1. My brother, father and uncle are all wolves fans, therefore i follow them quite a lot as well.  They are a well-organised club with a good manager.  I would say that they definitely have the quality to win the league.  If you look at our squads, they are not that different. Where we have Huckerby, they have Seol, where we have Green, they have Murray, where we have Ashton, they have Miller, where we have MLJ/Drury, they have Clyde/Naylor. I know which line up i''d rather have and its not the one which wears old gold and black!!!!!! My point is, that both ourselves and Wolves are well-run clubs with dedicated fans and good managers. How anyone can rule out Wolves as automatic promotion contenders is beyond me.
2. I can see several teams challenging for the top spots in the division, however i seriously doubt that either Plymouth or Luton will be amongst them. If we revive our home form from previous seasons and from the end of the last season, then we have solid foundations, for at the very least a play-off position.  if we can then pick up points away from home, then a top two finish is on the cards. However, to say that we will win it easy is quite frankly ridiculous.  My opinion is that Wolves will win the league and that Norwich will finish second. On The Ball City
3.
Whilst yesterday''s sickening events have quite rightly taken centre stage, I feel that something seems to have slipped through the net from this thread. Gareth Keenan - can I pass on my condolences ...
Can i also add my sincere condolences Gareth on what must be a terribly difficult time for you.
4. Good to see he looks so happy, because he always tried his hardest for Norwich.  Nice that he''s at his hometown club and that he marked his debut with the winner. Modest professional, shame about the dreadful kit.
5. Green''s worth more than £2m to the club. Pompey take a hike.
6. I wouldnt worry to be honest.  There is plenty of time left before any panic buying has to take place.  I believe that 4 or 5 more are needed and so for all we know, negotiations with this sort of number of players could already be under way. More will sign in hte next 2 weeks and we can all stop worrying
7. You speak great sense and truth Vicar.
8. Rumour has it that Phil Mulryne returned specially for the event - which is said to be his favourite, due to his enormously high levels of fitness.  Apparantly he stormed into a lead within the first ten meters, only to be caught out by a cruel and unfair trick.  Someone had parked a burger van at the 20 meter mark.
9. I feel sure that there must be some pics of Doris in her norwich shirt floating around.
10. A terrible, terrible day.  It''s these such incidents which make me more determined than ever to give my support to the War on Terror.  It makes me feel even prouder of the fact that we have a government and a Prime Minister who are prepared to stick their heads above the parapet and say ''this isn''t right''. i am proud of the way our emergency services coped with this barbaric act of utter horror.  Let''s see if the IOC stab Great Britain in the back.  Let''s see if they dare.
11.
For someone with apparently blistering pace, I have yet to see Jonsson take anyone on - if he had been a ''freebie'' at the beginning of the season and played as he did, then I doubt there would be many...
Although of course possible that Jonson could leave, i feel i have to say that it is unlikely, considering the fact that the player himself has released a press statement, saying that he will be here come the start of the season and so is committed to the canary cause. These things have been said before by a player, only for them to move later on, however, i disagree that Jonson will jump ship.
12. Holt and Flem are almost surplus, yet should probably be retained as cover for the long season ahead.  If they start regularly then we have problems....
13. Could be worth one you never know! I''d rather have Ashton, though i see his odds arent quite as appealing.  I wouldnt mind betting that at least one of our great front line gets Player of the Season
14. Whilst i admire your undoubted optimism, i dont think we should take ANYTHING for granted.  This is a hellish difficult league to get out of at the best of times.
15. It''s clubs like Man U and Chelsea who continually flout the rules that are slowly dragging football further and further down into the depths of despair
16. I would never personally boo a player - unless he has acted in a similar fashion to the little so and so Camara at Wolves.  Francis could be an amazing asset if he gets the right attitude and i can state that he wont be receiving any boos from me (as long as he doesnt play like he did at Fulham!)
17. Sorry for a minute there i thought King had suggested that Parkin is better than Ashton
18. I think we need: - RB - one if Hel stays, obviously two if he goes! CB - someone to partner Shacks CB - Doc could be OK, but Flem certainly wont CM - to offer cover for when Saf is on international duty CM - to replace Francis if/when he goes ST - provide reliable cover if/when Ashton/McKenzie become injured/suspended
19. He signed because he wants to end up back in League 1 very shortly....... Parkin is no great loss, i still think we''ll sign Freddy Eastwood or someone of a similar ilk.  Even if we dont, then as some posters have already mentioned, we have by far the most superior strike force in the league as it is anyway - FACT.  If the Binners want to revel in their non-existent glory then by all means let them, because by the time the yellow and green bandwagon rolls into Portman Road, they''ll be quaking in their boots.  Parkin or no Parkin we will get promotion this season and i know which strike force i''d rather have. Hmm let me think Ashton/McKenzie or Parkin/Forster........................ On the ball city
20. Well done Deano for leading by example.  If only Fran would take notice!!! Great news for our promotion chances and also our overall future.
21. Option B for me definitely, however if a really stupid offer comes in for Greeno then sell him too.  Francis clearly has his heart set on a move away from Carrow Road and judging by his woeful performance against Fulham, we wont be missing much. The money brought in from the transfer could be used to cover the areas of concern and could help to reach the ''A-list'' targets. Bye Fran and good riddance
22. Why shouldnt I mention the goals conceded as a negative to Greeno''s previous campaign.  I''ll be damned if doesnt have anything to do with the ability of the keeper.  Whilst i accept that the entirety of the blame cannot lie solely with the keeper, there comes a point when you have to accept that he perhaps didnt have the impact that many - including myself - thought he would. Greeno has been great for Norwich and i definitely hope he stays at the club.  I''m only stating the fact that i was slightly disappointed by him last term and i dont care if some official stat says otherwise to be truly honest.
23. I would never deny that the best way to improve is to be challenged, however when this happened last season, Greeno failed to make the grade.  Whilst Man U, Arsenal and so on provide excellent competition, they are not realistic for Green until he can pan out his major problems - such as not commanding his area properly or coming to collect corners etc. My personal opinion is that another season in the Fizzy Pop wouldn''t be a disaster.  If we are indeed promoted at the first time of asking then Greeno has another chance, only this time he will be older and wiser.  Admittedly some of the blame for last sesaons dreadful conceeding of goals has to be put down to what was at times a dire defense.  However if a Prem team comes in with a nice offer then sell him.  Greeno can be replaced and it wouldn be fair to deny him the chance to improve his England credentials.
24. People refer to the amount of goals conceded last season for the simple reason that it is a fairly important statistic when considering the ability of goalkeepers.  If you took the time to read the post properly, instead of jumping to incorrect conclusions, then you would have read that i actually laid some of the blame with the defense.  However, Green is a goalkeeper, his job is to stop shots and so prevent goals.  Whilst he made some good saves, his overall game wasnt up to scratch last season.  I think he has the talent and mindset to become a great keeper and would dearly love for him to stay with us.  He simply has to realise that his game must improve to cut it in the prem and so until it does, the likelyhood of a Prem club paying the money that we are rightly asking for him is unlikely. Defending what were at times substandard performances will not help us! Despite this i will give Greeno my full support, because he is a Norwich player afterall and is usually a great asset.
