  1. Brilliant - another Naismith post. That other one that everyone else managed to use was getting a little tedious. Maybe I should have started a new post for this comment.....
  2. “We have indeed visited Norwich’s training ground yesterday, and Utrecht’s representatives have a good relationship with those at Norwich. But Sébastien is unlikely to join Norwich. We are looking for a club that plays European football. If a club that is playing European football offers us something and they reach an agreement with Utrecht, then a departure this winter is possible." "Unlikely" is the key word. I''d like to play European football this year but that''s not going to happen either. Guess it''s all about £££££''s
  3. It was just an example Lessingham not a statement of what was there - I don''t believe anyone has a release clause that includes a sell on clause as well - it''s a ridiculous idea (but then this is football so could be possible)
  4. A saucy source who has not been wrong before...
  5. So that means that the release clause would have needed to include a sell on clause - i.e. Can be sold if someone bids £3.5m but the sale must include a future sell on clause giving Bournemouth 50% I seriously doubt this was the case
  6. I heard Sebastian Haller was in the building and signing today....3 Sebs in one team would be a record?
  7. If it''s in the Croydon Advertiser, it must be true. They normally have their finger on the transfer pulse...!
  8. Seriously?!? If Grabban plays and scores, it''s going to be a goal that whoever else they had on in his place would have scored anyway. I''d much rather a "hugely motivated" Grabban was one on one in the last minute than just about any other player Bournemouth have on their books. If he scores, so would whoever else they had on the pitch so no harm but my moneys on him blazing it over the stand. No such thing as the curse of the ex player - MTFU
  9. And don''t forget how much this will be hurting Bradley''s feelings
  10. RECRUITING IN JANUARY The January transfer window is a time to right some wrongs, make or break a season, and very often to panic buy. From Sky Sports: As shown on the Transfer Centre on SSNHQ, most January dealings are done by teams at the bottom of the Premier League, but does it work? More often than not, the answer is no, as shown by these tables. Stuart Pearce said: "There''s a danger that you''re going to go down, and with a massive wage bill. For me it is panic buying, it''s a gamble." Pant wetters beware.....
  11. I suggest that the Bournemouth bid for Grabban only existed in Grabben''s and his agent''s minds - Bournemouth had no intention of coming back for him after the way we dealt with them last time [source Bournemouth fan - not a huge amount of evidence I know....]
  12. I can see why some think it would be an issue to have reviews but in the penalty not given/goal at the other end example, if a manager calls a review then the ball remains in play with the review outcome pending. In the very unlikely event a goal is scored at the other end before the review is completed, then it''s simply disallowed and the penalty given. I doubt this will happen more than once per season per division though so not really an issue. Probably never going to happen as officialdom seems to like cr@p refereeing...
  13. Why not just adopt the cricket or tennis style of review - give each manager the opportunity to have say 2 decisions reviewed per game - any decision they fancy.
  14. Soton fans I know think Van Dijk has been a brilliant signing and one of their best players. Gotta love football fans - can''t agree on much
  15. I assume Russ drops to the bench as cover for both CB & RB, Pinto starts with Wisdom as cover and Whittaker departs. Sounds good to me especially if we pick up a quality CB this month - we''ll have a good first choice defence with good cover and competition for places across the back four
  16. We really shouldn''t be targeting players like Kirchhoff - he''s suffered injury after injury and his form has failed to live up to it''s early promise - there''s a reason he''s cheap....
  17. Liverpool''s Premier League rivals Norwich City had lined up an audacious move for the Italy international, but it was believed that the player had no interest in joining a team of Norwich''s stature.
  18. Scored a great own goal for Chelsea in the champions league and got substituted at half time from memory....
  19. This board would go nuts if we signed Kirchhoff - he''s only played a handful of games in the last 2 or 3 years, is injury prone and was rated but isn''t now. Sunderland are in a bad place if this is the kind of player they''re signing
  20. Charlie''s out for ''a few weeks'' with the same hamstring that kept him out for a month earlier in the season Thought it was his knees that were shot? Probably too risky even if he fancied it
  21. This is irony, right? Sad that it''s so difficult to tell on here these days
  22. Fickle is a word invented for the posters on this board. AN''s doing a decent job with what is basically a squad that wasn''t good enough to win automatic promotion from the championship with the only notable addition being Brady. Spend £20m on a CB & CF and we''ll be ok. If we don''t, we''ll go down. If the worst happens, I''d rather have AN in charge next season than anyone currently featuring on Swansea''s list
  23. Jeez - 29 year old man makes arse of himself in the face of provocation - he''ll not be the last this Christmas and I''m glad no-one posted video for my less than finest moments. Bet he''s embarrassed, bet the clubs dealt with it. He is genuinely a decent bloke and the reaction of some of our so called "fans" on here is a disgrace. Really glad the hanging brigade are not my friends - you really wouldn''t need enemies....
  24. Jerome had a decent game if you ignore the main reason he''s there. If you include scoring goals he is way out of his depth at this level and I''m sure his stats are something like 1 in 6 in the PL. Way better than Grabban though.... Need to spend big next month on a striker (stating the obvious..)
