1. Gemma and I are in P2 and my credit card was debited on 13th April.
2. As a result of this season’s matches where most were on application, surely next season is the time to change the system over to make the away application system fairer to all. The old argument that a record of away games attended was difficult to keep due to cash admission or one person buying tickets for a group is much less relevant now as almost all away games will have been on application and NCFC will have a record of the customer numbers who bought the tickets.   I’m not sure which away games went to general sale immediately, possibly Wigan, Sunderland, Bolton but if these stubs were registered during the summer, NCFC would have most of the data required for to set up a points system. They already have the season ticket and membership data plus home games attended.   And I agree with the comments about if an away game is televised, there’s a different points weighting.
3. Liked it went he booked Nasri for a cynical foul on Bennett a couple of minutes after it happened when the ball finally went out of play. Thought he was a decent ref today.
4. As someone who doesn’t gamble  apart from a pound a week on the lottery my betting advice** to this forum is to get down the bank, sign out the deeds of your house and pop down to Ladbrokes to stick it all on Elliott Bennett to score anytime on Saturday vs Manchester City. He finally scored his first goal and that second one is not going to be very far behind.   (**No liability accepted if you do follow my advice)
5. Oliver bottled the first half penalty decision, pure and simple. Bottled the big decision in favour of the little club against big club, at the big clubs ground. Just like at the end of the Man Utd vs Fulham game on TV a couple of weeks ago.
6. I first heard the “Thursday night Channel 5" song away at Manchester City. I’m sure it was started by the man in the row behind us who was in the upper tier. Regardless of who thought it up, it’s a brilliant chant.
7. Bumping this one up to see if anyone can help Spencer who was ever so pleased to win the draw so his son could be today''s away macot. For those who have a few minutes to kill, here''s a report of last years Capital Canaries Mascot day http://www.capitalcanaries.co.uk/index.php?page=Away-Mascot-2010-2011 and one for 2006 when my daughter was mascot http://www.edp24.co.uk/norfolk-life/gemma_s_mascot_duty_made_me_proud_1_636233 I''m sure you''ll all love the last line of my report !!
8. There are 700 away season ticket holders and at a guess 1500 who may be in the P2 group so that leaves 800 left for the P3 group. Assuming of course that all of P1 & P2 actually apply for the game. Perhaps the early kick off may lessen demand
9. Just sent a PM, one of the Capital Canaries is interested. Tim
10.
There were times this season when Holty has been off form. Would you have dropped him at the first sign of trouble?
I think that has already happened this season. In the Sunderland game at home Holty came on in the last fifteen or so minutes and didn’t perform impressively at all. From memory he gave away a number of silly fouls which put pressure on us at the end of the game. The next game was Man Utd away and all three subs were used ahead of Holty, the third of which was Chris Martin. But the way Holty has responded to this has been excellent.
11. Assuming Wolves are already gone, three three of the next four teams would have to win four of seven games to be catch up with us. It''s not going to happen. One team maybe, but three of them? No.
12. I’d love Siggurdson to play at Carrow Road, but in transfer fee and wages alone it’s more than likely he’ll cost a much richer club than City considerably more than the bill to rebuild the City Stand for his services. Keep on dreaming.
13. A question for all those posting on this thread, and other threads about Morison. For arguments sake, take Morison out of yesterday’s team and replace him with Holt in the same formation…. 1. Would Holt have touched the ball so few times? 2. Would Holt been got himself as isolated at Morison? 3. Would Holt have brought team mates into the game? 4. Would Holt have worked harder than Morison? 5. If Holt had been having such a bad game as Morrison yesterday would he have not done the basics, and tried to get back into the game? 6. Would Holt have hidden and not demanded the ball? 7. Would Holt have wanted more from the players immediately around him? Yes I know we passed-passed-passed yesterday and the service to Morison wasn’t the best, but I think Holty would have shown more and we have had more options if he’d been on the pitch. Good players demand and get the ball and when they don’t get it they kick up as fuss until they do get it. I didn’t see any of that yesterday from Morison. I’d like to think that the majority of the answers to Q1 to Q7 would have been “Yes”, apart from Q2. When Wilbraham came on, a player would we rightly or wrongly assume is inferior to Morison and does so many simple things better things than him, we have a right to question Morison’s attitude and application on the pitch.
14. Yes Mr Chops, it was Etuhu that broke Adam Nowland''s leg; he never really recovered and retired with the injury. From memory it was a very poor tackle.
15. Looks very decent based on yesterday. He also won headers at attacking corners on at least three occasions, wouldn’t be surprised to see him nick a set piece goal or two over the course of a season.
16. Ward was booked after around 20 minutes or so for a nothing tackle, slightly mistimed, their player got up straight away and the ref got a card out much to everyone’s surprise. After that the ref just got worse. A few minutes later Ward went in for a tackle with their No7, Pogrebnyak, looked a 50/50 to me nothing in it from both players but Pogrebnyak stayed down. My first impression was that he was looking to get Ward sent off but he’d taken a knock. Hence the booing. Overall I thought the ref was very poor, inconsistent, fell for all their play acting and at the end then somehow failed to send Etuhu off for an assault on Russell Martin, after he’s been booked for an awful tackle on Wes only a few minutes earlier. The one on Wes looked a leg breaker, reminded me of an awful tackle Etuhu tried on his City debut vs Luton when he’d been having a running battle with Kevin Nicholls and went in on him with only one think on his mind. Luckily for Nicholls it looked as if he had the same idea and they just bounced off each other.
17. Just sent you a PM, a guy I know in the Capital Canaries was looking for one. Tim
18.

I thought Holty’s penalty was excellent. I can’t remember a penalty for City that he hasn’t put to the keeper’s right (his left); he missed the last one he took and this time he had the bottle to stick it down the middle. I did a Youtube of it, here.   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VZpPXyZUBKM&feature=youtu.be
Cheers for that Tim. Didn''t quite get the same view down at The Barclay!
Thanks, sometimes I feel (in my unbiased opinion of course!) that there is more action down the Barclay End of the pitch that at the River End; perhaps yesterday evened it up a little.
19. I was really pleased for Simon Lappin that he got another start and yesterday was maybe the last time we might be seeing him playing for City. If King of Spain doesn’t feature again in the first team I’d like to thank him for the last few years of service to Norwich City and especially “that” goal against Luton.   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sSTX6leOJ20

21. Hello Nolly thanks for PM, you have mails back. Tim
