To be fair to Dixon and sourness, he did struggle with the pace of the game for the first 20 minutes, I thought he would be shagged out by half time, but he really grew into it and was a full on dynamo 2nd half... I suspect the issue is as much still getting used to the farkes tactical intricacies as the pace of the game

Having read some of the stuff written by Bristol city and Ipswich fans recently o think part of the 'why ipswich' question might in fact be Mark Ashton. From what the Bristol city fans say, he first made contact with the guys behind gamechanger on brizzles US tour in 2019, Bristol was obviously unavailable as an investment at that point and I suspect Ashton since then has been looking for a way to get into bed with them and Ipswich is a suitable ego vehicle that he can come in and take total control of.

Brentford don't even have an academy though. They have a 'B team' of players with potential but not limited by age and just play friendlies instead of being in the u23 league. I would argue that Brentford do very little player development of the sort we or Southampton rely on...

Do the pension fund actually own Ipswich though? I thought that the pension fund had loaned money to Gamechangers ltd, who are the actual owners. As such the pension fund wouldn't care whether or not Ipswich make huge profit, they are only interested in the loan repayments being made...

It's better. Coloured has negative connotations for a lot of people from the way it was used in the past in a discriminatory way, e.g. "no coloureds". In capt pants post above the (currently) most accepted way would have probably been to refer to our BAME players.

I know you're making an anti-racist statement, but, please don't describe the victims as coloured, many see that as just as offensive....

Perhaps the Greeks just didn't want to take our word for it and want their docs to look at him before deciding if the injury is enough to not have him play. Got to admit I know very little about the Greek team so don't know if they have anyone semi-decent to play instead.

I know our relative pauperism compared to other PL clubs has been discussed a lot, but, I was just looking on wiki's list of football club owners (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_owners_of_English_football_clubs) and in the top four divisions there is only one listed worth less than Delia & MWJ! I realise that there are a fair few not listed, but it is still quite shocking and really brings home how well we are doing in general and especially this window.
