Bradley Johnson Retires
All the Germans replied to chicken's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
In what way? He was technically deficient for a midfielder. Running around, kicking people and the odd screamer, fine, but control and passing was substandard of what you would expect for a central midfielder. -

Good memories but overrated for me. Couldn't trap a bag of cement. Nowhere near technically good enough. -
QPR v Leeds

I feel dirty, but, yes. Lesser of two evils. -
Ipswich over two legs and Farke in the final? Both Ipswich and Leeds to miss top two?

Love this question. I've answered based upon my first thought, not necessarily the right thought. Portugal - Ivo Pinto France - Viva Marc Libbra Germany - Farke (I know he's not a player, but still came to mind first, failing that, Zimmerman) Spain - Simon Lappin (sorry) Netherlands - Tim Krul Belgium - I've got nothing... Poland - Placheta (I don't think we had many options here). Norway - Tettey Sweden - Matty Svenson Finland - Pukki... Obviously. Brazil- Gabby Sara. Argentina - Buendia

Today’s Matches

I don't understand why a draw is ideal? We either think Southampton have a slim chance of catching Ipswich, or we couldn't care less as neither we are catching Southampton or Preston are catching us is going to happen? For the record Southampton for me, unlikely they will catch them but still possible. -
Cole Palmer

Such a visionary. -
I don't really rate McCallum. He's OK as backup squad player, but as a starter, he is a weak link for a team wanting to be at the top end of this league. Dimi is by far the better player in my opinion, despite his own weaknesses, and cannot understand peoples preference for McCallum.

Super Sainz

I don't think it's that simple. He was clearly not tracking / putting in the work rate when he first started. That has changed recently. -
The press always find a way. Apart from thinking he's a Rolls Royce of a player, I have no knowledge of him or opinion of him on a non "he's class at football" level, so it is good to hear that he seems a nice bloke too. However, having said that, I don't really care if someone is a nice bloke, why are we (as a country / nation / press - not you and I) interested. I want him to win football games, and unless he is criminal, I couldn't care less - Roy Keane wasn't a nice bloke, but you'd have him in your team.

Thank you. Ignoring spidey sense again, but, clue's in the name "seat for life" I would think.

I genuinely have no idea what is going on here. I often see the essex vs the rest of forum posts, read a little, shake my head and walk away. My spidey sense tells me that I don't want to know whats going on, but for some reason, I'm ignoring it. Anyone want to - in a paragraph or less- explain what's going on here? I think I missed the start of the saga and can't catch up...

England v Brazil

Incredible. Who in their right mind would pay that? -
Tzolis on his way to Bayern?
All the Germans replied to cambridgeshire canary's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Is that even allowed? I was under the impression you couldn't sell a player that you had bought for "X" amount of time, but no idea if that is actually true or not. -

In ultimate irony, Belgium is definitely more of a country than England is... (cue discussion regarding the definition of "country" - constituent country vs sovereign state). -

Bradley Johnson, the modern (ish) day Jeremy Goss? A bit sh*t but has a worldie to remember in him. -
Based upon that it's easy to suggest that they are thick. However, I'd suggest that anyone that wants a fight based upon football are thick. We have those people too...

Is our £1m investment still at the club?
All the Germans replied to MC_NCFC's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I'm not even sure that it has failed, but signing up to the premise that it has; In the scheme of things, a million isn't a lot. I'd rather we tried these things and they failed than sit there playing 4-4-2 (ironically, Wagner appears to be in favour!) and stagnating. Yeah, I know, people like to complain... -
I appreciate that, and I can understand owners wanting to go that route when paying money for results. However, I watch football because I like it, I want to be entertained. Hughton football was the least entertaining I have witnessed. Sucked the joy out of football said above is bang on. Horrible, just horrible to watch.

It wasn't a foul. I can't say I really thought about the ref during the game, which, in itself tells the story. Now that I think back, I agree, I thought he was really good. Always easier to say when the big calls go your way (even if they are right). Wonder what the WBA fans think of him...
