We won but......

Recommended Posts

........calm down a bit people.

Yes we won away at Spurs and played well, but Blackburn won at Man Utd.  Man Utd are a better team than Spurs (as the table shows) and Blackburn are below us in the table so comparatively it''s not something we should be getting too carried away with.  Teams lower down do beat the top teams.  All these we will beat Man City, Liverpool easy 3 points etc etc comments are silly.

Pride comes before a fall.  Yes we played well and won, but that doesn''t suddenly make us world beaters.  If the players fall into the same trap that some of the fans have on here, then we''ll struggle against such teams.

We''ve beaten Spurs, but next season will still be mighty tough and it will be a massive achievement if we stay up again!  Like I say, Blackburn won at Man U but are still deep in relegation trouble, take heed![;)]

Who is claiming "we will beat Man City, Liverpool easy 3 points etc etc" ?I doubt anyone isWhat many City fans will be thinking is that after a performance like today we have a better chance than before, that''s all

No need for that post really, was a fantastic performance, the second in three days. People are perfectly capable of curbing their own expectations without people telling them to do so.

Was a fantastic win, and not a bad word should be uttered about NCFC today.

That''s not on BW.   If you have something to say, say it in public.  Otherwise it''s harassment.

Unfortunately it is a well known forum trick, make something up so that you can knock it down -why he should want to do that we can only guess atotherwise every genuine City fan will be celebrating the game as much as the resultan absolutely awesome performance that saw a team of ex Championship/League 1 players rip into what had been the 3rd best teanm so far this season- and for those who might want to claim Spurs had gone ''off the boil'' recently, well Everton have been totally ''on the boil'' and we still matched thema great time to be a CITY fan, so enjoy it how you wish

I give up. I hope the OP doesn''t run a business or is in a position of authority in the public sector.

Two brilliant games where we are playing with a great balanced system and players that are so comfortable on the ball, I really don''t want someone to tell me to calm down.

I''m ecstatic and when I think of the people who first brought me to The Carra in the 1950''s who have long gone and other dedicated yellas taken far to early, I''m so pleased and honoured to be experiencing these last three years.

When I think how our club had been led and now we have Bowkett/McNasty/Lambo. A total professional set-up. Yep I''m quite happy thanks!!

I replied to a thread saying this was the best result of the season so far by saying, tongue slightly in cheek, that it''ll only be the best result of the season until we beat Man City next week or Liverpool to go above them. I put a winky face on the top of the message and in the text, and it was quite clearly just a sort of positive tongue in cheek statement.

People aren''t over reacting are they. We''ve just beaten a side in the Champions League spots, we''ve got a right to be proud of our players after a performance like that. If people were genuinely now coming out and saying "well we''ve beaten Spurs, I now fully expect us to win every game left and finish in the Europa League places", then the opening poster might have a point. But nobody is saying that, so he hasn''t.
