1. My first game of the season so I''m going for a 2-0 win.
2. To be fair I don''t think the whole lack of youth in the baron years can be blamed on managers not giving them a chance as I believe if they were good enough they would have played. Other than Hayes I can''t think of any youth players we have let go that has gone on to play at our level (whatever that may have been at the time) or higher?
3. Can''t believe we''ve not scored yet. Second half showing hopefully...
4. Keep the updates coming I''m following via my phones WiFi in me hotels bar!
5.
Train tickets are £110 for 2 adults :O jesus any one know how to get cheap train tickets?
In the same boat here. It''s just the cost of getting there that''s putting me off at the moment.
6. Don''t see it myself. This team is made up of mainly unproven players at this level barring a few. A top half finish will be a good season with a promotion push next year.
7. In no particular order. Forest. Cardiff (providing no fire sale) qpr, bristol, hull (see cardiff) This based last seasons form and half tidy sides that now have decent managers. As much as I''d like to think we''re a top 6 I think we''re still a huckerby away. Not sure why people are backing boro. They were average last season and have signed scotch this summer. Leeds could be a threat if they got their cheque book out but they''ve been pretty reserved so far. But as usual an unfancied side will have a storming second half to the season and sneak. into the playiffs
8. This is really annoying as I was planning to go on the saturday and now can''t.  Bloomin'' sky. grrrrrrrrrrr.
9. Pretty certain the Grant move was the removal of Ashton''s international appearances clause. - Good business if Grant had been any good!Didn''t we only get about £2m for Green so 15% of any profit should be fairly healthy as I can''t see him moving for less £4m-£5m.
10. he''s always looked solid when I''ve seen him even if his distribution has been a bit dodgy. well done Nelson you''ve written yourself into history.
11. Have to admit that''s not a result I expected. Its scary how much we rely on Holt and Hoops as we seem to have no creativity without them. That''s put me in a bad mood for the rest of the night!
12.
No, we''re not going to mess it up, and I think we''ll do quite nicely out of the next two games... I am, however, worried about our game against Gillingham at home. They''ve just said on the FLS that the Gills are the only team without a win away from home... and their next away game? Norwich, at Carrow Road.Given our past record for helping teams to end losing runs, what odds on us losing this one?!? [:S]Barely matters, though, cos we''ll be promoted by then... [:P][;)]
- I wouldn''t worry about that game as i''m going and we''ve won all 6 games i''ve been to this season! :) Can''t believe how negative everyone is after a draw, we''re not going to win every game. 4 points from our next 2 games and wrap it up against the gills. We''re top for a reason even if it is that we''re not as rubbish as the rest of this league.
13. I thought the telling interviews were straight after the game with the 2 Tranmere players who couldn''t keep a straight face when asked whether the goals were suspect or not. Fair play they didn''t admit to wrong doing like I wouldn''t expect Norwich players to if the game was reversed in our favour but their expressions basically said we can''t believe how lucky we''ve been with inept reffing tonight!
14. I commented to my mate as we watched the game in disbelief that it sounded like a home game. Full respect to those that went, you are a credit to this club.
15. It really didn''t matter who played, the ref was the star of this show.
16. Lambert has said he has no problems with us being on telly so thats good enough for me! Its been a while since we''ve properly hammered someone Colchester stylee so I''m going for a convincing City win 3-0. :P
17. Was going to go for 1-1 until I saw their injury list and the fact their top scorer is out so another 3-1 to city.
18. All bbc channels seemed to die about a minute before we came on for 10 minutes on virgin up here. At least I got to see the goals live! :P Have to agree about the comments about claridge talking about day light. not sure what 7/12 points are classed as then?!
19. Lappin was awful today, long hoofs forward to no one and shyed out of so many tackles it was scary.
20. I''ve also just got in and would agree with pretty much what you''ve scored. We were very sluggish the first 20 minutes or so but after that we started to get back into the game. Second half we were an entirely different team, I don''t know what Lambert said but it sure as hell worked! Cracking atmosphere today and I think its ours to lose today after a very impressive second half showing. My moment of the match was Nelson completing a pass and not looking for the touch line! :) Great day out barring the poor roads and parking around the ground.
21. I don''t see why he shouldn''t start, he was far more effective in his time on the pitch than Martin was today.
22. I''m going for 2-1 city. 5th away game of the season and hopefully 5th win!
23. Me and me mate are heading down for our 5th away game of the season and hopefully fifth win! :) Anyone know what the parking is like there as one of us will have to drive?
