Why? Lambert should stay here, establish us as a solid Premiership club and try and win a cup. Then he will have earned his right to try his hand at say Villa. Martin O''Neill had to keep Leicester in the Premiership for a couple of years and won the League Cup before he got a call for higher matters. And when Lambert does move on, I hope and pray that we hire a quality manager, as our track record is awful, and we could easily find ourselves back in the Championship.

OK, lets put our points across a little bit more intelligently than writing ''kn0bhead''

Lambert is a very good manager, but there''s no suggestion he''s leaving so why discuss it?

He''s doing exceptionally well with a (relatively) low budget and seems to like it here.

Its a funny game this isn''t it? He was being slated on here yesterday (by the OP I would imagine) now he''s on his way to ''bigger and better things'' or does it just go to show how fickle some Norwich, no actually football fans are!

I''d like to thank a few people for my award.

Firstly Rudolph, you invented it, top work fella. I''d then like to thank all the Born Again Purists for jumping on te bandwagon. I''d also like to thank all the people who decided to insult me irrespective of the fact that they didn''t know what I''d posted. Cheers!!

Now, back to the topic. Obviously Lambert will have his eyes on a bigger prize. If the club match his ambition then we might just hold on to him for longer than we can really hope. We''d do well to find another like him.

Kn0bhead was quite sufficient in this case!

Twat after the way Liverpool have been handled no way any teal will appoint PL what has he done taken a team from Div1 to Prem but no significant qualities to prove he can improve any Prem team, possibly if City stay up next season and start to play immense football.  PL has only shown promise not achieved anything of note.

Maybe if he proves he can improve City year .on year willhe become hot property the last few games have exposed some shortcomings regarding team selection.

Say goodbye after next season, if he leaves before he has proved hiw qualities in top division after more than one day in the sun then PL will be in demand.

Stop youre worrying.
At the end of the day he owes us nothing, whilst we owe him everything.
Yes, it was exceedingly generous of him to drop down to league 1 to manage us - especially after the top clubs he had previously managedHe even brought in new board members and an incredibly focussed and professional CEO. That £2m he loaned to us in Jan 2010 was just the boost to pushus  into automatic promotion. Mind you, had he have not renegoitiated some of the outstanding debt I doubt that would have been of any use to us anyway. And to think he could now be taking Colchester into the Chanpions League next season had he not have joined us.

we are a bigger club than Villa...Villa could be a championship side next season, we wont be.Lambert will see them as a backwards step. he is managing a big club now.

"Sadly, I fear he will be Liverpool bound in the summer."He''s not a "big enough name" for "the fans" though.  The only "name" "big enough" is King Kenny.  Not even Woy Hodgson could keep them happy, although they get the same kinds of results now under The King.  Maybe Hughes is "big enough" ?Mind you, the Toon Army so seem to be laying off Pardew now that Cisse and Ba are knocking in goals for fun...

We were second from bottom...in League One when Lambert came here, have a bit of gratitude, we owe him everything.
