Let’s calm down, there’s many a slip between cup and lip. We don’t know the background to this. Has Tom told Auntie he doesn’t want the majority ownership of the club so they are looking for outside investment? What is the motivation of the Yanks in wanting to invest in the club? Perhaps they believe that with their investment the club could establish itself in the EPL and as a result the return on their investment would be at a level they would find attractive? Too often talks about investment come to nothing so I’ll believe it when it’s signed, sealed and delivered.

Webbers full interview, out now

He says that we had a good go at survival this season by the spending standards of this club. OK but can he explain why it was spent so badly, why it was pi$$ed up the wall. -

Other than a yoyo hanging from the canary’s beak the new badge is fine. -

Kane and Son against our defence and some think we might win! If we avoid conceding 9 I’ll consider it a minor success. -
Teemu is the only player to come out of this season with credit. He’s not only the best choice, he’s the only one.

Totally agree Ricardo. Ron is my all time favourite City forward and his prowess is reflected in his all time highest goals per game ratio. I still remember his headed goal against Cardiff City defending the Barclay end goal. It thundered home from about 30 yards, just incredible. No wonder Sir Matt Busby described him as the best centre forward in Europe. we sold him for £60000 to Southampton just a few weeks after Newcastle paid £100000 for Wyn Davies. As you say Ricardo, daylight robbery. I was about 11 at the time and damn near cried when I heard the news.

Delia Extends Club Record
Crafty Canary replied to Big Vince's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Under Uncle Bob we had our three highest finishing league positions, an FA Cup semi-final, redevelopment of Carrow Road, and the then UK record fee for the transfer of a centre forward. For all the bile thrown at him his legacy as our most successful Chairman remains undiminished. Furthermore he could be removed by the shareholders unlike Auntie Delia and her hubbie. -

I still think it should have a yoyo dangling from the canary’s beak. -
Danny Murphy "I don't know their identity"
Crafty Canary replied to Ken Hairy's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Our prospects for next season are dependent on: a) Dean Smith having a defined plan for how he wants us to play, b) Having recruitment in and out that gives him the players to effectively implement his plan. I am confident that a) will happen but have serious doubts that b) will. currently I’m predicting upper mid-table for next season. -

Looking on the bright side we would have the best training complex in the National League one of these days.
