1. Lutonian - My 17-year-old daughter plays for the team and, no, she''s not a lesbian (sorry to disappoint your fantasies). DDD - Have you actually watched Norwich Ladies play live? If you had, you wouldn''t have come out with such a moronic statement. The ladies would hammer a lot of pub teams, I guarantee. To try to give your misogynist brain a steer, I watched the Norwich City Excellence girls under-12 team take on 17-year-old male teams at 5-a-side games at the Norwich Show a couple of years ago and laughed my ar*e off, because the lads couldn''t get the ball off the girls, they were that skillful. Don''t show your ignorance / prejudice.
 2. Yes, I do love womens football! My daughter turned out for Norwich and, if you put aside your stereotyping, you''d see that the game had everything - goals, lots of action and a sending off for a little bit of fisti-cuffs! Norwich had two players on display who have been involved with England in the past year or two. Sadly, Norwich lost on the day to a good Yeovil team who are now into the quarter-finals, which will feature the likes of the Arsenal, Chelsea and Everton Ladies, teams that contain a lot of England players. Come and watch a live Norwich City Ladies match at Plantation Park, then make any decision about womens football. I guarantee that it will shut you up.
 3. So, just because he''s been caught sh**ging, Terry''s worse than the Anti-Christ? I''m not a Chelski fan or a John Terry fan, but come on.... I''m sure that most posters on here know someone who''s been less than faithful to their partners and haven''t been outraged - be honest now. In fact, I''m willing to bet that a few of the posters on here can''t throw stones, having surrounded themselves by glass houses and all that... Has the moral majority suddenly appeared on this Forum? I doubt it.
 4.
Based on what? One game when no one done anything! Can''t remember hearing Wes touch the ball on commentry and he also got subbed, Are you going to slate him aswell! Everyteam has off days.
Well said. And hasn''t Cody got two goals in the last three games - that''s very "KAK"!
 5.
Agree about Rose, who was poor today. Drury will go back into team when fit if he continues like that. Bit harsh on Lappin - although he did make few miss passes. Their game plan was to take hooly out of game - and it worked
That''s the second week running that Wes has been man-marked and it''s effective for the opposition. I hope that this isn''t going to be a feature against us.
 6. Looking at Millwall''s home record against the top clubs, I think that we''ll get beaten by a single goal - however, a win for us and I''ll be doing cartwheels! In a strange way, I think that a loss will spur us on to another long run of wins. I just hope that the moaners and whingers don''t start slagging off the team / lambo / the Board because we lose a match!
 7.
A song played on tuesday just before kick off on Saturday dont know what its called it was just all music no words anyone no where i could find out atall or anyone help me ?
It''s a re-mix of Led Zeppelin''s ''Kashmir'', but I don''t know who has put it out.
 8.
I will be personally starting a chant at the next game along the lines of: "Say, we are top of the league, say, we are top of the league, but of course there are lots of games to go, and Leeds have games in hand and we could hit a bad patch or pick up injuries to key players so we not really that confident at this stage, so sorry if we offended anyone with our ridiculous overenthusiasm for our team." Snappy or what?
LOL!
 9.
It was very parky at fortress CR this afternoon but  25.5k turned up to see the home run record extended to eleven games. Ricardo was more than pleased to press the thermal pants back into action as the afternoon progressed because the on field events rarely succeeded in raising the temperature. To report that the first 25 minutes was a non event is to do dis-service to non events. Hartlepool got in our faces from the off and most of the early action was in the middle of the field. We had a couple of forays into their box that amounted to nothing and they did the same at our end while the crowd seemed strangely quiet. The defence seemed solid enough but a creative spark from midfield was distinctly lacking. Wes was totally annonymous and nobody else was prepared to pick up the baton. Hartlepool won a couple of corners and you could sense that they were growing in confidence. A half cleared ball fell to Austin who slotted a fine drive into the corner from just outside the D.  The goal seemed to electrify City as straight from the restart the ball was worked up to Cody who swept it wide to Martin and then got on the end of his pin-point cross to head a fine equaliser at the far post. Very Holtesque I thought but in truth we were definately lacking the aggression up front that the big man brings to the game. Within five minutes we took the lead, Chris Martin picked the ball up inside the box a side footed a pass into open space for the galloping Michael Rose to crash a low thunderbolt into the far corner. All now seemed right with the world but to Hartlepool''s credit they didn''t crumble and the rest of the half slowly drifted into a stalemate. The second period opened much more brightly with City moving the ball a lot quicker but 15 minutes of pressure failed to bring a third goal. Again all credit to Hartlepool, they continued to battle and Wes was still getting the double marking treatment. Chances were few and far between as the game descended into a war of attrition but Forster had to make one fine block when Pool made the best chance of the half. Cody went off and Oli came on but nothing really changed the pattern of the game and I for one was grateful to hear the final whistle. The King of Spain was my MOM nominee because he was all action throughout although some of his set pieces were a bit below standard. Of the rest, Smith and Rusty came strong towards the end and Chris Martin did a lot of unselfish running. Cody and Oli were o.k but they had little real service from the creative part of the midfield. I am sure Wes will have better days than this but we can''t expect a Roy of the Rovers performance every week. Doc and Nelson again very solid and restricted Pool to very few efforts on target. All in all I''m well satisfied with the 3 points from a dour old game that won''t live long in the memory.
A fair summary, Ricardo, although I think that Nelson may be replaced by Whitbread next week - his distribution was awful again and he got dragged all over the place by Behan (and then Boyd). A very good debut by Rose, although Smith and Russell were excellent again. We really miss Holt up front.
 10.

huh? We''re not going to have a female commentator today are we? [:O]
phew. i was panicking aswell!
I thought that you were a fan of women''s football.....
 11.

So if you were in the last couple of years of your chosen career ahead of retirement and the company you were working for were paying you rather a lot of  money for not doing a great deal - would you move to get paid a lot less and have to work harder? I know I wouldn''t - lack of self respect or not I have my future to think about. Try looking at it from a professional point of view rather than a fans!
Absolutely right.  City entered into a contract with Jamie and should honour it.  Jamie cannot be criticised for taking what was promised to him and what he is due.  No one else would turn down wages so get real. City made the mistake not Jamie.  We are stuck with his contract unless we buy him out.  If you want to complain blame Grant and Doncaster not Jamie.
In essence, this is what Lambo has said about Jamie Cureton''s situation.
 12.
Saw him during his time at Chester, he stood out in the Conference and has proved himself in lower leagues since. He was a lot better than his brother who also played at Chester, non-league ''da Silva'' brothers if you will. Michael Rose will be good for us, he is a solid left back much like Drury only Rose scores more! Only concern is his ability to step up to the Championship as I would have thought if he was good enough he would have had a crack at it by now, but as for doing a job for us in League One he is  a good aquisition.
Isn''t he just on loan until the end of the season?
 13. Semi-pro for Dorchester Town in what was the Southern League (I think that the equivalent League nowadays is one below the Conference). I''ve actually scored in the FA Cup, although it was a tap-in from two yards (and I almost missed!).
 14.
In fairness to these leeds fans on here and on their board, they are not the arogant leeds type profile of the past!, the are much more humble and willing to appreciate other rivals..Perhaps league 1 football has done them some good..now all we need to do is retraint man utd and spurs fans, and football will be the winner! :)
What about spainboy - LOL!
 15. Looking at this objectively (from an NCFC fan) this is a good signing, despite the banter on here. Whenever he played against us in the CCC, he always did well; he''ll do very well in League One. Along with the other signings, this will strengthen Dirty Leeds considerably; I hate to say it, they will be on our tails until the end of the season.
 16.

But he just played with a strong Reserve XI at Stevenage, did he play that bad to loan him out ???? It''s indeed strange, just when Drury is injured for several weeks. The Manager must be convinced that Rose is up to it, big big decision ...
Maybe Lambert is seeing Rose as cover for Lappin (or vice versa) who will switch to left-back whilst playing McNamee on the left-wing in a 4-4-2. Still concerned about the lack of pace down the right though.
I''m hoping that Lappin reverts to midfield - we don''t seem as effective when he''s at left back.
 17.
And if so - when will it be?  Only 2 more sides have a chance of ''doubling'' us in the league (although Carlisle and Southampton could get doubles of sorts).  Will it be either of them?  My own thought is that our next defeat could be as late as Charlton (a) although the Huddersfield game will be tough
Will we lose again this season? Yes.
 18.
''looks like the next game could make or break are season '' Quality grammar, too! [:D]
There''s no apostrophe between ''grammar'' and ''too''. Quality g..
 19.
It may have been mentioned already but am i right in thinking that we can go top tomorrow as Leeds play in the FA cup, we then both play on tuesday so another win for us and a loss for Leeds can really cement our place at number 1.
Not a lot gets past you, does it.
 20. The foul that led to the penalty wasn''t a red, but the one where Holty was hauled down on his way to goal, having bundled past their centre back, definitely was - I can''t see how Dean could say there was cover! Holt went ballistic and rightly so!
 21. It could be titled ''Revenge'' or ''We''ve Got Lambert, We''ve Got Lambert, You Ain''t, You Ain''t''.
 22.
*Sorry, Link NR9. Look at my post count rocket up, feel like a right banana.
No probs - by the way, I don''t look like that in real life - honest! By the way, are you a Kiwi resident over here, or on a Gap Year or whatever?
 23.
Having not been to many away matches recently, for a variety of reasons, I was lucky enough to get the chance to go today with my daughter and a good friend. It turned into an away day classic. With some degree of local knowledge of the area and the fact my daughter’s father in law is a steward at Col U we were tipped off on likely parking areas etc and managed to find a spot not too far away. Have to say the new venue was very disappointing, is this really an improvement on Layer Road, don’t think so. Why are so many of these souless plastic grounds being built miles from nowhere, no history, no atmosphere, and this one could not cope with a full away end - real crush getting refreshments, but cracking atmosphere at half time as Hucks was spotted in amongst all of us. Have to give a mention to the stewarding which was great, no one tried to get us to sit down and we were just allowed to get on with supporting. We were lucky enough to be on the back row, but the whole away end was full of singing and cheering and a great feeling and atmosphere with chant upon chant of encouragement to the team, many many songs about Paul Lambert and a few towards Mr Cowling. Pitch was shocking, how is anyone supposed to play football on that? Started slowly, with Col U getting the best of the first 20 minutes, but Martin’s second goal just before half time made the second half very much one sided. Great to see Doc’s classic goal, and more pleasing still to hear so many fans sing his song. What a turn around for him in recent months. New boy Olly very impressive and a great goal. Again both telling and pleasing to see the whole team go over and mob him. We really are showing great team spirit and at the head of it all and driving it on is Lambert. I didn’t think I would ever wonder how far we could go this season, after the dire end to the last one and the disgraceful first match of the season - who could possibly have drempt of today? It was always going to be difficult after the Col U Chairman had behaved like a spoilt child but we played well under the pre match hype and pressure. Yes there were many city fans in the home areas, but it was left to Col U fans to get carried away and act like idiots and get thrown out. I suppose they must wonder what might have been if Lambert were still there. He’s the difference between the two clubs and we are mighty lucky he wanted to come here. He’s inspired the players we had to become a team and for the club as a whole to mend after recent turbullent times. Not perfect yet, but today was a day when fans there shared something special, the realisation that this is going to be our year. Oh, and Hucks in the row in front of us - what a guy, what other club has a former player singing and cheering them on on the terraces? Good for you Hucks.
It''s no surprise that Hux is such a legend at the Club - he loves NCFC to death!
 24. Martin will be signed soon, I''m sure - Lambert thinks very highly of him.
 25.
watching the game online it was magic to see us notch up that many goals on a pig troff of a pitch! Im buzzing!!!
This wasn''t the best win for years, but certainly the most satisfying!
