I am definitely not laughing at QPR

Recommended Posts

Expensively assembled group of "experienced" players

Expensively fired and hired managers

Said "team" falling apart almost immediately with three red cards and defeats in a row

New manager already disgraced himself

Top 6 teams all still to play after home defeat to Fulham

It really isn''t funny. At all.

Has Hughes done anything that can be seen as positive?

Cisse got sent off in his second game, Zamora is on 90K a week, suppose Onouha is a decent signing, but he''ll be off when they go down. And they are pretty much the best three players he bought. He doesn''t seem to be getting results, or any kind of positive reaction from his players.

Are QPR any better, performance wise, than they were under Warnock? Because if anything they are worse result wise...

Got in a scuffle with Jol at the final whistle. Don''t actually know who is to blame but sine the game was a disaster for them and Hughes is a notoriously bad loser, I''m guessing he was at fault. I might be guilty of outrageous assumptions though!

pro''s and cons with QPR going down.

If they go down = we don''t really like them and they could have even more money next season.

If they stay up = Shepards bush is a lot closer and easier to get to than Bolton/B''burn/Wigan (especially for me).

This might have something to do with it too.

Good work Mr Jol - worked a treat!

Mark Hughes is displaying the same traits that cost him his job at Man City

- poor use of talent, an unreliable defence and disciplinary disaster.

The thing with QPR that p155es me off, is that they have only taken 5 points out of their last possible 30, yet they are still outside the bottom 3.  I want them to go down, but I think they will stay up, just.  I agree about Derry and the like.  There must be a lot of players who helped get them up, that well peed that they''ve been dumped for the big time Charlies...

Precisely Jed.

They are the total antithesis of ourselves. They''ve taken the tried, tested - and increasingly discredited - route of throwing unearned, lucky money at the problem of staying in the premier league. In doing so they''ve got what you always get from the solution - a motley crew of hastily assembled mercenaries who don''t know each other, have no shared motive or interest to support each other, and sure as hell have absolutely no affinity for the shirt they pull on every week. It''s a wonder that such an approach has ever worked, let alone been tried so many times.

If they stay up it will be in spite of their approach to premier league survival, not because of it.

I have a bit of an affinity with QPR and as such I see this from the ordinary fans perspective.

Warnock did his job, like him or not he gained promotion but had to sweat because of poor business dealings over a player acquisition.

Warnock couldn''t improve his squad because of takeover wranglings.

In comes Fernandes and it''s never a good thing when the Chairman or Owner thinks he''s a manager and sticks his oar in.

In came a load of prima donnas and permanent crocks who couldn''t give a stuff about QPR while honest players like Derry get sidelined having earned promotion in the first place.

Then out goes Warnock, in comes Hughes and out comes the cheque book to sign high cost players on potentially club crippling contracts - if they go down - and the performances go from bad to worse.

For the ordinary fan this pantomime plays out in front of them, they must struggle to identify with their players and feel badly let down.

Pure and simple it''s a victory for football that Swansea and Norwich are confidently clear of QPR.

They won the league last season but their crass spending and disloyalty to the heroes who won them promotion has left them far adrift from the sides which finished directly beneath them. Long may it continue.
