  1. I will be going with my daughter and two grandsons - has anyone heard when tickets will be available from Norwich?
  2. I hope to be there with my grandsons, it should be agood test for us prior to being ''Premier League''
  3. Does anyone know how many bookings that Henri has against him, could it be they he close to a suspension?
  4. I really enjoyed the game tonight, the team were up for it from the start and did not play like a friendly, we were far more competitive and some off our passing and moves were a joy to watch. Nobody should come in for any flack following that performance though if I had to single out anyone for praise it would be Gary Doherty who was superb at the back and Wes Hoolahan who was a threat all night long. Weel done to everyone it is a long time since I fet so confident going into a new season. On a sad note, we were very sorry to see Michael Nelson carried off like he was, we hope and pray that his injuries are not too serious and that he is quickly back playing again as his partnership with Gary is looking impressive
  5. Bly Bly I agree to some extent - perhaps with the exception of John who I thought was far to open in his crtisism of the players. I just remember how friendly things were under Ken and Mel Machin, the football was good to watch and it was fun at Carrow Road.
  6. Dear Moderators I feel that this message is not in the best taste and perhaps should be withdrawn. Bryan Gunn openly states in his book that he suffers from Ankylosing Spondylitis, I too suffer from this awful chronic painful disease which causes distortion in the neck and spine which is highlighted in the photograph of Brian Gunn on the official website. To draw attention to this publically is not particularly helpful. I am more than happy for my message to be sent to Huge Hairy Canary so he is aware. Kind Regards Maidstone Canary
  7. Pete Great idea - I have submitted my thoughts - will the results be available online for those of us who live away from Norfolk
  8. I was ten when I went to my first match with my dad back in 1961 - I hope to take my grandson, who will be seven next month to see Norwich at Charlton as a birthday treat in September, if we can manage to get the tickets.
  9. According to the Dereham website - Norwich won 3-0 - no other details as yet, does anyone else have any details of scorers, team etc?
  10. Spot on Dicky I have supported Norwich through thick and thin for 48 years now - I have stopped posting on this board over the last few months, being fed up with all the negativity and the constant slanging of players and management- its good see posting like yours and Chippy''s - True supporters of our wonderful club
  11. If I remember rightly - many moons ago - It used to be the Queen song - ''Another One bites the Dust'' as the players came out
  12. We agree - Nigel has been a fantastic servant of the club - he worked wonders for us when we were at rock bottom and got us to the promised land, albiet only for a season. As a person we have great respect for him - and we hope that he manages to overcome this sad day and move on to success with another club. Thanks Nigel for all you have done for Norwich City. Kevin and Sally Miller
  13. Ron Davies was without doubt the best, but I am surprised that Terry Allcock has not featured as well, some of his goals were superb.
  14. I agree 100% - Sevreal times I have made the point that so called fans are continually having a go in a destructive way - I wonder how they would feel if people publicly wrote about them, their private lives and family''s as some have on here. I am a life long supporter of Norwich City - I always will be and whilst I share disappointment at our position this year, I will continue to support my home town club in every way. As for this forum I too have had enough of reading much of the slander and rubbish that appears on here, I will now revert to official sources to learn more about my beloved club.
  15. To all of those at The Pink''un we send Christmas greetings and our thanks for all your hard work throughout the year. To Nigel and the players - we wish you every success in the forthcoming games, lets hope and pray for less injuries in the second half of the season so that we can play with a settled side. To all those who doubt - may you be blessed with a little more patience and really get behind the club instead of continually having a go! To you all - We wish you a very Happy Christmas
  16. Damien Francis His worst game for Wigan. Like a rabbit caught in the headlights. 5 That''s what the ''Sun'' thought of Damien Francis at the weekend - perhaps it was a good deal selling him when we did.
  17. Rudolph A superb post - one I have been waiting to read for many days. No team in the land has a divine right to win every game, if that were the case then football would not be worth playing or watching. Yes - I am bitterly disappointed so far this season, as I am sure are all those connected with our beloved club. However the best way forward is to pull together - and stop the stupid remarks and recriminations. Having supported Norwich for 46 years - through thick and thin, I am sure we will see an upturn in fortunes before too long, especially now the horrific injury list is now improving.
  18. Nigel must stay - he is one of the greatest managers the club has had, he has achieved more than most and has the full backing of the board and players and I am sure will go on to achieve much more with this present group of players. Frankly I am sickened by the continual maligning of Nigel and certain players that goes on by some, supposed supporters.
  19. I was impressed with Simon Charlton in midfield against Inter Milan, he was busy and caused them quite a few problems, I am sure he will do an exellent job, if called upon to play in midfield against Coventry. I also thought that Jason Jarrett played well and looked the sort of commanding midfiled player we need - I hope he gets his chance on Saturday My midfield would be Marney - Jarrett/Hughes - Charlton - Huckerby
  20. Sorry to get you all excited thinking we might have got two more additions on top of todays three new signings  but my daughter in law has just presented us with two most beautiful grandsons yesterday, Ewan ( named after Iwan) and Ashton (I wonder where that one came from) - to add to the two smashing grandsons we already have - well on the way to a football team Nigel - your new back four for 2025!
  21. Born in Norwich - 1951 - actively supported the club since 1959 and first game I saw was against Luton Town with my dad in 1962 - that Sandy Kennon was great as was Kevin Keelan! other names from that era such as Bill Punton, Joe Mullett, Terry Allcock, Gerry Mannion, Barry Butler and Dave Stringer bring back many good memories  Although we moved away from Norfolk when I was two I have many happy memories of watching the Canaries over the years - even though now still exiled and living down in Kent we try to visit our beloved Norfolk as often as possible. I just wish it was easier for us exiled fans to get tickets for a few games these days but I guess that shows how successful the club has become when you cannot get a ticket for the odd game or two. Wife, son and daughter have joined me in my love of Norwich City FC and grandsons are well kitted out out with appropriate kit as they are shown the way!
  22. I am sorry to see that your time at Norwich has come to an end, you gave your all for the club and have been a tremendous servant, many thanks and all the bery best at Nottingham
