excepting MLS.
20. love Gossy - will forever be remerbered for classic goals but was useless for the rest of his career, something i aspire to.hate, Savage and Dowie - grrrr
21.
Right, I nicked this from another site, but it''s reasonably fun. Basically, we have to pick a team of Norwich players past and present one at a time to make up our all star XI so, all you do, is cut and paste the thread, adding your favourite norwich player past or present into the allcocated position. Each poster can only add one fave player, so the first eleven of us to reply will pick one player each... clear as mud... It''ll get down to the bottom and we''ll have an interesting starting 11. Add your username as well... I''ll start. GK - RB - CB - CB - LB - RM - CM - Ian Crook (All in Yellow) CM - LM - CF - CF -Dean Coney   so the next person, copies that bit, adds username and fave player and re posts... this continues until we have a full team. Absolutely no point to this than to cure some midweek tedium.
22. There would be no point replacing one inexperienced bloke with another. Whilst I dont like any new manager starting at this level and have issues with Grants style we will have to continue with current plans. As I said Im not convinced that Grant is the right man simply because he does not have the experience and know how to instill a firm belief and ideas into the team, he is still usig trial and error, but Dublin would be the same. Very rarely does anyone do a ''Roy Keane'' in 1st season. I jst hope Grant does settle on his way of playing and manage to instill it into every player as i feel this is a large problem. Look at the likes of allardyce, oneill and even at sanchez with northern ireland, all played with a firm belief in a certain style and stuck at it, we seem to chop and change constantly.
23. so many cheesy possibilities for our new tune to run out to, none better than ''let the good times roll''. well spotted
