  1. Almost every premier league game this weekend had goals conceded by teams trying to play out from the back including Man City. Despite their left back getting caught on the ball they still played some very risky passes in their own penalty area one of which resulted in an excellent move culminating with Mahrez nearly scoring. Mistakes happen and will continue to happen until the current trend of playing out from the back is overtaken by the next trend.
  2. I have been around for a few years west coast in answer to your question, I don't specifically follow you or anyone else so have no idea of your previous posts. Usually I prefer to read rather than post as keyboard discussions very rarely settle any arguments. I am 100% certain that playing out from the back invites more opportunities to lose possession in a dangerous area of the pitch which is a slightly different set of words to those you used.
  3. Seems like a lot of hot air coming from westcoast, the simple fact is that all 11 players are being asked to get the ball down and play all over the pitch and in doing so this will increase the chances of dispossession by the opposition. This is the trend that most teams are following in the top two divisions. When it comes off it is sweet on the eye, when it doesn't there will always be a risk of conceding goal scoring opportunities. The only time I see a hack into the stands is when it is a last ditch interception / tackle. It has been successful so far apart from the odd blip.......like yesterday! Personally, I am enjoying watching us play this way despite the obvious risks.
  4. Statistics have a place in today's world, however there is only one stat that counts and that is goals, not possession, passes or even shots, it is purely and simply goals! Also it needs to be said that Aaron's consistently tries to get the ball down and play / dribble out of defence, this is what makes him the great player / prospect that he is. I would much rather see this than smashing into row z, because of this it is possible that it will happen again. Lets hope for another cracker today although I hope it is done and dusted before the last few minutes as I have to get the 5.30 train home as my domestic manager double booked my early evening 😀 COYY
  5. I think that playing for Shrewsbury in a lower league last season it is difficult to base any comparison with Tettey who, apart from a couple of dodgy games has been superb this season. I would leave it too our management team as they have got most things right so far this season.
  6. I agree that he won't play for us again, I would say that if he played in a team that was set up to accommodate his skills he is an excellent player possibly good enough to play in a top championship side or maybe a lower prem team. He doesn't suit or tactics or the club ethos so the sooner he goes the better for our club.
  7. Surely as a pro footballer he would train well and be professional whether he stays at Norwich or is in the shop window in order to get a move. Any club is unlikely to want an unfit player mid season. It is his livelihood to stay fit and competitive. I think you are reading too much negativity into this issue. We all know him Farke have fallen out and his personality does not fit the club ethos this season but half of the comments made are probably fiction.
  8. A tough game and as stated we have to lose sometime but at least we will be able to blame the trip to the USA which no doubt the usual culprits will flood the site with tonight. They don't come much tougher than Swansea away so I would take a point now.
  9. Anybody that thinks there is an easy game in this league does not understand football, every team we play is full of good players. Why he needs to post such drivel is beyond me. I suppose the Millwall forum will have a like minded poster saying Pukki is a threat! No sh*t!
  10. Could it be something to do with our foreign imports taking a season to get up to speed with living in another country, getting used to the step up in intensity of the football. The fitness and style required is different. Also, our UK based players taking time to take on the different requirements of possession based football rather than if in doubt hoof it? I think Farke has realised the football needed to be played at a faster pace plus we are mixing it up with a few long balls. Finally, finding and playing two fantastic full backs. There are probably many more reasons that I have excluded but certainly from the beginning of the season results didn't reflect how well we were playing, OTBC does the above make me a happy clapper 😁
  11. Ha ha, why not try typing some sense without having to slip "the boy" in every sentence. I suspect your ego is as big as Lamberts bank balance!
  12. No doubt Daniel will take note of your trusted advice on this issue, however do you not think he will remember last year and learn from it?
  13. Class performance, retaining possession in tight situations, comfortable on the ball and moving it more quickly than last season, what''s not to like and enjoy?
  14. How can you moan about him, stands out most games, too good for the championship. Are you sure you know what you are talking about?
  15. The guy is a total loser, we should refrain from responding to the nonsensical rubbish he posts! I try to but every so often I get tipped over the edge!
  16. Spot on Gordon, but that is the reason browsing this site is so funny. Many of the posters on here (no need to name them) have less brain cells than we have points! Worse than sitting in the River End!
  17. I don''t have the time or patience to get involved pointing out the obvious, take a positive pill and support the club, don''t be so negative before a game.
  18. I am amazed that some of you bother to support the club, negativity and constructive criticism I can take but some of the idiotic crap that people spout on here is so ridiculous it just makes me laugh.
